I know this isn't sander sides necessarily but hey this is meant to be for the fandoms I'm in.

After Gonta's execution Kokichi was in his room and he deliberately messed the entire thing up in a fit of despair and rage, he blamed himself. And unfortunately I'm pretty sure this is true. The reasoning is that when monokuma was going to start the punishment Kokichi told Monica much to punish him ( kokichi) as well. And not to be mentioned that he was being antagonized heavily by kaito heavily, even though kokichi said that if he could do it himself he would've, kokichi had suspected that miu would've had a way to keep him from fighting back and k1-B0 confirmed that she had a way of paralyzing him so the only way kokichi would've survived is if he asked for someone's help, and that person was gonta. I also believe that after the trial during free time events that not even people saw in the game that kokichi wouldn't be his normal self... end it hurts me like hell

(A little update part for after Gonta's exicution)

Kokichi claimed he did never cry for Gonta, but in the moment I truly believed those were real tears and not fake once, I believe that cookie G is again hiding himself and more lies to try and hide the fact that he got someone killed, earlier in the trial before he reviewed the killer, he was trying to take The blame and also hide the fact that he ever saw the roof, I've been to try and protect Gonta, even though it meant he would be killed in the process along with everyone but Gonta. Unfortunately it is found out that Gonta is the killer because Kokichi finally had to come clean because people were pressuring him to and the detective piecing the story together, I truly believe that if those were really fake tears, then Kokichi wouldn't have been trying to protect go onto for the most part of the trial, only confessing who the real killer is after too much peer pressure and the demand for the raw truth which can hurt. Kokichi truly seemed to not want Gonta to die, and the fact that everyone hated him at that point, it probably hurt him a lot more, enough to the point that after Gonta died, kokichi managed to convince himself somehow that even Gonta hated him. Something important to know is that even as a liar you can be consumed in your own lies, and you will end up believing things that aren't true, it can happen to anyone no matter how good you are at lying. This is really why I believe that Kokichi quite possibly had a mental break down in his room after Gonta's execution, because he most likely saw Gonta as his only friend at the time, and he manage to get his only friend to hate him.
