Chapter 4

-chapter 4-

Her light blonde hair shining in the sun, glossy blue eyes, the way she blushed whenever you gave her a compliment. Luke only spoke to her for a quick second, So he didn't understand why he couldn't stop thinking about her.
He heard Calum and Ashton walk through the hallway taking him from his thoughts as they talked amongst each other. Something about Calum and him both hung up on girls which confused the blonde boy.
Luke shook his head and dismissed the ease dropping session to pull out his new iPhone 6 he got last night, because he shattered his old one the day he met Ana. Which was another reason he couldn't just forget her and move on.
Checking the time, it was only 10:29. Feeling bored, Luke opened Twitter seeing a few fans tagging him in good morning tweets, like every morning. He favorited a few, knowing it'll probably make their whole day, then locked his phone and leaned back on the bed.
He picked at his shirt with his fingers and noticed he was still wearing pajamas, so Luke changed. Putting one of his black 'Green Day' shirts and some red skinny jeans with black vans, the tall boy strutted out of his room to the kitchen, hoping someone made breakfast. To his dismay, no one did, he peered around the living room hoping to find somebody, but no one was there.
Usually, Ashton cooks in the mornings for everyone. Smelling the food wakes Michael up early, but Luke didn't expect to find Calum awake yet. The tan boy usually slept until the afternoon, which didn't really bother any of the guys.
Out of options, he decided to knock on Ashton's bedroom door. Shortly after, the dimpled boy opened the door with Michael behind him playing Fifa.
"I thought you hated Fifa Ash?" Luke raised an eyebrow pointing to the tv. Ashton rolled his eyes at the taller boy then turned on his heels.
He sat down on his bed, "I do, but Michael here, refuses to leave and play in the living room. He says my tv has better graphics," Ashton shook his head.
Michael glanced from the screen to Luke, trying not to lose while explaining, "It's true, just look at the jerseys!" He motioned towards the tv. He was right, the high definition looked great.
Luke responded with a chuckle, "Whatever you say Michael," the lilac colored haired boy stuck his tongue out at Luke and continued playing his virtual game, "So is anyone gonna make breakfast?" Luke frowned sighing as his stomach growled.
Ashton snorted and Michael joined in, they didn't respond just laughed. Ashton wasn't going to cook for the guys anymore because he said they're 'unappreciative' and they 'eat like animals'. Michael was hungry as well, he just laughed because Ashton's snort sounded like a fart.
"I'm taking that as a no," Luke groaned in frustration and a little hunger, "Is Calum still asleep?" Luke hit Ashton's arm wanting his response because he was taking too long to answer.
"He's in his room waiting for some girl to call, the prick had to borrow my shirt," he shook his head again making a big frown.
"A girl?" Luke asked smiling creepily, licking his lips like a weirdo.
The song 'Teenage Dirtbag' played through the hallway, obviously Calum's phone. The must've girl just called. The three all stopped watching Michael play, and he stopped also so they could listen in.
"Oh hey..." Luke heard him answer before he walked into the kitchen out of hearing distance.
"That her on the phone?" Luke asked both of them. Ashton shrugged and Michael paused the game to  eavesdrop on the phone call.
"I'm guessing so," Ash stated as he went to follow Michael, Luke joined the two in the hallway next to the corner where Cal couldn't see them.
"Yeah, is about twenty minutes okay with you?" They heard Calum ask into the phone, "Okay great I'll see you there beautiful," All three of them looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh at their cheeky, crushing friend. He obviously heard them because he came around the corner and shot the group daggers with his eyes. "You have three seconds before I beat every one of you,"
They all ran back into Ashton's room and Michael locked the door behind them. Calum ran to the door behind his band mates and banged on it, "You pricks!" He yelled through the door, making the other three die with laughter.
The truth was, Luke was secretly sorry for whoever the girl was. He knew what Calum did, and he never thought it was right. He tried to sit and talk to Calum about it once, but he insisted Luke didn't know what he was talking about. It was best if the boys stayed out of Calum's love life, otherwise he would get hostile.
Calum planned to go to the local park with Ana and just walk around. He knew this would tell her he's sensitive and likes the peace and quiet. It always worked on the girls back in Australia. Also, Calum didn't want to just take her to lunch, that seemed lame. He didn't want Ana to think he was lame.
He made it to the park with about ten minutes to spare. This was the first time he had ever been early to a date. It was strange to him how much initiative he was taking to hangout with a girl he only met yesterday. Although, she was hot as fuck.
The raven haired boy's palms were like pools of nerves and anxiety, and he could feel the sweat dripping from his hairline. Calum's leg was shaking as he sat on a park bench. He restlessly wiped his brow with the back of his wrist and checked the time again. She should've been arriving at any moment.
In Calum's mind, Ana was just a girl, and there was millions of them. They're all the same, he just needed to land this date so he could get what he's been needing desperately - a fuck buddy, so he didn't understand why he was so nervous.
Yes, Ana was cute, but to Calum, he could get any girl He wanted. Quite frankly, right now, he wanted her. Soon afterwards, he knew they wouldn't last because of the tour, but he still wanted to enjoy the time they would spend together, even if there wasn't any feelings attached.
In the distance, Calum noticed a small blonde walking towards the bench trying to hide a smile. He knew it was her, Even from far away she was hot in Calum's mind.
He smirked and stood to greet the pretty girl. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink as Calum awkwardly opened his arms for a hug. Hesitantly, Ana wrapped her arms around the much taller boy's waist and he cloaked around her shoulders.
Calum shook his useless thoughts away and grabbed Ana's hand in his and began walking no where in particular. She was startled at first, but then piped up and asked, "Where are we going?"
He kept his eyes forward with a devilish grin, "An adventure," Calum glanced at her. She had beautiful blue eyes and soft honey hair, she was beautiful. Though, there is something about her that made him all giddy inside, and that feeling had never happened before it was weird.
Ana sensed him glance at her from the corner of her eye. She ignored it and smiled to herself and let the slender boy guide her to wherever they were destined to go. Sure, he was cute and very charming, but Ana didn't want to judge him too quickly.
"So tell me about yourself," he said almost reading her mind. The small girl widened her eyes at the sudden question and contemplated the right things to say. His accent made her thoughts blurry and faded, so it was difficult to find an answer.
"Um," She pursed her lips, collecting a few thoughts, "I go to NYU," She said pointing her finger up, glad she thought of something to tell the nice boy.
Calum raised an eyebrow, "The kids that go there are so snobby," he shook his head. He met a few people who went there last week at a meet and greet, they were rude and nasty towards all four of the boys.
Ana scoffed in disbelief of what he just said. She didn't think she emitted the 'snobby' vibe. Calum put his hands out defensively, "Not that you are, I just know a few who are like that," he bit his lip, not meaning to hurt the pretty girl's feelings.
"I know what you meant," She smiled and reassured him it was okay, "Trust me, my roommate can         be like that sometimes," Ana said referring to Isabelle.
''You live in the dorms?" Calum continued to ask questions to make it seem like he cared about the         answer. Actually, he could care less, but he knew how to win girls over. He was a genius.
"No, I live in the near by apartment complex with my best friend," Ana answered, gesturing towards the direction to get to her apartment. She enjoyed having someone wanting to get to know her and ask about her life.
Calum's brown eyes sparkled in the afternoon sun and his hair was shaggy and laid just above his eyes. Ana could still see him taking glances ever so often. But she didn't mind, she enjoyed the attention and affection she was receiving from the Australian boy.
Soon enough, silence took over and all there was to listen to was the birds chirp and the passing cars. Ana looked around anxiously hoping they would reach a destination soon. Her feet were beginning to hurt from her sandals. The middle part was digging into the area between her toes and it was extremely uncomfortable.
"Where are we going anyway?" She whined almost. It was more of an irritated voice, but she quickly regretted it after realizing she already asked the question, making her feel embarrassed.
Calum smiled at the anxious girl and replied, "I told you, on an adventure," He didn't necessarily like the long walk either, but Calum knew once they arrived Ana would be putty in his hands.
Finally, they approached the far end of the park which had a small swing set. Usually, there would be kids everywhere, but it was completely deserted. Without hesitation, they each took a set and began swinging back and forth. Ana thought it was cute and childish if him to bring her to the local playground.
"So tell me about yourself," She said mocking him, saying it the way he did earlier. Ana kicked her feet out in front of the swing and began to swing faster and higher.
The chocolate eyed boy smirked, "You seriously don't know who I am?" He raised his eyebrows in disbelief. Ana shook her head and bit her lip in response.
He chuckled slightly and shrugged, "Well I'm Calum and I'm in a band, we live in a flat on the east side of town and I play bass," he gave a cheeky smile at the last part and began to swing higher along with Ana.
"Well, erm," She bit the inside of her cheek thinking of something else to ask, "What's your favorite color?" Ana settled with that, giving an uncomfortable smile. She mentally face palmed herself for asking one of the most overused questions of all time.
"Baby blue," he said, eyes forward. He obviously felt the strange feeling in the air, "Do you wanna go get a bite?" He suggested trying to release the awkwardness. Cal extended his hand towards the long haired girl, motioning for her to grab hold.
She happily nodded and took his hand in her own as he lead them to a small deli just down the street. Before they walked in, he paused with the door handle in his hand, "Did I mention how beautiful you look?" He smirked noticing Ana's face go ten times redder then it has been all afternoon.
Calum knew the deal was already sealed and Ana would be begging for more after today. He didn't have to do much, just give her attention and listen to her for a few minutes. It was always easy for him. All he needed now was to be invited back to her place, or invite her to his flat. You could say the date went perfectly.
