Mumbo's Perspective-

"Well...you could stay with me and my family."

"Oh no, I wouldn't want to- "

"But you don't have enough money to go to a hotel."

"That's true...but I wouldn't want to- "

"Don't worry. I think the only problem will be that my mom's really annoying whenever I bring friends over."

So that's how I ended up here.

With a guy I met two days ago on a plane.

And stayed with in a hotel room.

And I'm now going to his parent's home.

This feels like one of those Hallmark movies. I thought, walking into Grian's home.

"Grian, dear! I'm in the kitchen, come in! I want to meet your friend!" Grian's mother called.

Grian sighed and walked into the other room.

I looked around, following him. It was a cozy, two floored home.

As we walked through the living room to get to the kitchen, I saw a giant Christmas tree in the corner, tucked near a fireplace which was roaring with heat.

I saw some presents under the tree, along with a silver furred cat. I wanted to take a closer look but I had to follow Grian into the kitchen.

"Grian!"

Grian looked embarrassed as his mother hugged him.

"And you must be Grian's friend! It's been a while since Grian's brought a boy home. Ever since Scar lef- "

"Mom! It's nothing like that! And he doesn't know..." Grian trailed off before grabbing his suitcase and storming upstairs.

His mother sighed, "Must be grumpy from the trip."

I chuckled, "Well, we did have quite the adventure."

"So, since we're redoing the guest room, you'll have to stay in Grian's room. He has a pull out bed, you'll just have to make sure he doesn't step on you." She said, laughing.

I laughed awkwardly and she led me upstairs.

I walked into Grian's room and looked around.

He was in the restroom, so I was left to explore.

The first thing that I noticed as the giant rainbow flag hung up above Grian's bed.

There were also many pictures of Grian with another guy.

One of them showed them both wrapped around a rainbow flag.

They were both blushing, and the other guy was kiss-

"What are you doing?"

Mumbo jumped as Grian walked back in.

"I- your mom led me up here and said that I would be-"

Grian sighed, "Of course she did."

Grian walked over and tore the photo down.

"So you're..." Mumbo trailed off.

"Gay? Yeah. What's your point?" Grian snapped.

"I- "

"What, are you homophobic?"

"N-no! I- I'm- "

Grian scoffed, "I'm sure you are, I bet- "

"GRIAN I'M BI!"

Grian blinked.

"And...that guy who was in the picture with you...the one covered in scars...that's the guy your mother mentioned. Scar, right?"

Grian nodded.

"You guys...you guys were dating, right?"
