A few weeks after the war with Gaia, found Nico walking slowly towards the Poseidon cabin clutching a mythomagic statue in his hand. He knocked on the door answered by a soft "come in". Nico slammed the door open, surprising Percy who had never been the same since Tartarus, who was the only one of the seven still with that sad and weary look in his eyes, as if the battle was still going on. Nico sat next to Percy on the bed and put the statue of Poseidon that he had been holding in Percy's hand.

"Someone once told me it was okay to be a kid once in a while." Nico said softly. Percy stared at him before smirking slightly.

"He must have been very wise." Nico fought back the urge to smile, and instead replied with an innocent look on his face,

"Eh, he wasn't really my type." He stood up, and left the cabin and a very dumbfounded Percy behind him.

After Nico left, Percy stared at the miniature Poseidon for a long time. He realized that the Son of Hades was right. When was the last time he'd felt truly happy and carefree? Not since before Hera had taken his memories. After that, everything was just one battle after another, worrying was his constant companion. He stood up and walked out the door, breathing in a deep breath of fresh air. He had time to be a kid again, and he wasn't going to waste it.
