Chapter Three: Misunderstood Confessions
Hours had passed since they were stuck in that room, hours since Spock had seen how he felt. But could the Vulcan see how he truly felt? The crew seemed to be more on edge, Kirk just guessed that he was just putting out that vibe. The silence was unbearable, the thoughts rushed back in his head, but this time, they didn't want to cut, they wanted to die. Kirk stared through the glass window in front of him, holding onto the chair's armrests hoping the thoughts would just go away, but they wouldn't.
Suddenly, a door opened from behind him, "May I speak with the captain?" Spock's voice was loud and demanding, Kirk shakily stood from the chair and stumbled over to Spock, who lead him further into the hallway until he knew the others couldn't hear them. Staring at Spock now had a different effect despite the one from the room, he felt scared.. Spock sighed deeply, looking down at a hand written note, "Why did you write this?" Spock asks, showing him a love note, he read it, because it couldn't be the one he wrote, because he swore he hid it-
He didn't have to read through it though, that hand writing was clearly his. "L-Look Spock let me explain... I never hated you. I always loved you, but you always acted like you never had emotions so I was just pretending to hate you..." Kirk explained, reaching for his hand, but Spock pulled it away quickly. "I would only like you as a friend, don't get that confused. I'm sorry, Captain, but I cannot share your feelings of affection." And with that, Spock had turned his back to Kirk, dropping the note in the process. Even though Spock couldn't he hear the paper fall, he knew it did, Kirk's whimpers were quite distinct.
