The Laughs
I was 18 and moving out of my parents house. I decided to move in with my friend and we agreed to split the rent on an apartment we found. This apartment was the cheapest one we could find near our college campus. Our first day in the apartment we just mapped out where everything was gonna go. Then we got to work decorating and rearranging our apartment. It was perfect, everything fit perfectly plus the decor was comfortable and gave off cottage in the woods vibes. We agreed that she would cook because I can't, and I would buy the groceries. After the first few days there we started to wonder why this nice apartment was so cheap to begin with. We wanted more info on the events involving our new apartment so we decided to look it up. That night when we went to sleep I heard a knock on my window and giggles coming from my closet. (Damn even the demons haven't come out the closet lmao). I looked out the window and realized that the knock came from the inside seeing as we live on the 5th floor. I didn't bother checking the closet and went to sleep in the living room out of fear. The next day I told my friend about the incident from last night, she also had the same thing happen to her. Later that day we found out twin girls were murdered when they were 8. They were found with their throats slit and eyes missing in the now living room. Their favorite game was the knocking game. During this game both players must hide and try to find each other with their eyes closed. They have to knock on the closest thing to them then they take five more steps towards the knocks. Each twin had their own room, the rooms we sleep in now. Upon learning about this we had a more uneasy feeling living there. We stayed anyway because we had no where else to go.

Teens found locked in a room having gone insane. They have been transported to an asylum and refuse to be in separate rooms. Everywhere in the house is the same message written multiple times on the walls, "Knock knock, five steps to go, in this game we play." Both teens seem to not be able to open their eyes and only use knocks to communicate with each other. After getting translation they both say the same thing, "Don't look into their eyes or agree to the game." Both teens are being charged with murder for two police officers, both officers were found with their throats slit and eyes gouged out in the living room, with the note, "It was either us or them."
