"Let's go home", Winter said with her relieved voice tone. At least Karina was alright. Gladly Winter made it on time.

Slowly, Karina stood up and got out from the barrel. Her eyes and her leg were still shaking from what just happen to her.

"Winter... I'm... I'm--"

Karina couldn't finish her words when Winter already hugging her tightly, planting her forehead on Karina's shoulder in relief.

"It's okay. I'm okay if you are okay...", Winter said as she let out a heavy sigh from her breath. Then Karina realized something. Winter...

"Oh my god, Winter! Your fever got worse!", Karina putting her palm on Winter's forehead. Winter was burning for real. Just looking at her face, seems like Winter could collapse anytime. Also, Karina saw a little cut on Winter's cheek and left hand, making Karina more worried about Winter.

"Get on my back!", Karina kneeled right in front of Winter.

"W-What?"

"Just get on! Hurry!"

Karina helped Winter lie down on the bed. She also pulled off Winter's mask and jacket away. Looking at Winter's condition, Karina keep telling herself that this was all her fault. If she wasn't so stupid to go around alone by herself, Winter would not be so sick like this.

"Open your shirt", Karina said to Winter.

"Excuse me?", Winter was so pale right now.

"Open your shirt, you idiot!", instead of waiting for Winter to open her shirt, Karina already force-opening the white shirt by herself, leaving only Winter's sports bra on her tops.

For a moment, Karina was shocked by the view she had seen. BUT! Not because she was awed by Winter's body beauty, but it's because she could see there were plenty of scars on her body. Karina felt like she wanted to cry right at that moment. This is so heartbreaking.

"How long have you done this job?", Karina asked, somehow looking so much in sadness, putting her head down.

"Why?", Winter asks.

"I'm just curious...".

"It's been 4 years already", Winter answered. But then Winter could feel a drop of water. Nope. A tear came down and touched her belly. That's when she realized that Karina was crying.

"Rina? Why--"

"It's nothing!", Karina wiped her tears away and lifted her head up.

"Let me treat you first", Karina stood up and went outside the room to take what she needed to.

After treating Winter, Karina couldn't help herself from staying right next to Winter. It was so heartbreaking to see Winter like this. So she did all of those jobs, bringing herself to danger and ending up getting all of those scars on her body?

What is more heartbreaking is that most of the scars were caused when Winter tried to protect Karina.

"I'm sorry, Winter", Karina said in her low voice.

"What are you apologizing for?"

"Because I put you in danger"

A moment later, Karina could feel a hand stroking her head gently. Karina slowly lifted her head up to see Winter smiling sweetly towards her, even tho her face had that scar from earlier.

"You know what? I decided to stop doing this job. Maybe you are going to be the last one. The last one, and forever", Winter said.

"What do you mean?", Karina lifted her eyebrows in confusion as her eyes stared deep into the warmth WInter trying to show her through her orbs.

"I want to protect you every day. Not because it was my job. But it's my own will to protect you. And I will keep doing that as long as I can", the younger girl smile timidly, but her eyes never leave Karina's, still looking into her deep.

"I love you, Karina", Winter smiled again.

Karina couldn't endure it more, she finally burst into tears while hugging Winter's non-cover body. Winter just gave a slow yet gentle stroke to Karina's head.

"Don't you dare to do this job after me!"

"Alright, ma'am. I promise".

And the afternoon ended with Winter who was sick getting her rest time again by sleeping while being accompanied by Karina who was sleeping right next to her.

Both were pretty tired from what just happened, so I guess both needed to sleep for a moment.
