The sorting ceremony is a very crucial and important part of going to Hogwarts. It's everything and your only sorted into one house one time during your first year. Unless your late to the school or transfer in a later year than your sorted then. Otherwise you're sorted on your first day at 9pm or so in front of the entirety of the school. Hundreds of children watching as you step onto the main floor and up the steps to the stool and sit to be sorted. They watched as the hat is placed upon your head and your house is called out loud by the hat. That hat is older than you'd think and is rather smart at that, knowing exactly where to put you. What house you will do best in and provide the best of things and have the biggest opportunity for you.
No one not once had claimed they were sorted into the wrong house not ever. Not until the day I arrived did I claim the moment the hat shouted it. Did I claim I was sorted wrongly and knew how disappointed and angry my parents would be. Let me backtrack just a little bit before I get too ahead of myself and overly angry at that.

We arrived at Hogwarts by boat and when we got on those very boats it was amazing. The sight of the castle was extraordinary and well overall magical. I was in awe along with everyone else in the boat which included my friends. Theo, blaze and of course Draco it was only four to a boat according to hagrid the half giant that was basically helper at Hogwarts. When we arrived to the boating dock we were greeted by Professor McGonagall who sent out everyone's letters of acceptance on their eleventh birthdays. We entered the castle and stopped outside two big wooden doors that would be the first time we'd enter but not the last. We would be sorted once we talked through those large wooden doors for the first and last time.
I stopped at the entrance and turned when I heard Draco's voice, I looked and saw he was talking to the Harry Potter. I walked over with a graceful step and stood beside Draco and Harry in a weird way to hear the interaction.
"So it's true then, what they say in the train" Draco started
"Harry Potter had come to Hogwarts" he added
I looked at him with a smirk and looked Harry up and down he was an adorable little boy. Weird looking but in an odd and adorable way so to speak. He then introduced himself causing the red headed Weasley to hold in a laugh. Which didn't please Draco what so ever.
"Think my name funny do you, no need to ask yours red hair and a hand me down robe you must be a Weasley" Draco scoffed
I rolled my eyes and ignored the rest until the professor came back to explain the four houses. Which landed me in my next situation and anger or hurt for the feeling of what was to come when I got home.
"Hermione granger" McGonagall called out
I heard this muggle born whispering to herself oddly as she approached, she was placed in Gryffindor along with Ronald Weasley and the Harry Potter. Draco, blaze and Theo all sorted into Slytherin which was to be expected as they were from a family of Slytherin.
"Trinity Hawthorne" the professor called
I approached the stood with confidence and sat down with a smirk on my face thinking I was going to be in ravenclaw.
"Hmm brave yes, loyal but definitely not a hufflepuff, Gryffindor would be good with your intelligence and more, you'd do good in ravenclaw but where to put you, cunning and ambitious traits as well mhmm let it be SLYTHERIN" the hat shouted
I froze as the whole room spun around me I didn't want to get angry. I don't know why I got so angry about it but I began to feel my power surge.
"No" I shouted with anger and fear
Everyone turned and look in my direction as Draco rushed up to grab me to try and clam me. If I had a freak out then people would be in danger.
"The hats wrong it has to be" I gritted out
"Trinity it's not wrong it's never wrong" Draco said softly
"Draco you and I both know I can't be in Slytherin absolutely not" I whispered
"Miss Hawthorne please take your seat" McGonagall stated with a stern look
I huffed out a breath in anger as Draco and Theo bother dragged me safely towards their table. The Slytherin table and as hungry as I was I didn't eat or touch a single piece of food.
"You need to eat jellybean" Draco said
"Do you know what my parents are going to do to me when they find out? Their daughter in Slytherin far from acceptable" I hissed
Draco didn't say a word just gulped knowing exactly what was going to happen when I arrived home for the first break. When dinner ended and we got lead to our common room by one of the prefects that I didn't mind getting their name. I was still lost in throught and my anger but when I got inside I was honestly amazed. The green and blacks with silver here and there was astonishing but part of me ached for the satisfaction of pleasing my parents. Knowing they were going to be livid with me made me fear things that night. I was directed just as Draco to a separate dormitory of our very own ours happened to be closer to each other. It was a request from my parents that I must have my own dorm shared with absolutely no one.
Not that I cared if I had roommates or not, but company would have been nice. Making friends was slightly harder for me than others yet i didn't know how or what I was going to do. About my parents being disappointed In me for being sorted into Slytherin. I knew the letters would arrive the moment I didn't send one to them. I had after all promised to send one and if Draco sent one to his mother she would definitely tell my mother if he mentioned I was in Slytherin.
