Jungkook didn't make Hoseok wait for long since his tail was under the older's foot. The brunette glared at his manager as he slid in his car earning an innocent grin in return.
"So where are we going again?"
The older looked at the other with a soft smile and replied.
"Just to an average restaurant to eat average dinner like average people."
The brunette realized the focus on average was because of what happened earlier that day. Too bad, the younger was already over it but his manager seemed to be holding onto the last strings of hope which the brunette couldn't decide if be should cut them now or later.
Sooner might be better.
"You don't have to apologize for today this way. I'm fine with eating in my room."
Hoseok's foot hit the break out of reflex as he started choking on his spit. Jungkook, however, seemed uninterested and stayed quiet. When the older got a hold of himself he looked at his boss with utmost disappointment and shock.
"You- are you kidding me? You think I'm doing this to apologize?"
The brunette shrugged nonchalantly and his manager felt the extreme urge to knock his head on the window. He couldn't believe how dense and arrogant the younger was. It was beyond understanding how one person could be that self-centered. But here they were.
The pinkette scoffed before driving again and going to the location he had set in mind already.
"You need to learn a lesson, boy. And I can't wait to see the day when someone irons your pride straight."
The brunette rolled his eyes at his manager and sunk in his seat out of boredom waiting for the whole ordeal to be over with soon so that he could reconcile with his bed.
Not long after, the two males were seated at a small restaurant with a few people around including the waiters. Jungkook looked around judging everything hard until his partner cleared his throat to get his attention.
"What do you want to eat?"
The younger looked at his manager as if he was joking.
"You can't expect me to actually dine here. Look around at what they are serving. This lowly stuff is way beneath my standards. Just by sitting here, I'm doing these people a huge favor."
The older didn't falter one bit even though he felt his blood boil at those words as he kept his gaze fixed on the younger before gritting out.
"You keep your judgmental ass thoughts inside your peanut brain before I make sure you don't walk out of here on your legs."
The brunette gulped as he stared back and tried to read his manager's face. There was no way he would use violence on him. Especially not in public.
"You can't do that. I'm not a normal person. You'll be thrown in jail for trying to hurt me."
The older kept his stern stance to intimidate the younger as he smirked.
"Oh I'm sure it'll be worth it. In fact, after they find out who I beat, I can guarantee they'll award me a medal for doing what should have been done way back. What do you say, should we try it?"
Jungkook gulped again and raised his hand for the waiter before he had to hear more. Suddenly the air smelled delicious and his appetite increased two folds.
"Are you ready to order, sir?"
The brunette randomly pointed at a meat dish and said.
"Yes. I'll have this, whatever it is. Make it quick."
The waiter noted the order and looked at the older male.
"What about you, sir?"
Hoseok hummed as he skimmed through the menu and decided on a Chinese dish.
"Right, sir. It will take around twenty five minutes."
The older male nodded while Jungkook just looked around while jerking his leg repeatedly. When the waiter left, Hoseok stared at the younger for a while before he brought out his phone and placed it on the table in front of him, sighing and addressed the younger.
"Jungkook?"
The brunette looked at him with raised eyebrows while biting his lower lip and hummed as if he wasn't thinking of a way to run away from there just now.
"We need to talk. About you."
The brunette signed and rolled his eyes as soon as the last word registered in his mind. He was about to get another lecture which he could care less about so he was ready to tune out the older.
"Sure."
Hoseok knew he had already lost him there but he wasn't going to back down. He needed to give a piece of his mind to the younger because he was in great need for it.
"I'm not going to tell you to treat others with respect and all that because I know you were born with a defect of being unable to do that. I'll just get to the point. You need to start acting professionally. Not because it's right but because that's the only way for you to stay in this field."
The brunette was already glaring at him for the insulting start but when he heard the last part, his eyes squinted at the older.
"What do you mean?"
The pink haired male sighed as he picked his phone and swiped on it before showing it to his boss. The younger took the object and scanned the screen while the older spoke again.
"We are losing contracts. What you are seeing are the stats just of this month. Many others have been cancelled before and I'm expecting BigHit to say the same after what happened today."
Jungkook clenched his jaw as he returned the device and stared at his manager.
"So what? Am I supposed to start kissing their asses now? If they don't want me around then fuck them. I'll go abroad. These suckers can work with shits like Taehyung for all I care. I will be even a bigger hit in other countries."
The younger huffed as he looked around trying to keep his anger in control while his manager tried his best to keep the conversation on topic instead of becoming a rant.
"First of all, Taehyung is more popular than you are. Secondly, you won't be able to go out because many people are thinking about filing a case against you. They want you in for a long time."
The brunette's eyes flared up and slammed his hand on the table earning the attention of every other person present around them.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"
The older didn't bother to apologize for him this time as he stayed still and spoke.
"This is exactly the reason why. You can't stay normal for more than five minutes and just because you know that I'll clean up the mess after you, you don't even bother to look back at what you did. Let's see now what happens when I don't clean up after you, shall we?"
A waiter came to their table before Jungkook could reply to Hoseok and asked.
"Is everything alright, sir?"
The brunette looked at him like he was talking to a two headed frog and scoffed.
"Yeah, peachy. Now get lost."
The waiter looked over at Hoseok to find him pinching his nose bridge and looked back at the brunette.
"Sir, please sit down and be civilised or else I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
The younger turned towards the waiter with a scoff but before he could sing out the curses welling up on the tip of his tongue, his manager spoke up.
"His boyfriend just broke up with him. Please try to understand."
Jungkook's head whipped faster than a bullet at the older with jaw reaching six feet beneath this feet. The waiter made an 'o' with his mouth before eyeing Jungkook one more time and left him after a pat on his shoulder. When he left, the older found the brunette sweating profusely.
"What's the matter, Jungkook? Can't handle one thing by yourself?"
The younger felt his hands fisting the table cloth with no intention of stopping until he would rip it at the casualness of the older.
"If this thing breaks out, Hoseok, I swear ill-"
"You'll what? Fire me? Beat me? *scoff* I don't think you will do any of that because you know well that I'm the only one who can clean this up for you. Now, sit down."
The brunette grit his teeth as his breathing became hard and shallow. The environment was suffocating him now and he wanted to leave. Of course, he could just storm out of there and no one could say anything about it but the way his manager was staring at him with a smirk on his face, Jungkook could tell he was in a bind now.
But pride comes first.
"Fuck you, you fuck boy."
With that he took one step out of his chair and turned to leave.
"Sit. The. Fuck. Down. Jeon."
Or maybe not. The foot backtracked and the body turned back as his butt touched the seat face slowly. The younger's face held no emotions but it could still be easily read by the older that he was scared.
"I wanted to be a kind brother to you tonight but I guess you need a strict father figure."
The older stopped while keeping the gaze fixed on the younger sitting in front of him when the waiter came and placed their food in front of them. Hoseok thanked him and raised an eyebrow at the brunette who also thanked the waiter in a mumble after getting the signal.
"Dig in."
With that, the older started munching down his meal while the younger stared at him wondering how on earth was this bright man able to pull off the scariest moods so sinisterly. It gave him chills as he slowly began eating as well.
The silence reigned over them for a few minutes before Hoseok spoke up again.
"Have you ever been abused, Jungkook?"
The brunette choked on the water he just took a sip of and barely managed to keep himself from dying.
"What the fuck? No! Haven't you seen how built I am? I would kill anyone who even tried to touch me."
The older nodded without lifting his head and continued.
"Have you ever been bullied or witnessed it happening to someone else?"
The younger blinked at the question before giving him a dirty look since Hoseok wasn't looking at him.
"No and no."
The older nodded again and asked the third question.
"Have you ever fallen in love, Jungkook?"
The younger stopped his hand mid air that was about to feed his own mouth and stared at his manager before bursting into a fit of laughter. After a few seconds of amusement he straightened up and became stoic again before answering.
"That was funny but no. I don't care about such bullshit."
The older nodded once again before placing his knife and fork down as he looked up and cleaned his mouth with the napkin before folding his hands in front of his face.
"Who was Jimin, then?"
The older smirked as he saw how the younger froze at the name and knew that it would become interesting soon. For Jungkook, however, it was going to be a long night.
"Let's be clear. I'm not gay. I never was."
The pink haired male leaned forward and his smirk widened.
"I never said Jimin was a guy."
