creation
A deep malicious laugh erupted from the grey-haired man as he furiously wrote notes with his right hand which was smeared with dark ink. Simultaneously he was dropping green dots with a pipet into a clear substance using his left hand. The droplets hissing upon bouncing the surface. The old worn wooded desk littered with scraps of paper that hardly seemed legible considering they were half-assed. Formulas and depictions of the human anatomy made up the scientist's messy notes.
In the dimly lit room with a single light over the desk and the scientist hunched over monitoring his work. There were various pipes and glowing substances running through them to a body covered with a white sheet. The green droplets eventually turned the water blue and with an excited sigh the scientist turned a knob and the liquids began flowing into their own separate pipe to the covered corpse. The deceased body, being made of several parts, was a masterpiece.
The liquid moved slowly and the impatient tapping of the black dress shoes on the tiled floor was echoing the room. The blue tinted liquid floated swiftly upon reaching a downward curve flowing effortlessly into the top of the body and into the needle nestled deep in the spine.
The tall man stooped over to the corpse, now a dismembered body part garage. He had picked only the finest items for his creation. The sheet shuddered and the thing underneath twitched. The grey-haired man, Kim Namjoon, shuddered with excitement. They had called him crazy, but he had unlocked the secret of life.
"And now for the big reveal!" the scientist shouted gripping the edge of the sheet and yanking it back in one swift motion. Tossing the pure white sheet aside there lay an abomination of all that has lived. Namjoon let out a shuttering breath. "Beautiful"
The creature suffered and wiggled, eyes twitching behind eyelids; trapped within a nightmare of life. The scientist had tried this with many experiments and none of them seemed to remember anything from their past lives; seeing how they were useless he disposed of them.
But this was the final product. The stitches pulled roughly against their seams as the creation pulled up an arm. The scientist decided to let his thing take it's time to wake up. He wanted it to be perfect. This was a fine specimen and would be the Prince of all modern science when he would reveal this at the National Science Convention. He was going to beat those old bastards that failed to compare to his level.
The eyes of the creature blinked open: once, twice. Before actually seeing. His first view was of a white light of the scientist's flashlight checking his pupil. The person above him roughly held his eyelid back peering at the deep red and pink veins.
The creature could feel the vibrations of the man above him speaking he could see him speaking, but he couldn't hear; it was like being underwater. Everything was muddy and he didn't know why all he knew was that it was wrong. His heart rate increased and his eyes went back and forth looking around the examination room.
"Did you hear me?" the voice and face becoming clearer. He knew the face above him was beautiful, but dreadful at the sight.
The creature coughed hard turning on his side to spit out a little bit of leftover embalming fluid. It ran down his chin as he was guided into a sitting position. The man looked at him with wide eyes taking everything he had made.
"Hello my little creature," the man said tugging here and there at his limbs and fingers. The creature looked over at the man. He was fully covered with a white coat and black slacks. His white shirt and tie a little disheveled along with his grey hair. The creature had only been reborn momentarily but knew enough that he should be ashamed of his naked body being probed by the man before him.
His naked body. The creature glanced down at himself in horror, how could something look so unholy? Ugly red cuts along his limbs and torso held together by thick stitches deep within his skin surly to leave scars.
"Do you know who you are?" the man asked sitting on a wheeling stool with a clipboard. He had placed one of the creations foot on his knee stretching the once dead muscle. His white-gloved felt like glue to his sticky skin.
"Do you know what happened to you?" the man moved onto the other leg and stretched this one a little harder testing the durability of the muscle. He had taken the limbs from an unidentified man only a few days after his death.
"Do you know anything, at all?" the man asked a little irritated at his little monster. Most of his patients had been able to speak and perform basic functions upon awakening.
The monster gave a little grunt and swallowed thickly the bitter fluid leaving a nasty taste in his mouth. "Y-yeah" the very raspy voice of the creature responded. The creature was in pain. A searing pain that he couldn't get away from a pain that came and seeped deep into one's bones and made it hard to forget.
"Good," said the scientist "I'm Kim Namjoon. I created you and therefore you will live to serve me" He said smoothly, but the hint of insanity poking out through his eyes.
The creature shuddered into himself at being shifted uncomfortably to a standing position by the scientist. His bare feet hit the cold tiled floor and he stumbled. The scientist caught his arm popping a couple of stitches. The creature hissed through gritted teeth hunching over and clutching his arm like an abused animal.
The scientist looked down at the torn flesh disapprovingly. "Don't do that again?" he said looking up to meet his creations eyes. The monster nodded his head up to his creator.
Seeming to approve this the scientist dragged the naked creature over to a tiny metal table with scissors and sewing materials. They were thicker than normal material. Namjoon was irritated that his animal had broken itself; the very thing he had created pouring all of his time and energy into!
He grabbed the thick string threading it through the flesh of his arm and shoulder. The skin was thick and tanned along with the rest of the pieces. He didn't want his creature to be a bunch of different colors, well at least for the moment. He needed it to look as close as humanly possible.
He did modify a few things, like by giving him new and more 'pretty' teeth. Then he found a nice corpse that had very silky hair and attached that. He broke a couple of bones in the body to get a better look. I mean it was his creature he can do with it as he wishes.
Namjoon noticed the creature kept looking down almost ashamed. His own monster shouldn't be ashamed with all of Namjoon's additions to his perfect body.
"So do you remember anything?" Kim tried again. "Like your name, parents, a phone number, anything like that" he finished tying off the black cord and patted it making sure it was secured in place.
"Um I think it was t-t-t I don't know" the creature whaled out squeezing his clasped fists into the crease of his stomach and hips.
"Mhmm T, I guess I will keep that in mind when I make you your papers" he patted his beasts knee. Standing up.
The creature stood up along beside his maker as if by a natural instinct. "Follow me," Namjoon said as he began walking out of the dark room leaving the artificial fluids behind with his hands behind his back. He didn't need to look back to know his thing was following him.
The scientist unlocked several large steel bolts on a heavy metal door. It swung open with little resistance. He stood back to allow the creature to exit the room before shutting and alarming it once more. He can't afford to let his dirty secrets out.
The only way was up. The creature stumbled as he tried to follow the scientist up the stairs. His thighs were like gelatin as he held onto the side rale deciding to pull himself up. With a little grunt, he began his track up the steps. Every few steps it got brighter and brighter.
Namjoon had reached the top of the landing and waited impatiently for the thing to catch up. As it did its breath was very ragged. The scientist would never make his creation do something he knew it was incapable of so he let it be.
The creature finally reached the top barely being able to stand. He collapsed against the white wall clutching his burning chest.
He looked up through his brown eyelashes at the room. It was a long hallway. The walls were combinations of grained wood and painted walls. The contemporary house was very breathtaking even more so now that he actually struggled to catch his breath.
The scientist took a few steps to the right of the steps and the creature followed. As soon as he was out of the steps a sliding wall slid into place a loud click sounded.
The scientist walked further into the house. He leads his creature to a room he had made especially for him. It had pretty white creamy walls all around. A single bed with the minimum essentials.
"This is where you will be staying. I will be monitoring you 24/7 don't try anything" the creature walked through the doorway. He stopped and turned towards the scientist.
"Oh, and the door is locked from the outside" he sneered shutting the door almost in slow motion. Satisfyingly clicking shut.
