i took him to the fair once, thinking it wouldn't be a big deal because friends do things like this.

he ran around like a child, smiling and pointing at everything he wanted me to buy, which i compromised and bought him half of everything. funnel cakes, fried things, more tickets, and even a stuffed bear that was too big for his arms, everything he wanted, i got for him because his smile was nice.

we sat along the tables, the food markets circling around us with people at each stand, and a large set of cheese fries in the center of us. he picked at them and looked around curiously, his mind obviously somewhere else.

"dean, do you think we could be more than just a quick fuck?" he asked randomly, blue eyes darting back to me.

"i don't do relationships." i replied, but he didn't listen.
