Kate sat on the floor of her room, sighing and gnawing on a strand of her blonde hair absentmindedly as she played a video game, her eyes focused on the tv screen and her fingers instinctively pressing down on the buttons to make her character do as she wished. The soft sound of peaceful music flowed through her dark resting area as she took her character over into the market of the game, buying and trading certain items to gain whatever the type of currency was in the game. As much as she enjoyed playing games, however, this one was a distraction for her. For the real problems she faced. Particularly, the problem in her body. Even more specifically, the problem in her lower stomach area.

At least she had space to think about the problem, at least she had her own home to be in, all by herself unless someone like her sister came over to visit her. If she had taken up Hayden's offer to come live at the manor a couple of months or so ago, she was certain that she would be freaking out at the moment.

Sighing at her thoughts, the dame spat out the piece of hair in her mouth and scrunched up her lips and her face in a concentrated expression, scooting closer to the tv as she began to battle with another character, her thumbs frantically smushing the buttons on the controller, sending off loud, yet oddly satisfying clicks and snicks.

If anyone were to look inside her window at the moment, they would have seen a dark room with all of the lights turned off, with clothes and trash strewn about everywhere, since the dame was too preoccupied with trying not to have a mental breakdown ever since she discovered she was pregnant, and then a girl with an extremely concentrated look on her face, her gaze fixed upon the bright tv in front of her, too preoccupied with her battle to notice the green glitches that began to spread on her computer screen on her bed behind her.

"Hey, beautiful~" Came a slightly seductive purr from behind the female. She yelped and flinched, not because she was scared of the person not being someone she knew, but because she knew who it was...and he was the last person she wanted to see at the moment.

"Oh, woah, hey, calm down there, princess!" Ben yelped, startled at her reaction. He chuckled softly and sat down beside the female, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her figure closer to him. Kate huffed slightly, "O-Oh, uh, hey, Ben..." she muttered softly, her eyes traveling over to the corner of the room as she allowed the controller to drop to the ground.

The ghost furrowed his brows, noticing her odd actions and choosing not to comment on them. She normally was excited to see him...normally gave him a little kiss on the tip of his schnozz. "It's a train wreck in here" He commented, glancing around the room "You been busy?" 

"Eh...sorta." She muttered, trying to subtly scoot away from the male. But he noticed. Pulling her back closer to him, he frowned, grabbing her chin gently "Hey...what's wrong, Zelda?" He asked softly, tilting his head just a tad "You seem down or stressed, or something. You haven't been answering any of my texts or calls, you don't seem too excited to see me, you haven't been doing anything. Tell me all about it."

Kate shook her head, biting her lip slightly "I- I can't...you'd hate me. Probably leave me for it, too..."

Ben raised a brow "Is this something other than the positive test I found in the bathroom a week ago? Because if so, then I'm sure it can't be that bad."

The dame felt her face go pale. "You-...you-"

"Know? Yes, of course I know, sweetheart. Is that what this has been all about? I'm so sorry, I would have said something earlier, except I thought you left it out for me to purposefully find, since it was on top of the trash can." he said gently

Kate nodded, feeling her vision start to go blurry with sudden tears "I-I'm so s-sorry" She whimpered, pushing her head into the male's chest, her shoulders shaking with sobs "I s-should have b-been more ca-areful, I'm s-so sorry!"

Ben sighed, placing a hand on the female's back and rubbing it softly "Hey, it's okay, love. I should have known better than to go unprotected, so if anything, this is my fault...but, let's look on the bright side, shall we? I've always wondered what it'd be like to be a father."

"R-Really?" The dame sniffled, wiping her tears and sitting back up to look at him "You really w-want to be a father?"

"HECC YEAH!" Ben yelled, nodding his head swiftly and standing up, pulling her up with him. "Fathers are the best! They get free passes to give out all those cool dad jokes!!"

"But Hayden's probably gonna come after me and you in a flying rage, you know that, right? She made me promise to never 'frickle-frackle' with you, as she put it..."

"THEN WE'LL LIVE ON THE RUN!" He exclaimed happily, grabbing the girl's waist and throwing her up in the air slightly and twirling her around a few times, causing her to squeal and shriek with laughter. He eventually fell down onto the bed, laughing as he let Kate gently lie down on top of him. "I honestly don't care where we are. As long as I have you..." he trailed off, grabbing her hand in his larger one and trailing it down to her stomach, where he pressed it against the skin gently "And my child, I'll be happy."

The female laughed softly, gripping one of Ben's hands "Aww, that's sweet....but what do you think we should name it?"

"Hmm, that depends. If it's a boy, I want to name it Isaiah, but if it's a girl, I was thinking more along the lines of...Gywnevere."
