Leo's POV:

"So she said no to you" Anya growled angrily
"No, she said I should just give her some time"  I said calmly back to her

It was the next day at school and I was currently having lunch at my usual table with all my friends telling them all that happened between I and Hermione

"I think she has her reasons, maybe she's been some heartbreak and can't love anymore" Luna stated
"Or maybe she's just playing hard to get, I suggest Leo walks over and have his lunch with her" Anya said and everyone looks at her surprised

"No, trust me guys, if Leo keeps going over to her, she's bound to say yes" she said again
"Look Anya, you are acting all stupid, I don't believe in love but I don't think if I had a real boyfriend I'd let him go nilly willy" Roxy said to Anya
"Hey, I'm your real boyfriend" Josh (Roxy's flavor of the day) said hurt but everyone ignores him
"Please do this for me Leo" Anya said giving me the puppy eyes also totally ignoring what Roxy just said
"Fine" I muttered getting up while she smiles widely

I honestly wanted to leave that table, Anya's new selfish character is starting to irritate me, it isn't so cute anymore. I thought this would all end after like a week or two but no, she just loves competiting with Kendra.

"Hey" I say as I slipped into the seat next to Hermione opposite Nikita
"Hi" Nikita muttered while picking up her fork
"Hi" Hermione also said but shyly
"Um...Nikita can you......."
"No need to ask" She interrupted me with a smile before getting up and leaving just I and Hermione alone ......again

"So, how've you been?" Hermione asked, obviously she didn't know what to say
"Cool, you?"
"Great"
"Did you think about what I told you yesterday" I asked her rather too early also unsure of getting a good answer
"Yes, I have" she said breathing heavily
"And you answer is?"
"Why not?, I honestly haven't been through this relationship stuff before so I though that it would be great if my first boyfriend was the person who saved my life and my dignity" she said cheerfully her face turning red.

She's gonna be a tough heart to break, she considers me her hero, I just can't do this.

"Really?, I didn't even really expect you to say yes but you did, I love you so much" I found myself saying and giving her a huge hug. I'm such a terrible person
"So, we are dating now?" Hermione asked after we broke from the hug
"Yes" I replied raising an eyebrow
"Just like that?" She asked still unsure
"What were you expecting?, a ring?, a vow?, a letter?, a certificate?" I asked chuckling
"Not really, never mind" she said timidly blushing some more
"So, what are the things that boyfriend and girlfriend do?" She said then quickly covered her mouth with her hand. Obviously, she didn't want to say that, she just blurted it out and that made me laugh
"You're so naive" I said still laughing making her more timid then an Idea popped in my head

"You know Brandon?" I asked
"Yeah, he's that guy with the strange accent that holds a party at his house every Friday night" she said
"Do you know what day of the week it is?" I asked
"It's Friday, why?" She said so innocently
"We are going to Brandon's party tonight pumpkin" I said poking her nose which of course made her blush
"I don't do night parties" she said
"But you will tonight, either you say yes now or I'll tell Nikita to make you say yes" I said, I know how all the best friends of nerds are so what Nikita would do to make Hermione come to a night party with me was something any dum-dum can guess easily.
"OK, fine I'll go but I can only be there for two hours" she said after a few seconds of her inner debating
"I'll, pick you up by nine then, bye pumpkin" I said pecking her cheeks ignoring her blush before strutting away.

I checked my watch again and thankfully it was 8:15, it's a fifteen minute ride from my house to Hermione's so I'll be able to pick her up and bring her here in time.
I checked the mirror one last time looking at my gorgeous reflection

Ignore the guy and focus on his outfit

Satisfied with my look, I took my car keys and left the house. I didn't have to take permission from anyone because my parents were out of the country for the month so basically, I'm a free man.

I got to Hermione's house a few minutes later and knocked on the door and almost immediately, Nikita came opening the door hurriedly
"Welcome Leo, take a look at your Juliet" she said moving aside giving me a close look at Hermione

Again ignore the features

She looked elegant and simple, I'm usually used to hanging out with girls that dress to expose some parts of their body, the only thing she exposed were her shoulders and she looked awfully uncomfortable with it, I'm sure Nikita must have forced her into wearing this.

"You look stunning" I compliment here
"Thanks" she said blushing terribly
"Shall we go now" I said giving her my hand and she takes it with her's and we make to leave while she waves Nikita goodbye.

"Is this gonna be your first night party?" I asked trying to start up a conversation with her
"Yes" she answered
"O, since it's your first, I advice you don't drink too much" I said again
"I don't even drink at all" she says with a little chuckle

"Did Nikita dress you up?" I asked after a long silence
"Yes, she did"
"Then she did a very great job, you look flawless" I said and as predicted, she blushed again
"That blushing thing, it's either a habit or you get flattered easily" I said half concentrating on the road while the other half of my concentration were on her
"I don't do it on purpose, it just happens" she said blushing some more from embarrassment
"I think it's cute" I told her truthfully.
Normally, I hate girls that over blush but Hermione just looks so good doing it and she does it almost every time. She easily turns red. Wait, red. RED

"RED" I finally blurted out
"Did you say something?" She asked
"I'm gonna call you red, because when ever you get complimented you turn as red as a tomato" I say teasingly and sure enough she blushed
She is so cute to be honest.

"And we are there" I say pulling up my seatbelts and opening the door while she does the same. Finally the ride was over.
"This is your house, right?" she asked pointing to the house opposite Brandon's
(Remember I and Brandon were neighbors)
"Yes" I replied and held her hand motioning her to Brandon's house while she just stares at mine.
We were already in the building and the first person we had to meet was Anya looking hot as ever

"Hi, Leo" she said looking at my hand in Hermione's
"Hi, didn't know you'll show up tonight" I lied
"Even I didn't know" she said chuckling before fully turning to Hermione
"Hi there, it's Dranes, right?" Anya asked but Hermione didn't answer and just kept staring at the floor holding my hands tightly
"Can't you talk?, speak up I don't bite" Anya said but still Hermione kept silent
"Leo, your girlfriend needs to get her priorities in order" Anya finally said before walking away leaving us alone.
OK, that was really rude of her but why was Hermione silent?, is she scared of Anya?

I didn't say anything else instead I pulled Hermione towards the bar section, although it smelled badly of alcohol, it was the only place two people could sit, talk and understand what they were telling each other.

"What was that?" I said when we were finally seated, although she looked terrible as she wasn't use to the smell of alcohol, I didn't have a choice
"What?" She asked
"Why didn't you talk back at Anya?"
"Well, um....I....."
"Are you afraid of her?"
"No, it's just that" she said then paused again
"That what?"
"Well, Anya is the most popular girl at school, you should know the position she holds, she is a bad girl hot stuff and you should also know how those type of people are with stupid, naive, nerds like me, I've always tried to get her to stop calling me Dranes but my first name Hermione but instead she got everyone at school to call me that except Nikita of course. She always enjoy picking on me, sometimes she tears my notebooks for fun, there was a time she put ketchup on my seat so when I sit on it and get stained everyone would think......." She said but stopped there and I knew what she meant
"That's terrible" I said honestly, I didn't know Anya could do such?, if she hated Hermione then did she want me to date Hermione?

"Do you want to dance?" I asked her trying to lighten the mood
"I'm not a great dancer" she answered
"Come on, I'll teach you" I said before dragging her to the dance floor where other people were on already but unfortunately for us, Anya and her fake boyfriend Jones, were part of them and Anya was giving Hermione death glares.

I hope she's not thinking what I'm thinking
