Three
First Year,
I Just Know He's Entitled
She woke up, refreshed and ready for the day, she quickly brushed through her hair, tying it back into a ponytail. Styling her hair wasn't something she was willing to spend forever doing, fast hairstyles were her thing, like braids, ponytails, buns, in a headband or just left down.
She hoped to see Phoebe but it appear that she had already left for her classes, she was hoping she could tell her where Transfiguration was. She was sure she'd find it, how hard could it be, the chances of seeing her sister were slim, their houses were on opposite sides of the school.
Luck was on her side as she found the Transfiguration classrooms, she smiled hurrying over to Aurora, hooking her arm with her cousins. Nott and his friend Malfoy both smirked at the two girls, she shot him with a look so cold, if looks could kill Nott would be six feet under. He only smirked more.
"Have a good night?" she asked, smiling at Aurora, taking her attention away from Nott.
"Better than I thought it would be," Aurora smiled back at her, "Hadrian and I spoke throughout the night, we both couldn't sleep,"
The two cousins sat together, three boys ended up being late to class, McGonagall surprised them by changing from her cat form in front of them, right as they spoke of how mad McGonagall would be if they were late, unknown to them she was in the classroom with them.
They quickly found their seats, Katherine couldn't help but smile as they whispered eyeing the professor watching out for her changing into a cat again. She along with Aurora listened closely to professor McGonagall's teachings as they took notes on the topic.
As their lesson neared the end, Aurora leaned into her, "Could I invite Hadrian to hang out with us?"
"Yeah, what's he like?" she asked, curious to know more about the boy Aurora had befriended. Were they friends?
"We didn't talk about much, but he seems understanding,"
Once the class had ended, she and Aurora waited for Hadrian as Phoebe had cornered him, she was worried about her brother. Katherine could see that, she cared deeply for her brother and while she played it cool last night she could tell she was nervous about him being in Slytherin too, just as she was nervous for Aurora.
Malfoy and Nott walked towards them as she and Aurora moved to the side, Nott still walked into her side. She huffed as he chuckled continuing to walk, she gripped her wand in her hand mumbling a jinx under her breath, causing his robe to lift over his head blocking his view, as he struggled to get it back down she quickly hurried Aurora and Hadrian away.
"Did you do that?" the boy asked, she nodded. "That's pretty funny," he offered his hand to her, "Hadrian,"
"Katherine," she said shaking his hand.
"What did you do?" her cousin exclaimed, looking back and hearing all the commotion.
"Don't worry about it," she ushered them out on the field.
"Fantastic Kat, now Malfoy's taunting will be worse,"
"Leave Malfoy to me," Hadrian told her, "I know how to deal with that type of person,"
"Oh really?" Aurora mused.
"Yeah, my mother still has two favours to cash in with Draco's father, I'm sure she'll let me use one, not that I'd need," Aurora looked at her,
"How in merlin's world did your mum, get not one but two favours from a Malfoy," she asked, he shrugged his shoulders,
"I don't know, I just know she does,"
"I might have to pay your mum a visit, learn her tricks," Aurora joked, "then maybe I could get Malfoy to owe me a couple of favours," she added making Hadrian laugh.
"I'm sure she'd share her secrets, just don't tell her you intend to use them, for your own personal reasons, my mother's all for helping people, not using people,"
"I might have to try them out on Nott,"
"What happened between you two?" Hadrian questioned
"Nothing major, he's just rude and I just know he's entitled,"
"Why's that?"
"He's a Nott, no doubt he's a rich pure-" she paused, realising who she was talking to, "I don't mean to say all rich Purebloods are like that, you and your sister seem really cool-
"It's fine," Hadrian laughed, "I expect it, especially being sorting in Slytherin,"
"Still I'm sorry,"
She shook her head, 'maybe she should have cut Nott some slack,' he might have been just like Hadrian Black, not living up to the reputation of his family name. However, with the company of Draco Malfoy she had her doubts.
There was only one way to find out, Aurora was her cousin, and a Slytherin she was absolutely positives that she'd run into him again. Whether it be by coincidence or on purpose, she knew she wasn't going to see the last of Theodore Nott.
'Oh how I wish it would be the last time,'
