14 | DISAPPEAR

"General Kenobi has made contact with General Grievous... and we have begun our attack." A commander backing up Obi Wan in the outer rim to attack Grievous announced to Windu, Anakin and Tara.

"Thank you, Commander." Windu thanked.

"Anakin, deliver this report to the chancellor. His reaction will give us a clue to his intentions." Windu instructed Anakin.

"Yes, Master." Anakin obeyed instantly.

"I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi. The dark side of the Force surrounds the chancellor. If he does not give up his emergency powers... after the destruction of Grievous... then he should be removed from office." Tara spoke lowly to Windu, her hands properly behind her back.

"The Jedi Council would have to take control of the senate... in order to secure a peaceful transition." Windu mentioned.

"To a dark place this line of thought will carry us. Great care we must take." Yoda muttered.

Anakin discovered that Palpatine was a Sith Lord from conversing with him and being his personal Jedi representative. He went off with Windu to go defeat him, but, when he came back to Tara, he wasn't the same. He was another person. A stranger to Tara. A truly disturbed and terrified man.

Word coming from Jedi all over the universe was that they were being slaughtered by the millions. Their own armies and clones were becoming their enemy and the senate had turned against the Jedi. Everything was going to Hell. And it was all because Palpatine had finally been unmasked as a Sith Lord.

Tara, fortunately, had been left behind with the children that day. When Anakin entered the room, he looked horrible and so angry. "Master Skywalker, there's too many of them, what are we going to do?" One child asked Anakin while they all huddled around Tara's legs.

But before Tara could react she saw Anakin turn on his lightsaber. Then he began going after the kids. Tara screamed in horror and reached for her own lightsaber. She tried to fight off Anakin from slaughtering all the children before her, though he did look devastated having to do it, but she couldn't save them all. He was on a rampage. One that Tara could never forgive him for.

Some of the children managed to scurry away but Tara continued to fight Anakin. "Anakin! Please, stop!!" Tara began to sob while fighting him.

"I did this for you! To save you!" Anakin screamed at her.

Tara began to cry hysterically. "Murdering children will not save me! And now.. you've lost me, forever. If it is me that is causing you to accept such evil in your heart, I will disappear. You aren't the Anakin I fell in love with! You are a monster! The Anakin I loved has died, leaving me a widow!" She shouted at him, standing down, putting her lightsaber away. She bolted towards the nearest exit and ran as fast as her legs could take her to the hangar to take a ship to run away.
