Chapter 7: Truth or Dare Part 2
*Last Time*
Out of the blue, he pulls out of the kiss.
"I've got to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back," he says as he stands up and left. My fingers trace over my lips and one thing comes to my mind: what just happened.
*To the Present Time*
What just happened? What did he just do? Why did he kiss me? Why is my heart beating faster? Why do I feel speechless? Why he did go without an explanation? Why is the sun yellow? Why does 2+2=4? Why is my eye hurting? A bunch of random questions spin around my head, some confusing me more the longer I think about them and some out of content. What if he just used me for his dare? That would make sense since he walked away like nothing happe ed. He just used my own payback plan against me! I am so getting him back for this.
After few minutes of questioning what just happened, Justin finally comes out of the bathroom, acting like nothing happened.
"Truth or dare, Gorgeous?" He asks as he sits down in the on the desk.
"Truth," I reply with full confidence that this will somehow go against me.
"Would you like me to kiss you again?" He has a huge smirk on his face, as I feel my face heats up.
"Can I change it to it to a dare?" I ask not wanting to answer his question.
"Sure, anything for you, Gorgeous." He gives me a genuine smile, and I sigh in relief. "I dare you to tell me if you liked the kiss or not,"
"Are you serious?" I am so close to killing him right now. "Why do you want to know?"
"It's your question not mine, so answer it?"
"Mm.... I guess I did,"
"So you liked it," he asks moving closer to me.
"Did I say that, I-I meant -uhhh.... bananas, yeah I meant I guess bananas," he starts laughing at my terrible attempt to cover up my huge mistake.
"Sure, you did,"
"You know I meant that and only that." I am quite upset that he didn't believe me, big again I'm not even sure if I believed myself. "Any who, truth or dare?"
"Truth,"
"What were you doing at the abandoned park?"
His face makes it obvious that this isn't a subject that he would like to talk about. This is something I must dig into.
"Can I change to dare?" He asks me. The first thing that comes to my mind is payback time.
"Ok sure, I dare you to tell me why you came over to me at the park." I just gave him some of his own medicine.
"Are you serious?" He asks as he gives me that gives me the 'really' face.
"As serious as a heart attack,"
"Please just change it?"
"What, just can't be that bad. It's not like you were stalking me," awkward silence. "You weren't stalking me, right?" I am afraid to hear the answer for that question. But I know that he wasn't. "Just tell me Justin. I'll do whatever you what me to if you do,"
"Whatever?" You could see a fate grin on his face.
I nod my head knowing that I am going to regret this later, but the nosy side of me always wins.
"Well, one day I went to Costa and saw you with some girl. A week later I saw you sitting at the park, and since the park is was supposed to be closed, it was odd why you were there. I was going to ask you why you were here, but I was too afraid. I kept on seeing you in different places, so I decided that next time I see you I will go up and talk to you."
"So you were stalking me?" I say, a bit creeped out about the fact he was stalking me.
"No, I was accidentally bumping into you, multiple times,"
"So you weren't stalking me?"
"Yes,"
"But you were stalking me, weren't you?"
"For the last time, I wasn't stalking you! You seriously need to chill out."
"I'm sorry, it's not every day you find out that some hot guy was stalking you."
"You think I'm hot?" He asks, as I start to regret what I said. Why couldn't I say weird, stupid, ugly or any other word, but hot? Why did I even say he's hot? Does that mean I think he's hot? Probably not, well hopefully.
"I did not say that, you must have heard me wrong."
"I'm pretty sure that I heard you right,"
"Any who, back to topic," I say trying to avoid whatever that was going to lead to. "If you wouldn't call it stalking, what would you call it?"
"I would call it accidentally bumping into someone multiple times. And one day you decide to follow them to see what is their daily routine, without them knowing what so ever, once. But that is completely different for stalking," he's acting as if it is normal. I just hope this hasn't be going on for too long, or else I have the worst type of friends.
"I just want to make it clear that is practically the definition of stalking and the only reason I haven't called the police or force you to leave is that I have no other friends. But you so owe me." I decided to forget all of this since I don't want to be a lonely geezer, but trust me, I won't do that all the time.
"Now for my part of the deal," he sits up and looks like he is thinking. Great, when he thinks nothing good happens. Well that is when he tries to use his brain, which is rare. But to be honest I don't know what he means by his part of the deal.
"What do you mean?" I ask, still confused.
"You don't remember, do you?"
I slowly shake my head and sarcastically say, "Of course I just want to pretend that I didn't know since I love to hear you talk about stuff I don't care about and never will. Of course, I don't know, you idiot."
"I am not an idiot and U bet that you do love hearing me talk about stuff you actually do care about but just to heartless to tell me. But I get, being near greatness is hard. Trust me, you'll get used to it." he says.2
"Just let it go, Diamond, let it go," I whisper to myself to stop me from causing a volcanic eruption.
"You have to remember begging me to tell you about the 'thing'."
"I still don't get it," I say still confused. Is it just me or does his none of his words make sense right now? Probably just me.
"You have to remember saying this: 'Oh Justin, please just tell me want that was please. I'll do anything if you tell me." He made his voice go high pitched, so he can do his terrible impression of me.
Oh that's what he means. I wouldn't say it's a deal. Plus, I didn't think he would take it seriously.
"I don't sound like that," I say turning to face him.
"Sure, you don't," I can tell that he isn't being genuine, I was about to argue back but he interrupts me "Anywho, back to the deal."
I roll my eyes, " Urgh fine, what do you want?"
"I want a date."
