Jasmine was quiet pleased with her sister's argument, even if it voiced out that Marley was related to the Moonlight Healing Pack. The pack knew where the Luna stood. They witnessed the disrespect of the Head Doctor towards the Luna. Even if they were agreeing with Marley, it would be hard to agree with Layla.
"Is that what you really think of my sister and I?" Jasmine asked, breaking the tension between two former best friends. "That I would hurt my family. That my sister isn't a good Luna."
Layla crossed her arms, "I just think that Luna Denice is making a mistake."
Jasmine shook her head, "Then you are saying the Alpha made a mistake. You are saying everyone who approved is making a mistake on the Luna. She deserves respect, not this. Your previous relationship with her should not dictate how this court meeting will go."
"That's not what is happening."
Jasmine shook her head, "You have also thought you were more than the Head Doctor, and it has only gotten worst since Marley came here. You are overstepping your position."
"That's enough," the Beta spoke. Nobody in the pack noticed him scribbling down everything he heard. Beside each quote, he added notes as he scrambled through the truths in each statement. "I would advise everyone to wait till they are given permission to speak," he waited till he got understanding looks from everybody.
"Marley, is it true you have a relationship between the Moonlight Healing Pack?"
Marley nodded her head, "I do." She took another deep breath before the words passed over her lips. The one law no one was allowed to break, no matter the situation, was broken. "The pack that got attack was the Moonlight Healing Pack," she whispered, afraid that somehow her pack would punish her.
The last time someone broke the rule was three hundred years ago. Most outsiders don't believe the rumors that was formed back then, but Marley can prove it. Her entire pack was forced to travel to a new home, running away from pack and rogues alike to a new safety. She wasn't born then, but she heard the stories and she read the paper work.
A numbered of whispered escaped pack members' lips as they voiced their thoughts.
"That was what Gabby was talking to me about," the member of the Moonlight Healing Pack continued. "She wanted to get me to tell Alpha Joey, but it's the biggest law one can break."
Jasmine looked murderous.
Denice blinked.
Layla stared at her mate, not knowing what she was supposed to feel. Her mate, her Marley, never told her about this. She never mentioned something so important.
"I know it's hard to believe, but it's true," Marley looked around the room, already knowing they needed more evidence to prove it. "Head Doctor Layla died, and I brought her back to life. It was the first time I have ever used my powers," she turned to look at her mate and the Luna. "The power come when they come. That's why I couldn't heal myself before."
The Beta paused from his hand writing, "Marley we believe you are related to the Moonlight Healing Pack; however, we have nothing to prove the pack still exists. There has been cases of rogues having the ability to heal, but that doesn't prove that the pack still lives on."
"Her being somehow, magically related doesn't prove anything," Jasmine voiced. "It doesn't excuse her crimes. She tried to kill Gabby."
"I," Marley snapped again, but she was caught off. Jasmine knew if she spoke, she would lose. She needed to take the conversation from Marley and away from Gabby being in the center.
"Gabby's blood is all over her body including her scent," Jasmine hissed out. "Marley's scent is also mixed in with Gabby's."
"So is yours," Layla yelled, standing up. "You're proving nothing!"
"Head Doctor Layla," Beta Roger spoke, "please settle down. I understand you are upset, but you need to remain in your seat and you need to remain calm. I'm handling it."
Layla nodded her head before sitting down.
"You really think Marley is innocent," Luna Denice whispered. Layla didn't make any movement or noise to answer her. The Luna sighed, already calm from their last talk. In their friendship, Denice was easier to calm down than Layla was. "If Marley didn't try to kill Gabby, that means Jasmine did," Luna added.
"You know Jasmine since birth Layla," Luna pleaded, "she couldn't do something like this."
Layla stared at Denice before she shook her head. She smiled softly, "Deep down, you know Jasmine could be lying about this. You're too scared to admit it."
"Jasmine," Roger spoke again, "Layla is right. Your statement doesn't have the effect you need to completely prove Marley committed the crime."
"Beta Roger," Marley began, "please let me help Gabby. Jasmine is the one who tried to kill her. Look at her finger nails."
Jasmine shook her head, "Looking at my finger nails will prove nothing since your finger nails have Gabby's blood on it too."
Marley smirked at her, the first smile she had since she was thrown into the court room, "Maybe so, but my blood is there too. It proves that you didn't try to contain me. You attacked me. It means you lied."
"I must have not realized I drew blood as I was saving Gabby," Jasmine turned to the Beta and the Heads. "I was worried about Gabby's heath. I must have lost control. Marley didn't display any wounds." A fake sense of regret flashed in the Head Trainer's eyes, and it was all that was needed for the pack to see humanity within their own member.
Jasmine straighten her shoulders before taking a deep breath and narrowing her eyes. "Marley could heal herself. It was only a matter of time before she could over power Gabby and I. I was too slow to get up, and then she tried to rip Gabby apart."
There was nothing Marley could say, only a pathetic, "I didn't. That was you." Truthfully, Marley didn't know why she had a hard time healing herself for a moment. She felt her head pounding when she was trying to save Gabby, and then she was fine. However, she was too late to stop Jasmine from attacking.
The only other time she saw that was when she was with her pack.
Wolfsbane.
She was injected with wolfsbane.
Marley could barely hear Layla screaming. She didn't even noticed when Jefferson and Luke were order to grab her, forcing her out of the court room.
"Marley is innocent," the Head Doctor screamed. "She didn't kill Gabby!"
When the door slammed shut, and Marley was focusing on her surroundings. She could feel the heated gazes on her. She could hear the whispers. She looked up at Beta Roger, seeing him watching her.
"Wolfsbane," Marley spoke. She watch as the Beta got confused. "Wolfsbane." She stood up, feeling herself sweat. She felt like she was burning. She felt weak. "Jasmine has access to wolfsbane," she whispered. Her eyes realized at the truth.
She could feel her wolf suffering to heal her. It was only a matter of time before she fell into a comma. Marley knew when she moved slow, the wolfsbane started to take affect. Her body and wolf could handle only so much, and who knows how much Jasmine gave Marley.
Marley had a feeling Jasmine gave her more than she ever had before, during the fight, during the walk back to the Alpha.
Marley started to sway, and before anyone could move, she fell to the floor.

Yelp, that must suck. Gabby is literally dying, Layla was thrown out, Alpha Joey is currently gone, Luna Denice is delusional, Jasmine is playing the entire pack, and Marley just fainted.
QQ (#31): What is your opinion on Beta Roger, co-Head Trainer Jefferson, and Head Guard Luke?
