You woke up the next day and looked at your phone. You had a good morning message from your Prince Charming. From Light.
You had gone to sleep thinking about how to kiss. You had never kissed anyone, but you wanted to learn just in case you and Light kissed. Yesterday you had a date with him. You two talked for hours and he held your hand.
You didn't like physical contact, but maybe you didn't like it due to how much you craved it. And you never realized it.
After getting ready, you mentally prepared yourself to talk to L again.
Last night L stayed working with the Kira Task Force. Light was there as well, but L told you to go to your room in his usual monotone voice. However, as soon as Light got home, he called you and told you about the Kira findings. It was him telling you about Kira and L's findings. Not the other way around.
Then you and Light talked about school. Well. It was mostly him talking. He was a freshman in college and had a lot going on. How can such a busy young man have the time to be a murderer? Plus how would he murder a lot of people at the same time? He's not Kira.
You didn't hear from L last night but if you were to see him again, he would talk to you. You knew L didn't want you to talk to Light if he wasn't around, yet you left the apartment to go on a date with Light.
You would just tell L that you didn't think Light was Kira. No need to stress about it.
You walked to the kitchen and saw Watari instead.
"Silence, I am afraid that you will have to pack your stuff and come with me," Watari spoke.
"Where are we going?" You asked confused.
"Back to Wammy's. L won't be needing of your assistance anymore."
You felt sad. Like crying. Did L want you to leave because you left the apartment complex with Light? You didn't care about L but you started to develop feelings for Light. Plus he was your first and only friend. You wanted to keep seeing him.
"Can I talk to L before I leave?" You asked. Maybe you could change his mind. Promise him you wouldn't disobey him anymore.
"I am afraid that L is very busy at the moment. Do you need help with packing your bags?" Watari asked.
You shook your head and walked back to your room looking down. You were upset, you didn't want to stop seeing Light.
Back to Wammy's. Back to unnecessary exams, unnecessary deaths, and unnecessary suicides.

L observed as you stood in line in the cafeteria waiting to get your lunch tray. You seemed to have moved on from the morning's event, and were now living your normal life as a Wammy's student.
L had been using Light's cell phone to message you throughout the day. He hit send to the text message he had carefully composed to you. Analyzing whether it was something Light would say or not. Afraid that you would notice that it was in fact him texting you and not Light.
L looked up at you. You were smiling looking at your phone. Your approval of the message.
Now that Light Yagami was out of the picture, at least temporarily, L would have to focus on you. Find out what could make you smile like that but when it pertained to him. When it pertained to L.
You grabbed your lunch tray and scanned the cafeteria looking for an empty table to sit in. You didn't want to sit with the other students . Everyone at Wammy's was so weird.
Sitting alone was something that usually bothered you but not today. Today you wouldn't be alone. You would be texting Light and his messages would keep you company. You had told Light what happened in the morning. Well a half truth.
You had messaged Light about having to end your visit soon and go back home. He seemed very upset as he wanted to keep seeing you. He liked you. He had never felt this way before for anyone.
Then Light stopped replying for like 3 hours. After that time, his messages sounded weird. Like scripted. But maybe you were overthinking things.
Your eyes then landed on someone. A ghost from the past and by past you meant a ghost from the apartment complex.
A pale man with a white tee, lose jeans, messy black hair, and black eye bags.
What was L doing here?! Your eyes broke eye contact with his and you walked away from his direction. In fact, to the other side of the cafeteria. You didn't want to be anywhere near him.
You sat down on a table. The students sitting on the table next to yours covered your view of a disturbing L. You hoped those same students covered his view of you.
You then saw L stand up and began to walk towards you.
"He's not walking to me. Please god, have him turn around," you begged to a higher power. You didn't want to talk to him. He was too weird.
L sat in front of you.
"What are you doing here?" You began.
"Please keep your voice low, Silence. I don't want anyone to see us together. It will arise suspicion that I am L," L spoke in a low voice. Keeping precaution. Didn't want the other students to know he was L.
But you didn't say anything. Instead your focused was on hiding your iPhone. It was prohibited for Wammy's students to have phones or any electronic devices. Failure to follow this rule led to confiscation of the device and a negative label in your personal file.
L watched you forced a fake smile and discretely hide your iPhone. He pretended he did not notice the electronic device, but he already knew about it. He had been observing you for a while after all. His attention was on your fake smile. He couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with him.
Why didn't you smile at him? A true smile, not a fake smile.
"I wanted to talk to you about Light."
You began to feel nervous. Was L going to scream at you?
"What information did you gather about him?" L's voice was as monotone as always.
"Not much," you said truthfully for once in days. Light-kun never mentioned anything suspicious that could implement the suspicion of him being Kira. "He's not Kira."
Your eyes met with L's dark eyes. His dark eye bags looking as prominent as always.
"Why didn't you want to help me with the case?" L asked. His stare burning you.
"What?" You couldn't quite hear him. The people in the cafeteria were talking too loud.
He got up and sat closer to you. His face was inches from yours.
"Why didn't you want to help me with the case?"
"Why do you say that?" You were shock at his bluntness.
"You made it very clear, Silence. Your lack of cooperation." His voice was as calm as always and you looked away trying not to smile or laugh. Of course it was obvious. That was the hint you were throwing at him.
"Sorry," L heard you reply. However, he could see a smile plastered all over your face, even though you were looking at another direction.
That's all you said, an apology you didn't mean. You didn't insist on continuing to work with him, like he had imagined. To him, your "sorry" was just a slap on the face. He chose the wrong person to help him with the case.
Him being incorrect with choosing who would help him in the investigation was something that he struggled to come to terms with.
He should have chosen Near or Mello. Mello had gone as far as threatening to run away from Wammy's and join a criminal organization if his hard work and high grades went unseen by L.
But this wasn't about grades. This was about who could get close to Light without being suspected of being sent by L.
And that was you. But you had other plans.
You rather be at Wammy's messaging Light in private than to be with L talking to Light while being monitored. You wanted to be romantically involved with Light. L knew that.
"I understand. Not everyone is fit to work with me," L said walking away. The phone you had been hiding came back to his memories.
L didn't like to be wrong or lose. And he lost you the second you didn't beg him to let you rejoin the Kira investigation. Now he had a twisted plan.
He took out the phone he had taken from Light Yagami 3 hours ago, when he arrested him.
L then sent another message to you, pretending to be Light.
He discretely looked back at you with the corner of his eye.
You weren't even looking at L. Your eyes lightening up and a smile forming on your lips as you read the message you had received from your Prince Charming and only NORMAL friend. The message you thought you received from Light-kun.
L was going to wipe that smile off your face.
