It was a very normal day in the land of Hermitcraft. Almost too normal. There was no war, no pranks and no chaos.

It has been a good couple of days since they have seen Grian, the trouble maker of the server. Etho is also not seen in around the server. The jungle crew was the first to notice Grian's disappearance since they live so close together.

The jungle crew met up in front of Grian's mansion, which feels oddly cold. The whole down section to the trading place is blocked and the main door is slightly opened. Definitely not a normal occurrence.

"Let's go in I guess?" Stress started

"Yep, let's go" Iskall agreed

"I hope he is okay" Scar added

"He'll be fine, he is a tough man" Mumbo reassured

They all stepped in the mansion, everything looked normal, except that there were red vines, quite a lot of it.

"What in the world happened here" Mumbo said whilst touching a blood vine, it feels oddly warm and comforting.

"Everything seems... Corrupted" Scar added.

"Ow, even magma blocks? " Said Iskall who accidentally stepped on a magma block.

"I have a bad feeling about this... Should we call X? " Stress suggested

"Good idea, I feel weird about this... stuff" Mumbo added

<Xisuma> yep, what's the problem?

<StressMonster101> meet us at the front of Grian's mansion, it should be self-explanatory.

"These vines seems to come from the trading hall" Iskall said after inspecting the giant fireplace, which is now cold and unlit.

"Let's go down stairs then" Stress said whilst heading out of the mansion

The crew followed stress, until they have arrived in front of the big barricade.

"It's very unlike Grian to do this" Scar said

They busted the barricade open, to be welcomed by a thick mist of spores. There was a slow and faint music playing in the background. Loads of blood vines creeping up the walls of the hall. Mushrooms that crept up upon the structures.

"What happened here? "

Just as the crew decided to continue forward X had just arrived.

"Ok, I am here, what is the proble- oh."

"We think Grian might be somewhere there" Stress said with a worried tone

X and the crew finally walked inside of the mess of blood vines and mushrooms. They walked and walked, navigating their way through the creepy vines and finally stopped at the end of the hall, there was a gigantic figure of an Egg. Seemingly sprouting and blooming.

"What in the world" Stress said

"An alien egg thingy?" Mumbo added

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Grian appeared on one of the Egg's branches. The Jungle crew and Xisuma was relieved for a second. But he wasn't really himself. His red sweater is half white and his wings is at the same state. There were blood vines creeping across his wings and his face. His eyes weren't the usual deep black color, instead, it was cloudy grey.

"Hello, friends... family, pardon me. I didn't prepare anything for this sudden visit" Grian said whilst grinning creepily.

Etho also slowly came out from behind the egg. His face and arms covered in the blood vines. Etho didn't say anything, as if he was not in control. He is just a pawn, a robot.

"Please, friends, let's have the conversation" Grian said, posturing to the hermits so that they stepped closer to the egg.

"Uhhhhh, no thank you..." Iskall politely declines, which made Grian tilt his head a bit.

"Ermmm... Grian... What is this? " X started to question Grian

"Ah, ah, yes, I forgot to even introduce you all"

The crew looked at each other, confused and concerned. So many thoughts are crossing everybody's minds.

"This is... The Egg" Grian started off

"The egg? " Stress repeated what Grian said

"Yes! The egg"

"And... Where does this egg come from? " Mumbo asked whilst he slowly reached for his sword.

"Ah, it just appeared right here in my base" Grian answered causally, yet cautiously.

"What does it do? " Scar said whilst getting closer to a blood vine

"Oh... The egg does many things, many useful things"

"Like... What? " Iskall looked at Grian suspiciously

"It gives you... whatever your heart desires" Grian said whilst grinning and tilting his head slightly "

"Ok... So, we are going to uhh... Get you away from whatever this 'egg' thing is" Stress said whilst preparing a pickaxe

"We don't need to do that" Grian's tone changed, which caught the crew off guard

"Why not...join the egg instead? " Grian said whilst he flew down from one of the egg's branches, and landed right in front of the crew.

"No, no we need to get you out of here" Iskall was hesitant and followed mumbo's plan.

"But the vines are very cozy guys"

The crew instantly looked at scar, who has blood vines on his face too now. Though Scar didn't seem to notice it.

"SCAR, DON'T TOUCH IT" Stress tries to frantically get off scar's blood vines. Scar did not want to give up the blood vine, it feels warm and comforting.

"Come on guys... Look at the egg, it's calling for you" Grian leaned in against a blood vine.

"The egg needs sustenance" Grian's tone changed again

"Okay, guys we need to get out of here. Stress grab scar, don't touch the vines, take these ender pearls"

The hermits instantly pearled out of the hall

"Go get them Etho" Grian said in a cold and menacing tone.

Etho instantly teleported after the hermits, he took a target on Iskall and Mumbo.

A fierce fight happened, there was many close calls, many sword clashes, just unfortunately nobody was as quick or as precise in PvP as Etho. A sword was seen, firmly in the chest of Iskall.

Grian came out of the hallway.

"We can do this so much easier; you know? " He said

"What do you mean easier?! " Mumbo shouted from the battlefield

"You all can just be obedient and just follow the Egg"

"Who on their right mind will follow a stupid infectious egg!!?? " Stress also shouted from across the battlefield

"What has happened to you mate?!??"

"Now... Xisuma Void, would you care to join us or would you like to end up like the other members? " Grian questioned.

"I will never yield to this stupid egg, I know you are still there Grian, please... Come back, we know you can fight it! Etho! Come on dude"

"Words, useless words, as if it could fool me... again"

"ETHO NO-"
