Nine
It was the day of the festival and the students were all up their feet.
Bangtan High was open for the day for students from other schools who wished to witness the event.
Every year, the school would conduct a festival such as this to show the students' creativity and to also advertise the school. It's a good strategy to increase the number of enrollees and to cater what the school has to offer.
"Where's Taehyung?" Seojoon asked as he looked around the classroom.
"Still not here." Hyungsik answered which made the other groan.
"Don't tell me he's ditching us." Seojoon uttered in worry.
"I asked his friends and they said he will come. Let's wait for a bit more." Hyungsik responded with the same distress in his voice.
Seojoon could only nod before leaving to attend the short meeting intended for the president of each class.
"I'll leave everything under your supervision, dude." Seojoon said, tapping Hyungsik by the shoulder.
The other nodded as he went back to help his classmates in finishing the preparations.
It took another 15 minutes of waiting in anxiety when Taehyung finally showed up.
"Taehyung!" Hyungsik called as soon as the ravenette entered the classroom which was now turned into a mini café.
"What happened to you? We said to be here before six." There was a hint of frustration in Hyungsik's voice, but Taehyung just ignored it.
"Sorry. I forgot to set the alarm and overslept." He simply answered which made the other sigh in defeat.
"Hurry and change. Customers will be coming any moment." Hyungsik instructed before looking at the others who were in charge of the costumes.
"Help Taehyung change!" He shouted, catching the attention of the busy students who were quick to follow.
Taehyung could only sigh as he cooperated with his classmates who were a bit too eager to help him change.
All the while, he had been killing and cursing his friends in his mind as they grinned at him, enjoying every bit of his misery.
Taehyung lifted his left hand and proudly flashed a bad finger to his friends who ended up laughing like lunatics.

"Have you heard? They said Class 3-C's cosplay café is a hit."
"Really? Since we're done here, let's have a look."
Jungkook trailed his eyes at the students who quickly ran out of the hall.
He had been hearing a lot of talks about Taehyung's class's booth since afternoon, and he's becoming even more curious.
"Hey." Hoseok interrupted his musings.
"What's up?" Jungkook responded as he glanced back to the finishing touches he was making to the props that would be used at the end of the play.
"Aren't you done yet? I'm so tired waiting for you." Hoseok complained.
"I didn't tell you to wait for me, though." Jungkook responded which made the other grin.
"Burn." Hoseok whistled playfully before scooting next to him on the floor.
"No need to perfect those shits. Let's go. I want to see what's happening to our booth." Hoseok continued to persuade him.
"I'll be done in 5 minutes, okay? Go and play with Yoongi or something." Jungkook suggested, earning a laugh from the other.
"Damn. Don't expose me." Hoseok uttered, grinning from ear to ear.
"Just go and let me focus here, so I could finish." Jungkook almost pushed Hoseok away.
"Okay..okay. Calm your tits." The latter said and chuckled as he stood.
"I'll go and watch the practice for the meantime. Hurry the hell up, okay?" He added to which Jungkook just nodded.
The blond went back to finish the task assigned to him. True to his words, after a good five minutes, he was already done and ready to go.
Jungkook found Hoseok enjoying his time while watching the final practice of the play which will commence at five in the afternoon.
It was the highlight of the festival that would more or less run for two hours. The practice and preparations were no joke. Good thing, the tickets were all sold out which was enough consolation for all the people who worked hard and prepared for the final event to be a success.
"Hey, let's go." Jungkook called Hoseok's attention.
The other immediately stood, still with his usual happy smile.
"Fucking finally!" Hoseok uttered, draping his hand over Jungkook shoulders and almost dragging him towards the exit.
"Let's hurry and sneak out before someone sees us." He whispered, making the blond snicker.
"We've done our part. They should let us fucking breathe and enjoy." Jungkook said as the two of them walked towards their classroom building.
The festive atmosphere was evident with every part of the school full of students who were enjoying the stalls lined up starting near the school gate, on the field, and even near the buildings.
The merry sound blasting in the speakers complimented the smiles and cheers coming from the obviously satisfied students from different schools.
"There are a lot of beauties this year." Hoseok commented as he scanned the crowd.
"Go ahead and ogle. I'll definitely tell that to Yoongi." Jungkook responded which earned a nervous laugh from the other.
"I'm just stating what I'm seeing. Besides, you're not even friends with him." Hoseok rebutted.
"I'll tell Taehyung, then." Jungkook argued.
"Oohh.. interesting." Hoseok murmured which Jungkook did not quite understand.
They were able to reach their classroom with an unexpected volume of students as well.
"Wow.. never thought many would actually get scammed by our photo booth." Hoseok commented, making Jungkook scoff.
"Tell me about it." He uttered.
He didn't pay much attention to their booth as his eyes instantly landed on the long line of students in waiting on the other room.
As he approached, he heard the girls whispering and giggling.
"He's so handsome."
"This school has a lot of handsome men. I'm definitely transferring."
He glanced a little and saw the girls in line looking at him.
Okay?
Jungkook just gave them a small smile which instantly melted their hearts.
"Omg! He smiled at me!"
He heard one girl say, but he couldn't care anymore as his eyes were already fixated in a particular ravenette who looked so good while serving orders to the customers.
His costume certainly fitted him in all ways.
"Oohh.. a prince.. I see." Hoseok appeared next to him like a mushroom.
"That explains why the girls are going gaga over there." He added.
Jungkook could only agree. Taehyung looked so good wearing a prince costume that seemed to be perfectly meant for him to wear.
The blue color of the top partnered with white pants and white cape, and those embroidery that gave an impression of royalty only highlighted his handsomely beautiful face.
"If he's a prince, does that make you a princess?" Hoseok teased.
The blond scoffed before looking at Hoseok with a playful smile.
"Who said a prince is only meant for a princess?" Jungkook started as he grinned.
"Ever heard of a prince being taken by a king?" He added meaningfully which earned a heartily laugh from Hoseok.
"Damn, the confidence." Hoseok could only snicker.
The blond smiled and winked before turning his attention back to Taehyung who was now looking his way.
Their eyes met for a long while, and Jungkook could not help but smile even more at the ravenette who had his forehead on a knot.
Jungkook's smile widened when Taehyung began walking towards his direction.
"Get your prince, lover boy." Hoseok whispered as he turned his back at the two to let them be in their own bubble.
"Don't you dare laugh." Taehyung uttered as soon as he stopped by the opened window where Jungkook was having his best view.
"I'm not laughing, Tae. This is the kind of face I make when I see something so beautiful." Jungkook responded which earned a glare from the other.
"You really are laughing at me." Taehyung said as the crease in between his brows deepened.
"Chill, Taehyung. I meant it when I said anything will look good on you." The blond smiled as he looked at the ravenette in those hazel eyes.
"Whatever." Taehyung whispered before turning on his back.
"I'll wait for you. Let's go home together later, my prince." Jungkook said.
Taehyung didn't respond as he went back to helping his classmates in serving the customers.
Jungkook still had a smile on his lips, unaware that Hoseok was already looking at him with curious eyes that brought a knowing smile upon his lips.
"You're too obvious, Jungkook." Hoseok commented while shaking his head, making Jungkook dumbfounded.
"I'm not." He argued.
"Yeah, yeah." Hoseok brushed him off, totally not buying his words.
"If I was too obvious, he should've known by now." Jungkook pointed out, eyes glued on the ravenette who's now talking to his friends.
Hoseok couldn't stop himself from following his gaze only to sigh after a while.
"Well good luck with that. He seemed so oblivious or probably just pretending to be one." He said which made the blond sigh as well.
"He's just not really into me, I guess." Jungkook uttered, massaging his nape.
"Wow. Another oblivious one." Hoseok uttered, looking at Jungkook as if he's the dumbest person in the world.
"Well good luck with the both of you." was the only thing Hoseok could say to him as he tapped his shoulder before walking away, still mumbling a little.
"Both are dumb."

The booming sound coming from the hall and the cheers of the audience made Taehyung sigh.
He felt so tired and wasted that he wasn't able to change his clothes yet as he sat on the rooftop floor.
He did remove the cape because it was too heavy and annoying, but the rest remained clothed to him.
They were supposed to finish before the start of the theatrical play, but the customers kept on coming which made the student council decide to adjust the schedule for another hour.
Taehyung was too tired. Good thing, his classmates allowed him not to help in cleaning and restoration.
He sighed, looking at the night sky that looked so beautiful with scattered gleaming starlights.
The cool breeze eased his tired muscles as he leaned his back by the wall.
Taehyung was thankful he's the only one in the rooftop, enough for him to enjoy the serenity after a long tiring day.
His tired eyes slowly closed and in no time found himself being drifted to sleep as the wind felt so calming and the silence so reassuring.
Taehyung didn't know how long he had slept when he felt something warm around his chest.
Slowly, he opened his eyes only to be met by Jungkook's face with his warm smile and those round eyes that spoke of fondness.
"Hey, sleeping beauty."
Taehyung heard him say as he looked down to see Jungkook's jacket draped on him.
"You shouldn't be sleeping here, Tae. You might catch a cold." The blond uttered in a tender voice.
"What time is it?" Taehyung asked instead, pulling the jacket closer to him to feel warm.
"7:30." Jungkook responded upon checking the time.
Taehyung groaned. He had been asleep for an hour and a half from tiredness.
"I thought you already left home. If not for your classmate who said your things are still in the room, I almost really thought you left without me." Jungkook said, slowly letting him get up on his feet.
"How did you even open the door?" He asked, curious.
Taehyung wore the jacket before looking down the field. He could still hear the sound coming from the hall which indicated that the play hadn't ended yet.
"I took my sister's key without her knowing." Taehyung answered, eliciting a chuckle from the blond.
"That explains it." Jungkook whispered, slowly standing behind Taehyung.
"Should we go home?" He whispered, close to Taehyung's ear which made him gasp a little.
He turned around, and it was a wrong decision when he saw Jungkook's face only inches away from his own.
Taehyung felt like he's suffocating as he stared at those raven eyes that seemed to drown him.
The wind that softly touched their skins felt hot for some reason.
"It's getting dark. We should really go home." Taehyung said, trying to calm himself.
He saw Jungkook smile and instead of moving away, he just stood still in front of him, unwavering.
"Being a prince really suits you, Tae." Jungkook whispered, glancing at the ravenette's face with a look so tender.
"Nah. I still think it's lame." Taehyung responded, trying to ignore the loud beating of his heart.
He should congratulate himself for being so calm though deep inside he's on the brink of insanity just by having Jungkook that close.
"I actually wanted to be Levi than a prince. You know, from Attack on Titan." He added with a chuckle that made Jungkook smile even more.
"That would've been perfect for you too." Jungkook commented.
Taehyung saw his smile change into a playful one as he leaned a bit closer even more.
"Damn. If you were Levi, I would've wanted to be a titan. In that way, I could've eaten you." Jungkook whispered the last two words in a sexy way that made Taehyung gulp.
He stiffened when Jungkook pressed his forehead against his own, eyes locked intensely to him.
"Say, Tae..." Jungkook started, eyes glancing back and forth Taehyung's eyes and lips that had the latter shivering.
He could feel Jungkook's hot breath on his skin and it only made his knees weak.
"Are you really certain you're not into men?" He asked in a hopeful tone.
Taehyung didn't know what to respond. He was so mesmerized by Jungkook's raven eyes and the emotions he could see in them.
Emotions he's afraid to read.
"Should we find out together?" Jungkook challenged, hands tenderly landing and gripping Taehyung's waist.
The ravenette couldn't understand any of the words Jungkook had said. He was too lost in the moment especially when he finally felt Jungkook's soft lips, slowly pressing on his own.
The hand that caressed his waist sneaked around him, pulling him closer until their bodies were pressed together.
Taehyung's head was filled with nothing but Jungkook as he slowly deepened the kiss, making his knees turn to jelly.
If not for Jungkook's strong hold, his butt would've already hit the floor.
Taehyung found himself responding to Jungkook's soft lips with his eye closed.
The kiss was deep yet slow as if Jungkook was savoring every moment, letting him feel everything as he delved his tongue in his mouth that made both of them groan in unison.
The ravenette had his hand gripping Jungkook's blond locks with his desperate hands as the kiss deepened even more.
His tongue met Jungkook's own in a dance that had them moaning and wanting for more.
Taehyung gripped Jungkook's head closer, letting himself be engulfed in a pool of passion and ecstasy he never knew he'd dive into.
Only Jungkook could make him feel this way.
Only Jungkook.
As the ravenette felt like he's losing all his strength just from the kiss, he heard Jungkook groan, slowly moving a way.
"Tae.."
Jungkook was breathing hard, eyes hooded as he stared at Taehyung.
"Fuck.." He cursed before claiming Taehyung's lips once more.
This time, no longer slow. He's kissing with too much fervor that took Taehyung to bliss.
His heart was racing, feeling Jungkook's hand now caressing his back as he kissed him with carnality.
"Tae.."
Jungkook called out once more, bringing shivers down the ravenette's spine.
Taehyung could only moan in response, letting himself be swayed by Jungkook's everything.
"Fuck.. so good."
He heard him say, enough to finally push him in the edge and drive him crazy.
His lips perfectly molded with Jungkook's own, tongue playing against each other, body rubbing and wanting to feel warm.
They were drowning in their passion-filled kiss when a sudden bursting sound filled the air, followed by blinding colorful lights that illuminated the night sky.
The two of them abruptly moved away from each other, both panting hard as another booming sound followed.
Taehyung glanced at the sky and saw fireworks bursting like crystals.
It was the fireworks display intended to signify the end of a successful festival.
Few more followed which gave a temporary light to the two of them who could only stare at each other's eyes.
No words were said.
Only the sound of the fireworks could be heard along with the erratic beating of their hearts.
