"i want you to check every employee's computers and pc's and run through every single of them to find out who might be the hacker, or a potential second-hand," jungkook order his secretary jinah, who nodded without arguing or questioning.
jungkook had vaguely explained to her what happened without naming any names and context, simply mentioned that for some reason all messages he sent to his family in seoul didn't go through and vice versa.
taehyung was sitting by jungkook's desk, as he watched jinah leave and waved to her as she smiled to him. when the door closed, he looked to his boyfriend. "i'm a huge fan of you in a suite."
jungkook released a light sigh, before chuckling softly by taehyung's comment. "enjoying this, aren't we?"
taehyung simply laughed, feeling so much more at ease after all this drama was over. well, as long as the reason why this happened still lies open in the air, there's no chance at 100% relaxation, but it all didn't matter as long as jungkook and him were fine.
that's the most important thing.
jungkook seemed so much in thought though and taehyung noticed, tilting his head a little to the side. "you're thinking a lot."
"i'm trying to figure out what happened." it did bother jungkook that someone had access to his phone, but it bothered him even more that his whole friends and family were hacked too. after this whole chaos, they also established that namjoon, seokjin and jimin never received jungkook's messages.
as if the lines were all cut.
and deep inside it enraged jungkook that whoever tried to harm him, included his family in it.
"i'm trying to figure out the motive of the hacker." well, he already did. either this person just really wanted to harm him and drain him out of his whole energy, or... it was a person not being fond of his relationship with taehyung.
there's one person that comes to his mind.
"do you remember byeol from your year?"
taehyung's face dropped almost in an instant hearing that name. of course he does. "you mean your bride?" he mocked and jungkook just grimaced by that, making taehyung chuckle. "i don't really like her after all that happened, even if she might not be at fault of it all, which i hardly believe. i never liked her." taehyung still bitterly remembers the day he saw her in jeongguk's office and how she called him "ggukie". he also thought it could be her, since she was also the one on the invitation.
jungkook knew what taehyung was thinking. "she and i have no connection, she's not even an employee here. jinah is her older sister, so byeol always thinks she can come and go however she wants. i didn't mind at all, because it didn't bother me if jinah wanted her younger sister here."
taehyung still eyes him suspiciously. "she called you ggukie. that's my nickname."
the older smiled. "it is yours. she thinks since we were at the same school she can address me casually."
"oh you mean, since she believes she is going to marry you, she can address you casually?" taehyung mocked further and jungkook shoot him a playful glare.
"even if it was her, there has to be someone who helped her." it was mean to say this, but jeongguk believes that she's not capable of hacking phones and blocking entire connections. hence why he told jinah to look through everyone's computers. if byeol really was the one who did all of this, there is no way her peanut brain did this by herself. unless, she is a secret masterbrain.
taehyung eyed jungkook worriedly. "you're stressing yourself too much about it. come here."
taehyung ushered him to himself to give him a soft hug. jeongguk relaxed, closing his eyes by the warm feeling. "you need to relax, bun. everything is fine. we have each other."
jeongguk softly nuzzled his nose against taehyung's neck. "i love you," he whispered.
a soft blush marked taehyung's cheeks as he whispered those three words back, never having been so happy to be able to do that.
"yoongi told me that as a ceo i might also have lots of enemies, so if someone simple like byeol could get you involved, i'm scared someone else could," jeongguk explained another worry and taehyung understood why he thought those things.
"then let's promise, that whatever happens, if anything happens unexpectedly, seems suspicious or would mean a huge change, we always talk about it. just as a precaution, we should also always try to get into contact no matter what when our messages don't seem to come through," taehyung said and jungkook nodded, agreeing.
"i ordered new phones and sim cards for all of us—
"woah, what?" taehyung cut of from the hug in sudden surprise. sometimes he forgets his boyfriend inherited a whole publishing company.
"well, our sim cards are as it seems blocked our something and someone had access to our numbers. it would only be safe to change them," jeongguk reasoned, to which taehyung nodded.
"you're rich now, i always forget that," he spoke out loud, because he never keeps his thoughts to himself when jeongguk is there. he doesn't have to.
"i am only rich, because i have you back." the ravenette grinned by taehyung's dark blush.
"and you have 7 zeros in your bank account."
jeongguk chuckled by taehyung's unserious response. "i wonder what jimin is thinking about me. everyone must hate me." he stated in realization, thinking about how jimin, hoseok, namjoon and seokjin probably have all seen the invitation on taehyung's phone. and have all witnessed how taehyung's heart broke.
taehyung offered jeongguk a guilty tight lip smile. "it would be a lie to say they don't.
be glad that your connection to jimin broke, because he left you voice mails with not so friendly contents."
a small laugh left jungkook. "i'd still would want to hear them. bet they would make an awesome disstrack."
a laugh erupted from taehyung, being so thankful that everything is back to how it should be. "oh, you can definitely make more than one diss track out of those voice mails."
"how calming of you to say that," jeongguk sounded a little bit more hurt now and taehyung felt the guilt arise within him. in effect of the situation he had made jeongguk a bad person in everyones eyes, when he in reality hadn't done anything wrong.
"i'm really sorry, like me and like you, no one knew what was going on. we will just explain everything to them and it will be fine."
another thought crossed jeongguk's mind. "where are you staying right now?"
"chim and me are staying in a hotel," he simply shrugged.
jeongguk nodded. "i haven't sighed the contract for my parents house yet."
for taehyung, it's still a little weird to hear jeongguk refer to someone as his parents. it was a real surprise that they had left every little bit of their assets to the son they had ditched when he was still a little kid. but they did, and it rotated jeongguk's and his life upside down.
part of their assets was their house, of course. jeongguk can either sign the contract and claim it as his own, or leave the contract and put the house out for sale.
but it's beautiful, a dream come true for everyone who loves old complex artistic architecture. like taehyung for example. it's big, but not huge, still a cozy family house. what's huge, is the garden.
"don't you want to sign the contract?" he asked genuinely curious.
"well..." jeongguk chewed on his lip, "i don't need a whole house for myself, but i thought that if someone were to move in with me, i could make use of it."
the indication to what he was really thinking was loud. taehyung felt his heart speed up in an instance. "you're not thinking what i think you're thinking, right?"
"i know.. i know you don't want to leave seoul and i'm not asking you to move with me together here in busan now, but wouldn't it be kind of.. beautiful? for later, or for now. we could have our own house together, we could arrange it however we want. you can work in the firm as a certified author and you wouldn't have to search for other publishers every time. you also wouldn't have to do a part time job anymore. and... most importantly we would see each other everyday.." jeongguk reasoned and taehyung stared at him with wide eyes and gaped lips.
taehyung wasn't keen of leaving seoul and moving with jeongguk when he made the suggestion two years ago. he had everything there, college, friends and family, but now, his only family that was left in the country was here in busan. was jeongguk. taehyung quit in the third semester of college, focusing on his writing, so college isn't holding him back either. and concerning his friends, he would miss them, but he is 21 now, has his drivers license and knows he still could see his friends whenever he wanted to.
there would be nothing stopping him from taking the next step towards future.
his eyes crinkled as he became a little emotional by the thought of moving together with jeongguk, this time forever and with their own house. "i'd love to move in with you."
jeongguk's eyes widened. "for real?!"
taehyung nodded eagerly and the raven haired hugged him tightly, happiness radiating everywhere. "you make me the happiest man alive, taehyung."
the brunet giggled, as he hugged jeongguk back tightly. "and you make me even happier."
