Start

Well, needless to say Izuku didn't get very much sleep considering the missing kid wasn't missing anymore.

One of the students finally figured out after a few hours, that someone should probably tell the police.

So, Izuku was hauled to the police station to give an account of what happened.

Surprisingly though Izuku didn't mind it, in fact, he smiled the whole time, and thanked them for caring so much.

"Midoriya for the hundredth time, would you please tell us exactly what happened" The investigator sounded annoyed.

"I already told you," he smiled brightly, "The villains didn't do anything, they took me and returned me!"

"Midoriya! Make this easy for us!" He sounded really pissed now, "I have a truth detecting quirk, I can see when you lie" he spat.

Midoriya looked at him confused, "but that's what happened"

The detective sighed heavily, "Fine, did you give away any important information about UA or yourself?"

"Nope."

That was true.

"Did you happen to catch a glance of their location?"

"Nope."

Also true.

"Do you have any significant information that would help further advance this investigation?"

Izuku thought for a moment, "they have plans."

The detective looked excited, "And?"

"I don't know, they didn't tell me" he smiled apologetically.

"You're not being very helpful Midoriya." He sighed in annoyance.

"May I leave?" Izuku asked politely.

The Investigator narrowed his eyes at Izuku before waving his hand, indicating that he could go.

"Thank you very much sir." He bowed.

"Yeah, yeah." It was frustrating. No leads, no anything.

Izuku didn't come to school the next day. Aizawa let him rest for awhile so he could be ready to start classes again.

Izuku's plans had to wait a day.

But today, today was the day.

The day has come.

Izuku took his secret present from Shigaraki and tucked it into his pocket.

Izuku smiled and laughed a little.

It was easy to smile when you knew you weren't going to suffer anymore.

He decided to get to class extra early and see what the plans for the day were.

When he saw no one there he walked to Aizawa's desk and flipped through some pages to look for lesson plans.

Separate one on one battles for training today.

Izuku tingled with excitement.

Whoshouldbefirst?

"Midoryia?" a dead voice asked.

Izuku stiffened a little then turned towards the doorway to see his teacher.

"Oh, Mr. Aizawa! I'm sorry, I just wanted to check the lesson plans to see if I would be up for them!"

"Why wouldn't you be?"

"Oh you know, I've been extra tired lately!"

But you rested all day yesterday.

"Don't touch my desk.  Go back to your seat." He growled.

"Yes sir!" Izuku said as he marched to his seat and sat down.

After a little bit of waiting, students started coming in for class.

Izuku couldn't wait for heroics class to start.

And once it did he could barley contain his excitement.

"Alright, go change into your costumes, and pick a partner to battle with." Aizawa told the class.

Izuku rushed to the locker room and slipped his costume on.

He took the item Shigaraki had given him and transferred it to a pocket on his red belt.

"So Midoriya who are you gonna battle first?" Kirishima asked cheerily.

"I haven't decided yet" he responded. There was another meaning in those words that Kirishima just couldn't figure out.

"Yeah, I'm taking on Bakugo!"

"Yes, Kacchan is very, very strong." Again, Kirishima couldn't decipher the hidden meaning in his words.

"Yeah... I'm gonna go catch up with him if that's alright with you."

"That's Fine!"

"Thanks dude, good luck with your battle"

Thank you.

"See ya!" Kirishima called as he ran up to Bakugo.

Once Kirishima caught up to Bakugo he threw his arm around him.

"Hey man!"

"Get your damn arm off of me." He growled.

"Come on, we're friends aren't we?"

"Tch-"

"Have you noticed... anything strange with Midoriya?" Kirishima asked unexpectedly.

"Stupid Deku is always strange."

"No he's not, I mean for real this time."

"He hasn't cried." Bakugo said out of nowhere.

"What?"

"Stupid nerd hasn't cried are you deaf?"

"No- I mean- explain it."

"You'd think a huge crybaby like him would have cried already. He cried about getting first place in the sports festival, but not about being reunited with his stupid friends? Doesn't make any fucking sense."

"Now that you say that..."

"The Deku I know would have cried like a little baby already. But who gives a fuck anyway? Let's just start this training I'm ready to destroy things."

"We should probably try and keep an eye on Midoriya don't you think?"

"Do whatever the hell you want."

At the training grounds Izuku tried to think of someone he wanted to train with first.

"Wanna battle me?" Uraraka interrupted his thoughts.

Izuku took a moment to think.

Yes, yes.  She'll be my first opponent.

"Of course, Uraraka!"

"Great why don't w-"

"We should train over there, behind that building" Izuku cut her off and pointed.

"I mean, I guess, bu-"

"Great lets go!" He grabbed Uraraka's hand and started to drag her.

Under normal circumstances, Uraraka would have blushed as Izuku held her hand.  But these weren't normal circumstances.

Uraraka noticed how he pulled her forcefully, not the force of her normally gentle friend.

Once they made it to the spot Uraraka pointed out the obvious, "Deku, Mr. Aizawa won't be able to see us from here and give us feedback on our technique."

"That's okay!"

"Oh, uh... yeah."

"Are you ready to start?" He asked cheerfully.

"I-I- Yeah, okay."

"Relax Uraraka, you seem really tense!"

I have a reason to feel tense, you're scaring the shit out of me.  I'll just have to keep my guard up.

Uraraka got in a battle stance and looked at her friend, "Ready."

Izuku nodded and activated full cowling. He began by trying to leave her line of sight by sprinting around her. But Uraraka just kept her battle stance and followed him with her eyes. Her gaze was focused and intense.

Izuku huffed in annoyance and tried to attack head on with shoot style, but he quickly had to dodge Uraraka's hand as she reached for him.

Izuku landed somewhat close to her and tried to swipe her legs so she would fall over. She only jumped out of the way and kept her eyes focused on him.

"Damn this is harder then I thought." He growled.

"What did you say?" She questioned.

"Nothing, just thinking!" He said to reassure her.

Izuku hadn't touched the object in his belt yet.  He had to wait for the right moment.

He needed to be clever.

I'll tire her out.

Izuku lunged at her and started a barrage of attacks that she had to avoid.

She was getting tired quickly.

After what he assumed to be long enough, Izuku jumped back and bent down to catch his breath.

"We should take a break don't you think Uraraka?" He huffed.

"Yeah" she huffed back.

Uraraka sat on the ground and folded her legs together.

"I'll get some water, yeah?"

"Water would be great, thanks Deku." She smiled at him.

Things were starting to feel normal.

Once Izuku walked out of her line of sight he slowly crept behind her back. Inching as closely as possible.

Izuku took off his gloves and felt around in his pocket.

He held the object in his hands.

Its cold blade gave him goosebumps and sent shivers down his spine.  He placed his grip around the smooth handle and held the knife firmly in place.

"Uraraka..."

"Deku, back so fas-"

He pressed the knife up against her throat.
