Grian's Perspective-

Grian walked up to the coffee shop and took a deep breath.

He walked in and looked around.

"Grian!"

Grian smiled and walked over to his friend.

"Hey Tim! Er- if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing here?"

"Uh- I'm here because you asked me to meet you here."

"What? No I didn't! I asked Mumb- "

Grian cut himself off as he checked his phone and saw that he accidentally sent a very important message to Jimmy.

"Oh." Grian said and Jimmy laughed.

"Here, sit down, I still wanna talk."

Grian sat down uncomfortably, knowing exactly what Jimmy was thinking about.

"So who's Mumbo?" Jimmy asked.

Grian blinked.

That was not what he was expecting.

"I- just a new friend. Why do you ask? I thought you were going to mention the text..."

"Oh, I didn't know if you wanted to get straight to that. We can if you- "

"NO."

Jimmy blinked.

"You have to a some point."

Grian sighed.

"I guess you're right."

Jimmy smiled.

"Alright, so Scar. You wanted to talk about him?"

Grian nodded.

"Are you still not over that break up?"

"I- ...yeah."

Jimmy's smile faded a bit.

"Grian...you know it was over- "

"I know!! I know it was forever ago, I know I should be over it, I know that!" Grian sighed shakily, "But I'm just... not."

"I don't know why I'm not. And the thing is, I think I may like another guy but I'm so scared that I'll be a burden or- or mess up like I did with Scar. Or maybe even get heartbroken again! And I do not want that."

"I don't think anyone does, Grian. But you gotta get yourself out there again. The only way to heal is to talk to Scar, and try dating that guy you like."

Grian nodded.

"How did you do it?" Grian then asked.

"Hm?"

"You and Tango. You ended up together after your terrible break up with Scott."

Jimmy nodded.

"Yeah, well that was years ago. And then like 5 years later I met Tango."

"But you were still heartbroken. You were still-"

"Well a good friend of mine told me that I should put myself out there and date a guy that I like."

Grian smiled, remembering that conversation.

"But...your breakup wasn't as bad as mine."

"True. But the feeling was the same."

Their coffee then arrived and they changed the subject to other things.

Eventually, they walked out and went their separate ways.

"And remember Grian, you'll never be a burden to anyone. I'm sure Scar just misspoke. You should talk to him."

Grian hesitated before shrugging.

Jimmy smiled, "Well, it's better than a no!"

Grian giggled and the waved goodbye to his friend.

He then opened up his backpack and took out his skates, tying them on.

He started to skate off and he smiled, feeling the wind through his hair.

"Oh, hey Gri!"

Grian almost tripped and fell twice that day, but this would've been more embarrassing as it was right outside of the grocery store.

The guy caught Grian just in time.

Grian opened his eyes and turned red from embarrassment as he saw Scar.
