Warnings - none

On trinitys tenth birthday she had the first moment of reading someone's thoughts. They were at a party for someone and to celebrate her as well. But trinity didn't really enjoy her birthday as much as other children would. Of course she got presents from her father but they were only apology gifts for the harm he'd done while drunk. In public Finnegan was and outstanding father, husband and man all around. Well that's how he wanted people to see him, as the better and responsible or respectful man. That he was far from ever being and his family deep down knew the truth while outsiders did not. Trinity stuck to Draco's side because he promised to protect her forever especially at Hogwarts.

Theo and blaze were also within their small group yet they weren't always together of course. Of course that's how it always would be expected and Draco knew deep down something was far different about Trinity than others thought. He knew things about Trinity that others didn't like how she had been able to use more power than others. Trinity talked to Draco about nearly everything as if he were her closest friend. But he wasn't her relay closest friend was dead and it was her fault that happened when she was nine. A year ago exactly today because Trinity had done the unthinkable but it was only by accident. Truly the nine year old meant no harm to her closest and only girl friend. The only girl willing to get closer to her while they lived a few blocks apart.

Ashely was her name, Ashely Harrison was a pureblood witch with exceptional abilities. She was however a couple years older than Trinity while Trinity was nine Ashely was eleven. And that's when Ashely died, it was a mistake yet it haunts Trinity every moment of her life of course it would. So when she accidentally murdered her best friend she became different she put effort into things others didn't think she would. It gave her traits that were that of a ravenclaw and that's what they thought she'd be sorted into. She was strong minded, stubborn, sarcastic, intelligent at best. She knew every potion she should know and more, she knew charms well and far more than others would for her age. When she turned ten she was more specifically into all that stuff and putting on a fake smile every second of the day.

Yet Draco knew, Draco knew everything all the time because she told him. She expressed everything to the boy and they would share stories or things. Insider things, things that go on around their homes that others don't know about or won't know about. They put their trust into one another and it even more so when things went south for Trinity.

Diagonally
Trinity's POV

Me and Draco got our letters of acceptance into Hogwarts school for witchcraft and wizardry. Just as our parents had but today we had to get our supplies for school which included our pet of choice as well. We needed the right books, quills and parchment paper, a wand of our own. I've been practicing magic without a wand and with one as well with Agatha my stupid teacher. She was in the family for some time she was quite old actually and oddly still alive. Took my bullshit with bride though, and she swears just as Draco that I'll be in Slytherin. I surly hope I won't because father nor mother would be proud or happy about it. They want me in Gryffindor or ravenclaw but I'm far from a hufflepuff that's for sure according to everyone I know.

Today on our trip to the alley I had to go with Narcissa and Draco because mother nor father could join. The Hawthorne family was quite dark as others would put it and rightfully so might I add. They don't use the name because in the wizarding world after the war things as his name wasn't supposed to be spoken. Voldemort was a bad dark wizard that had once attended Hogwarts himself as a man named Tom riddle. A half blood who has things against muggles when his mother was one herself. He's a straight decedent of Salazar Slytherin himself through a few generations of course. While my parents despised the Slytherin house they still sided with the darker side of things.

It made no sense to anyone especially the insiders when they had the dark mark themselves. Which would lead for me and Draco to get it ourselves follow in their footsteps like archer had to. Well archer didn't get the mark when he turned sixteen, he was left alone for some reason. Maybe because after that incident he wasn't the same and acted differently more well less himself. And that was my fault just like it was my fault for Ashely's death that her parents don't think I did. Everyone said it was something else that killed her, something in the forest that surrounded our neighborhood. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Draco tapping my shoulder with a hit of excitement and worry.

"Your in your head again" he said softly for only me to hear

"It's that time of the year dray" I said softly then paused

"Two years ago today and she would have been thirteen going into her third year as a ravenclaw" I finished with a sigh

"Don't think about it jellybean, you can't put that upon yourself remember" he said

"Why do you seem so excited?" I asked

"Didn't you hear me?" He asked

"Not really what is it?" I asked

"Harry Potter is in the wizarding world again, apparently he's going to Hogwarts along with us" Draco said

"Really as in the Harry potter?" I asked shocked

"Yes who else would I be on about" he said causing me to scoff and roll my eyes

"Your going to regret rolling you eyes at someone one of these days" he said

"Children it's time to get your wands" Narcissa said

"Coming Cissy" I said pulling Draco along
