POV Elsa

“Please Anna, this is a bad idea,” I said to my sister while I stared at my sister’s son straight into eyes. Leo looked curious while his eyes scanned me. Few months old baby left to my responsibility. Some drool was dripping from Leo’s mouth. “Anna!” I exhaled while I held baby Leo from under his arm pits, as far away from me as possible.

Anna giggled while she backed up to the door, “You will be just fine! In the bag is spare diapers, feeding equipment and other necessary stuff!” She pointed at the bag and when I turned my head to that direction I heard the door closing. She tricked me.

“So.. baby.. what now,” I looked at Leo who’s eyes were slowly closing. He seemed tired. ”Elsa,” I heard a whisper from behind of my back, it was Jack. “He seems to be in need of a rest, tuck him into bed,” Jack touched my shoulder. “I know what I am doing, I am just fine!” I snapped to Jack. He chuckled, “If you say so. I will be near.” His hand lifted off from my shoulder and soon I heard the sound of him continuing his carving work. He tried so hard to finish our pillar bed to our wedding night. Something being ours sounds actually alright.

I had a baby crib transferred to my bedroom. Gently I placed baby Leo to sleep and tucked him under a blanket. So far so good, I sighed on my mind. I walked to Jack who was still carving some designs to pillars, it reminded me of frost and snowflakes. “Beautiful,” I whispered to his ear when my arms wrapped around his neck. He startled which made me chuckle, “Did I surprise you?” His left hand reached to behind of my head, guiding it towards him when he turned his head. I closed my eyes to ready myself to his kiss. “Mmm… You always surprise me,” he whispered immediately after our kiss ended. It made my cheeks blush, his deep whisper always makes my heart flicker.

Jack nodded towards the pillar bed, “I better continue or it will never be finished!” I petted his cheek and his hand went over mine, holding it still against his cheek. “I am serious,” he smiled and cocked his eyebrow. I looked him to his eyes while my smile was wide. I spread his arms away and I pushed him down to lay on floor. “E-Elsa?” He whispered and sounded confused. ”Hush Jack,” I told him and I pressed my head against his chest. “W-what are you doing?” He exhaled and his arm rested on my back.

“Checking that you’re alive still, your heart’s beat is all I could wish to hear for the rest of my life. It is better than any music.. and now it started to beat faster,” I smile to him and I see his cheeks getting redder. My body is moving up and down when he breathes. He tried to get away from under me but I didn’t let him, “Hey.. This isn’t appropriate,” he whispered and his eyes wandered around the room. “Having some mischievous thoughts?”  I smirked to him and for a slight moment his face looked like a fire truck but then he chuckled, his face returning to his normal shade. “Who, me?” He smiled to me.

I startled when I heard baby crying. ”He woke up!” I gasped and ran to the crib, Leo was crying his eyes out. Jack walked next to me, keeping his hands inside of his hoodie’s pockets. “Need any help?” He cocked his eyebrow when he glanced at me. I frowned and shook my head. “No, I will handle it! Now where is the manual?” I searched my table and I saw how Jack’s jaw dropped. ”Manual?” He said sarcastically. I ignored him. He chuckled and went back to carving, glancing at me in amused way.

“Hush Leo,” I told to my sister’s baby. It didn’t work. “Ah, here it is!” I sighed in relief when I found the book about babies from my desk. “Instructions! Where are the instructions! Aha!” I pointed at the page. ”Main reasons why baby might cry 1. hungry 2. sleepy 3. sick 4. dirty diaper,” I lifted my eyes from the books page. “Please don’t be number four,” I whispered and Jack started to laugh. “Shut up Frosty!” I snapped and I started to panic, Leo was turning red.

I took the baby to my lap, his lip was quivering and for a moment I thought that he stopped. Just when I sighed from relief he started to cry again. I did many prayers when I checked his pants. Clean. Oh thank you, thank you!

I took Leo’s temperature as the book told me to do. Don’t want to get into detail with that one. He seemed to be just fine. He wasn’t hungry and he just had slept. Crying wouldn’t stop. I tried to sway him but it didn’t help. Some maids were already peeking inside from the door, ”Everything alright you majesty?” My maid politely asked and I waved her to go away. Why did I end up in this situation? I let myself fall to my chair when I had paced around the room multiple times, trying to calm down the nearly hyperventilating baby.

When I almost started to cry with Leo I felt a warm hand over my shoulder, “May I ?” Jack smiled to me and wiped a tear from my cheek. I was stunned and couldn’t say anything before he gently placed his hands around Leo’s waist, his hands were so big that tiny Leo was surrounded from his sides. “Hello Kiddo,” Jack chuckled and smiled to Leo while he lifted him into air.

Jack laughed and spin around, holding Leo up. “Be careful,” I exhaled and Jack smirked to me, winking his eye. “This kid here is just bored to death! Right kiddo?” Jack cocked his eyebrow to Leo who had stopped crying, he was looking keenly at Jack’s face. Jack sat down to ground and placed Leo to lay on his back on Jack’s legs.

Leo grab Jack’s front finger when Jack offered it, Jack laughed warmly and my heart fluttered when I watched him. Then Jack furrowed his eyebrows and jerked his head to right, he had that playful look on him. Then I felt surprised when he did a children’s rhyme.

Jack was pointing his front finger on different places of Leo’s body.

“Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,”

Then his hand stopped to Leo’s feet and he gently pinched his toe.

“Catch a tiger by the toe.”

He smirked to Leo while his eyes shined from joy.

“If he hollers, let him go,”

Jack let go of Leo’s toe and after that he repeated the first part of the rhyme.

“Eeny, meeny, miny, moe”

He finished it by taking a hold of Leo’s hand and blowing on it while looking at Leo smiling. Leo was responding to his smile. His tiny hands reached onto Jacks face and squeezed his cheeks. I saw wrinkles around Jack’s eyes, those that you see on people who are happy and smile so wide.

My heart was almost pounding out from my chest and I don’t know why. There was something sweet when I watched them playing together. Leo had stopped crying. “Y-you like kids?” I whispered to Jack and my cheeks warmed. At first Jack looked me in curious way then he smiled. ”You bet! Right, kiddo?” Jack laughed and winked his eye to Leo. I sighed, ”You would want kids?”

Jack’s eyes widened and he shook his head. “No.. I mean, yeah but if you don’t that is fine to me since I won’t be there for you both,” he swallowed and I saw how painful it must be for him. I kneeled next to him and I embraced him. I felt how Leo pulled me from my hair it made me and Jack laugh. Then Jack smiled to me, “Don’t get me wrong Elsa but I really just like kids, they’re fun being around. I mean that I took care of Emma a lot when she was small.” I felt little embarrassed now. I continued to watch how Jack fooled around with Leo, took care of him and he even taught me how to feed a baby and change diapers. Sometimes I wonder how he can be this perfect and loving even though he is reckless at some points? Jack managed to help me control my emotions now also, even though he wasn’t the Spirit of Winter anymore he could help me, maybe not by suppressing my powers but his presence calms me down always.  

After couple of hours Anna came to get Leo back to her. “So, how did you manage with Leo?” Anna smiled to me while we watched Leo who was sleeping on Jack’s stomach. Jack was also sleeping, laying on the floor. I sighed, “Honestly without Jack I would have screwed up everything.” Anna grinned, “Oh yeah?” We both looked at the sleeping pair and we chuckled.

Then Anna looked more serious, her hand went to my shoulder. “But for real Elsa, look at them!” She pointed at Jack and Leo who were still sleeping while we were having our conversation. “Don’t say to me that you will take it away from him?” Anna smiled sadly. I felt confused now, “Take what away?”

Anna shrugged her shoulders and pouted, ”Him being a dad . You know?” My eyes widened and I looked at Jack. His hand was resting on Leo’s back and he had a smiling expression. “B-but,” I whispered. “You would love it too! Just imagine a little Elsa or-,” Anna started but I finished her, ”-or little Jack.” Suddenly I felt warm inside while I watched at those two sleeping.

Anna squealed and Jack startled awake, even Leo blinked his eyes open. “Now you see! The instinct awakens!” Anna took a hold of my hands and giggled, I smiled nervously. What on earth is she mumbling about. “W-what instinct?” Jack sounded still a bit sleepy. ”Nothing,” Anna said happily while she almost floated in the air towards Jack and Leo, picking Leo in her lap and kissing his forehead. That is how happy she was right now.

“What was that?” Jack stared at me when Anna had left the room. My cheeks blushed, “I have no idea.” Jack stood up and rubbed his back, “Ouch, sleeping on the floor isn’t the best idea.” He smirked to me and I laughed shyly. My smile faded for a second when he took the medicine jar from his pocket and ate couple pills. Then he glanced to me, like he noticed me staring. “Hey, I feel fine. I just need to take these in certain moments of day,” he chuckled and opened his arms. I almost jumped to hug him. The smell of saw dust filled my nose when I buried my face into his chest, resting my head on his hoodie.

POV Narration

After their babysitting task Jack and Elsa had been busy with wedding planning and Jack had to proof himself worthy for being a king. His health condition was quickly known all across the Kingdom of Arendelle. Some took pity on him, some for Elsa since there was said to be no cure.

Doctor’s traveled from all over the world to see the future king, to examine him and try to cure him. They were the best ones but Jack quickly had enough. His memories of the time he spent in hospitals rushed into his mind fast when he was treated like a lab rat. For Elsa him giving up felt excruciating but she honored his will. They tried to enjoy every moment they spent together, Jack  found fun from even the darkest things.

Wedding planning was exhausting Jack but he never complained, he stood there by Elsa’s side while they chose their wedding cake. A 10 tiered cake with shade of light blue, decorated with whirls and snowflakes. There were whirls because Elsa thinks Jack as the refreshing wind. The snowflakes since for Jack Elsa is the beauty of winter that snowflake resembles to him. Even the cake testing was joyful event, they tasted the most delicious tastes but also quite weird ones. Jack’s facial expression made Elsa giggle when Jack tasted liquorice cake filling, for Jack it tasted bad but in some places of the world liquorice is delicious. Their choice was none other than red velvet cake filled with vanilla crème and chocolate filling.

Choosing flowers was maybe the easiest task, “White roses.” Jack said immediately when they stepped inside the flower boutique, he stood tall and straight while holding his hands behind of his back and lifting his chin up. He knew it being the perfect choice. Elsa was then scanning him with her gaze, feeling awe by his certainty and his smirk that always made her heart flutter. They really chose the white roses for Elsa’s bouquet and some blue forget-me-not flowers to give more depth into it. For Jack’s boutonniere there will be the same flowers, one white rose and the blue ones.

One thing that Jack couldn’t take part was the lookout for Elsa’s dressing. Jack however figured out that she might be doing her dress by herself, the thought made him blush always since he really enjoyed seeing her in ice dress that glimmered when light hit on it. It was like time had been turned into fastforward since it was quickly running towards the day of their wedding. The planning of the wedding and taking care of the royal duties took a toll from the time they had. Jack had to learn the royal manners and be accepted as the future ruler, to rule beside his wife-to-be Elsa.

The Spring time had now reached May and there was barely over two weeks left before their wedding day. Invitations had been sent to different kingdoms and also some of the people of Arendelle were invited. Special invitations were also dispatched to family of Overland and to Guardians. Now there were only minor details to deal with before the great day when two hearts would become as one for all eternity, supporting each other through toughest times.

POV Jack

Elsa had been acting weird around me for a week. Sometimes I woke up while she was placing some sort of measure on my body. This morning was no different when I felt how she stuffed the measure under my back and then pulled it in front of me. I held my breath when I watched down, her focused look when she measured my waist. Then she moved the measure up, towards my chest. My heart was pounding fast when I felt her touch sliding across my chest, on top of my night t-shirt.

“I hope that you’re not measuring me for odd purposes?” I chuckled and saw how she startled. “Or checking if I gain a few pounds after eating some of our wedding cake on our wedding day?” I smirked to her and then I cocked my eyebrow, wishing that she would tell me what is the deal here.

Elsa cleared her throat while she was blushing hard. “W-well, I need those for your suit,” she whispered and seemed frightened while looking at me. “A suit?” I gasped. I really don’t like formal clothing. Elsa was nervously rubbing her hands together, lifting her shoulders up. I sighed, “What is it now?”

She whimpered, “Well it is actually more like a uniform that royals wear in official occasions.” I stared at her in misbelieve. “And I need to wear it?” I gasped and she nodded. I guess that it can’t be helped.

“Ah.. Just get the tailor here and I will try it on,” I smiled to Elsa who seemed happy now. Oh.. what have I gotten myself now.

A couple of hours later Elsa came in with the tailor. I stared at the pouch that the tailor was carrying, there must be the cursed suit, I mean uniform.  I was now opening my pants when I felt Elsa’s stare on my back, my face turned red and I turned around to see her. “M-mind if I change alone?” I said nervously while smiling. ”S-sure,” she whispered while turning around and the tailor rolled his eyes to me.

When I was almost completely undressed the tailor opened the bag that held the uniform. It was royal looking to me. Quickly I dressed myself on it. The collar of it almost covered my whole neck. “Now you can look,” I frowned while I was still buttoning up the last two buttons on the top of the uniform.

“Hey!” She said happily. ”I see that measuring you wasn’t a waste of time!” Elsa smiled and I nodded to her. Actually it fitted me perfectly. The shoulder pads I wasn’t so sure of however. “It is cool,” I whispered to Elsa.

Just two more weeks left until our wedding. I hope that everything will work fine. When the tailor left with my uniform that I kindly promised to wear only on our special day Elsa ran to kiss me. For a good reason I have tried to keep some distance between me and her. I mean each day I spent with her makes me want to kiss her more, love her more and trying to hold myself together until our first night as a couple is killing me.  I adore everything in her and just marrying her would make any type of wedding perfect.

Here you go My Snow Storm!

There is the baby who is called “Leonard” which is shortened to ”Leo”, he is Anna’s and Kristoff’s son. Jack seems like a father type? Elsa however is clueless *facepalm*
