POV Jack

Christmas. It was the time of the year when wonder is spreading around the world. The wonder created by children, who are imagining the most wonderful things. I am a guardian who’s job is to be the fun. Now is the winter season and I am doing final touches to give people the perfect winter wonderland for Christmas. Creating frost to twirl around the trees like icy flowers was my responsibility.

What would be better than waking up on Christmas morning to look at the shimmering frozen sight.  Well, maybe the presents but I am sure that every kid loves to try out their new sled out early in the morning. It could be hard without snow, am I right.

I knock a street lamp with the end of my staff and I watch how the frost sneaks on its surface up towards the light. I am smiling to the sight, admiring the beauty that winter holds. Oh how I have missed bringing winter to world, creating snow days and having fun with kids. The snow fights are the best.

I sure heard a speech from other guardians, how I should be more careful and avoid curses. Apparently last winter was a bit messed up since I wasn’t controlling the Winter Spirit. Now I am back together with the Winter Spirit, this time my memories are back. However thinking of the first week after the Winter Spirit joined with me again still gives me a headache. Just imagine years of memories rushing back to you, from two different lives that are combining. But I regret nothing, now I know who I am.

The wind takes me up in the air when I call it, I spread my arms and spin around. I am flying above Burgess, my old home town. I left it to last place which I visit this Christmas. I must give a ride to someone. Over two months ago I died, again. That was when the Winter Spirit joined with me again, using the part that was in Elsa and untouched by the curse. It purified me, lifted the curse away and the whole Winter Spirit could come back to me.

I land to my old homes yard and I throw a snowball near a bedroom window which is upstairs. It slams to wall. I see how the window opens and Emma smiles to me. Elsa and I decided that it would be the best to tell everyone that I died. That is how we explained our missing from Emma’s wedding, by Elsa taking me to hospital where my life ended. There was even a funeral arranged but soon I learned that Emma believed in me, she saw me in my own funeral. She almost arranged me a new funeral when she realized that we let her believe that I died. Well, technically I died but came back as the Winter Spirit.

“Hey! Ready to visit Arendelle?” I yelled and she hushed me. “What? Only the kids that believe in me can see and hear me! And you!” I laughed and Emma rolled her eyes. She jumped down and I caught her. She ruffled my hair and gave me a sly smirk, “So how is the mourning widow?” My cheeks blushed.

I cleared my throat, “Elsa is fine. How are mum and dad?” I let Emma stand on her feet. “They are alright considering the fact that they buried their son. Again. Well, they knew that it would happen so they are slowly moving on,” Emma smiled faintly.

“Fly away Spirit!” Emma jumped to my lap and I gasped when she wrapped arms around my neck. “I am not a horse, Ems,” I glared at her. “Well, blame yourself for not being there as a big brother! I really would have wanted to pretend that you’re my pony.. Dad got back problems, you know,” Emma laughed. “Haha,” I rolled my eyes and I jumped up. Emma started to scream.

I grunted, “Emma. My ears are ringing.” She started to laugh, “Sorry! My first time flying you know!” She smiled and spread her arms. “You might want to hold on to something, I will fly faster now,” I grinned to her and her eyes widened. Her arms went around my neck quickly.

Soon we were in Arendelle and I took Emma inside from Elsa’s bedroom window. “Elsa!” Emma squealed and run to hug Elsa. Elsa responded to Emma’s hug and I walked closer. “So, how did you explain that you’re not at Burgess in Christmas morning?” Elsa smiled to Emma. “Well, Rob is working and my parents I told that I have work today. Piece of cake!” Emma laughed.

I rolled my eyes to Elsa while I smiled. I turned around when the door open up, Anna came in holding her toddler, Leo. “Here you go Jack,” Anna handed me her son and I grinned to Leo. I created a snow bunny hopping around which amused Leo a lot. Anna believed in me like her son, well.. Anna had to be convinced to believe in me since she didn’t swallow the fact of me being dead before seeing the body. And seeing the body is a bit difficult when the body has been taken over by spirit.

We went downstairs where the fireplace was already lit. I handed Leo to Kristoff who also had started to believe in Jack Frost. After I froze his bath water and wrote to bathroom mirror ‘Believe in me already you stubborn iceman’. At first he jumped up from the bath and run to Anna screaming stuff about ghosts. At that point Anna had attempted to get Kristoff to believe in me for a while. Well, after that he did.

I put my staff to lean against the wall when I sat next to Elsa. We all were sitting there in a circle, chatting. Kristoff gave a kiss to Anna’s cheek and I noticed that it made Elsa blush slightly. Emma raised her eyebrow and she looked at me and Elsa in a funny way. “So, why are you two looking so distant?” Emma leaned her chin to her hand.

Elsa and I gave each other a quick look. In fact we had just been sitting there, without any sign of physical contact. I ruffled my hair, “Well. I guess that it needs some fixing!” I laughed and I wrapped my arms around Elsa. I lifted her to sit in my lap. “How’s that?” I winked my eye to Emma who was staring at us. Elsa was really red at this point and I kissed her cheek which felt warm. Then I gave a whisper to her ear.

POV Elsa

Jack is holding me tight, almost like he wouldn’t want to let go of me ever. At first I felt like I should break free but I soon abandoned that thought. Anna smiled when she was looking at us, “You two are cute!” Then Emma whispered something to Anna’s ear. Anna nodded and gave out a devious grin.

Anna cleared her throat and Kristoff glanced at her. Leo was playing with a soft ball that he got for Christmas. “Emma and I dare you to do some super cute pose! Now!” Anna giggled and raised her eyebrow. My heart started beating fast.

Suddenly I felt how Jack quickly and gently rubbed my stomach. He leaned close to me and whispered, “Could we tell them already?” I gave a quick look towards Anna, Emma and Kristoff. They didn’t hear Jack’s words. “Well,” Emma stared at us.

Jack kissed my cheek and I blushed. “Fine but how?” I whispered. “Give us a second to work out a battle plan to melt your hearts!” Jack said while chuckling. Everyone turned around. “How about a heart?” Jack whispered again. “What? How?” I said as quiet as I could. “Like this,” Jack raised his hands in front of my stomach like a lower side of a heart. I concentrated and did the upper side of the heart with my hearts. “Perfect,” Jack whispered and nipped my ear. “Stop it!” I gasped and pushed him further away.

Jack was laughing when Anna, Kristoff and Emma turned around to look at us. After my sudden reaction to Jack’s abnormal behavior, which was quite normal when you take in the fact that it is him who we are talking about. “The pose?” Anna was whining.

Jack’s arms wrapped around me again and I saw his hands in front of me. I felt him laughing silently behind of me, I gulped when I did my part of the heart. I saw the confused look on Anna, Emma and Kristoff. Then Jack did his side of the heart. I gasped when I saw snowflakes floating in the middle of the heart, I glance over my shoulder and I see Jack smiling happily, his eyes closed.

I hear loud exhaling and gasping for air. “A-are. A-are y-you?” Anna is staring at me and my cheeks blush. Emma was still a bit puzzled looking but then her jaw dropped. “A BABY?” Emma screamed and jumped up, she was jumping and dancing while she went around the room. I  look back at Jack and he is now also staring at them, our sisters. I see how Jack’s mouth opens up slightly from surprise.

“Congratulations Jack, if you need advices when it comes to changing diapers, I am here for you,” Kristoff laughs and picks up Leo who seems sleepy already. Anna and Emma were now approaching fast. Jack wrapped his other arm around me and lifted his other arm in front of us. “Stop!” Jack yelled and I now realized that he tried to protect me with his body.

“How sweet! Big brother is protecting his unborn child,” Emma laughed and now approached in much more slower manner. Jack lowered his hand slowly and kept glaring at Emma and Anna. Emma hugged us first and then Anna. “This is so great news!” Emma squealed.

Jack groaned, “We didn’t even manage to tell about the baby.” Emma smiled, “Nope but we had been waiting for it forever and lost hope when you became a spirit again.” Jack sighed and I took his hand into mine. “So, how long are you?” Anna sat next to us and stared my stomach in awe. I covered my stomach by pulling my legs close to my body. “W-well, it is about three months now.”

I saw how Anna’s eyes widened and she stared at me. “And you don’t have much of a bump yet? Show it!” She pressed my legs down and then she touched my belly. “Phew.. you have a tummy, you’re just good at covering it with your shirt,” Anna laughed and I smiled shyly.

“So! We need to plan babyshower! And mum and dad will be so happy to have a grandchild!” Emma giggled and took a hold of Anna’s hands. “This sure went out of control,” Jack whispered quickly to my ear and I nodded.

I heard how Kristoff cleared his throat next to us. I saw how he placed his hand on Jack’s shoulder. “Come with me Jack, let’s leave the girls to fangirl over a baby,” Kristoff smirked to Jack who glanced at me. “Elsa will be alright, she is a girl,” Kristoff laughed. “Mmmh… May I?” Jack smiled to me. I nodded and stood up to let him go.

My heart wished to be with Jack when I saw him leaving the room. Now I was at the mercy of two baby feverish girls. “I am still so excited! I wonder if it is a girl or a boy! Does it look more like you or Jack!” Anna was walking around the room and being excited. I laughed nervously to her behavior. “I know the best doctors when it comes to giving birth!” Emma squeezed my hands and I gulped. Giving birth, that idea never came to my mind.

I was so tired when I finally got back to my bedroom. I just jumped to bed and layed there for at least an hour.

WHOOSH.

I heard the wind coming inside from the window and I sat on the bed. I saw Jack landing to floor and looking around him. Then he saw me and smiled. He walked towards me and closed the window with his wind. He flew the rest of the steps and hovered in the air until he landed to sit on the bed. He gently brushed my cheek with his hand.

“How is my Moon tonight?” He kissed my forehead. He had just come back from taking Emma home to Burgess. “I am fine, just a little tired,” I shrug my shoulders. Jack gave me a sly smirk, “I thought that girly stuff is light?”

I sighed, “Yeah but it was overwhelming how much information they gave me about children, babies.. and.. and..” I struggled with my words. Jack lifted my chin up with his fingers, “And?” He smiled to me. “Child birth,” I gasped. Jack’s eyes widened, “Oh..” He messed up his hair and was blushing, “W-well.. I think that everything will be fine and you will be a excellent mother.”

I quickly jumped to his neck and gave him a hug. I felt his arm going around my back and rubbing it. “Thank you,” I whispered. Jack laughed and lifted me up. It was easy for him to get me lay down on bed, wind would be for his aid always.

“You should sleep and rest now,” Jack said while he covered me with sheets. I felt my heart aching. “Please don’t go out tonight, stay with me,” I begged from him. During winter season he was away a lot. Jack smiled and lifted the bed sheet. He crawled next to me, “Now I am here.”

I snuggled against his soft blue hoodie and smelled his scent which was cool and fresh like winter mornings. I squeezed him tightly against me and he gasped, “Hey take it easy!” Jack laughed. “S-sorry.. I am just happy that you found me Frosty,” I whispered. “O-oh.. but I told you that I will always find you? That cabin was easy to find actually if I would have think about it before acting,” Jack said.

I shook my head, “No Jack. I mean when you found me that night.” I squeezed him tighter. “You mean when you were searching me and fell under ice?” He sounded surprised. “No, I mean when both of our lives changed. When you saved me, when I was a child,” tear runs on my cheek. How can I be this selfish, his life was misery after that, he lost his life, his memory and family because of me.

Jack  was now squeezing me against him. “Thank you Elsa for telling me that, I am happy about it too,” he whispered. I gasped, “How can you be happy when you lost everything!” He smiled to me and wiped  away my tears. “I can since I got something so important to my life,” he looked me into my eyes.

Now Jack held his hand on my chest, “I got your heart that is worth more than any gold. I have love in my life.” Then he touched my stomach, “I will be a father which I believed that would never happen. You gave me so much Elsa.” Jack had tears in his eyes now, “Without me saving you I would have died eventually. Then I would not have experienced love or had the joy of becoming as father. It would have been almost like I never existed. Now my family even met the love of my life, you.”

Jack is panting and I am looking him into his eyes. We stay quiet for a moment. “Say something, Elsa.. Please,” Jack whispers. I am laughing from joy suddenly, these mood swings are killing me. Jack has a confused look. “S-sorry Jack, pregnancy gives me odd feelings. It just came in my mind that we are cold couple but instead of being cold to each other we feel love,” I smile to Jack who chuckles.

My expression turns more serious when I look at him. “Even though your human heart was failing on you, you have the strongest heart. In fact you’re the Heart of Winter. You’re my heart Jack. I am the Winter and you’re the Winter’s Heart. Together we are strong,” I said while smiling. He is blushing and grinning, “As you say.” He winks his eye and causes me to blush.

I groaned, “Enough with the word play. Come here Frosty!” I laugh and pull him closer from his hoodie’s collar. I give him a long passionate kiss and I feel how he smiles. He is shivering as we kiss and his hand is inside my hair, gently rubbing my head. “I love you, Elsa,” Jack smiled to me after our kiss. “I will love you always, Jack,” I poke his nose with my front finger and he laughs his deep vibrant laughter which caused my heart to flicker.
