Third Person POV:

It's been three days since Taehyung was in the hospital. All his friends visited him regularly. Jungkook and Bogum practically lived in the hospital room.Even though Taehyung has told them a dozen times that its alright to go home, both of them are not even a tad bit convinced.

Taehyung could only shake his head at their stubborn attitudes and let them be because no matter how much he denies, he liked being in Jungkook's company, although he couldn't say the same for Bogum, the other male would sit quietly in a corner, watching Jungkook blabbering away non-stop and him just listening.

All this time he was in the hospital he thought a lot. He had a lot of time to spare so he thought about everything. Although Jungkook's rants about life shortened the time period abit.

He thought about Bogum. His words. Taehyung can never forgive him for that. Although he speaks to Bogum, even Bogum is aware of the fact that Taehyung has distanced himself from him.

You're sick.

How can Taehyung forget that? The one who told him he loved him with all his heart isn't ready to accept the whole of him. Taehyung knows he might be overreacting, maybe it was just a normal reaction but he couldn't stop thinking about Bogum and his hurtful words.

He also thought about Jackson. When he heard Jackson had visited him during his unconscious state, he was just...confused. Why was he sorry? What was he sorry for? Why was he sorry now? After all those years he had been hurting Taehyung, if he thought an apology could solve everything then he is the biggest fool. He didn't forget and won't forget.

He also thought about Jungkook a lot. Even though the other has plenty of things to look after, he still stays with Taehyung in the hospital room. He knows he doesn't deserve Jungkook. Jungkook has been the kindest and most selfless person he has ever met with a heart made of pure gold.

And...

He thought about one more thing.

Something he never wished he would think about. Something he still wishes he would forget about but the deed has been done and tonight he would take the first step to do the said deed.

His life would either improve or worsen even more after tonight, Taehyung just hopes he's ready to face it all.

.

.

.

It was a beautiful night. The bright moon magically illuminating the dark sky. Sheltering the little stars that were scattered in the vast sky.

Jungkook had left just a couple minutes ago, on a quick visit to their home. He had wanted to make something for Taehyung, hearing the latter complain about the hospital food.

This gave Taehyung some time to carry on with his plan, currently holding his mobile phone in his hands. Contemplating whether to take the step or not. After some hesitation he decided it was for the best.

And so he called.

His uncle.

"Hello?" He spoke carefully in his phone waiting for his uncle to respond.

"Hey! My boy? It has been long. You have forgotten this old uncle of yours." The older male spoke in a weak yet cheerful voice.

Taehyung chucked a bit at his instincts and decided to listen his uncle's constant nagging.

After both of them had talked for a bit and a comfortable silence settled between them, Taehyung decided to drop the bomb.(metaphorically of course)

"Uhhmm...Uncle?"

"Yes?" He spoke in an oh-so-sweet tone urging Taehyung to just leave everything behind and hide himself in his strong embrace. Oh how bad he missed his uncle's hugs.

"I was wondering if I um...could come and visit you?"

"Really? Of course you can. I will prepare the guest room right now--"

"No...It's just...um..."

"Speak up." He scolded lightheartedly.

"Can I stay there with you? Like for a long time? Until I find myself a family and settle...?"

"...You mean you wanna move in here...?"

"Y-yeah. Basically." Taehyung stuttered a bit nervous about the whole ordeal.

"Of course!!! I'm more than delighted to welcome you. It's just...why all of a sudden? Did something happen?"

"No Uncle. I'm just ...tired of life here."

"I'm not convinced but anyways. I'm just too happy to have you here. I'm gonna inform Lisa right now. She's gonna jump to the moon."

Taehyung giggled and smiled fondly remembering his vivacious cousin. He hung up after a short talk with his uncle during which his uncle informed him about all the procedure he has to follow in order to travel overseas. It was always his uncle who visited him before so it was a first time for Taehyung to go out of the country.

He had done it. He was gonna move on for good.

.

.

.

"I'm home!" Jungkook shouted as he kicked their door open with one leg and entered like a gangster. Why is he so extra again?

It was approximately a week after Taehyung's discharge and that he had talked to his Uncle.

"Hmm" Taehyung hummed as he was engrossed in the serial that was currently playing on their TV. The more Taehyung thought about it, the more he's anxious about missing his life here. Only the times spent with Jungkook and their friends.

He's gonna miss them.

After they had dinner during which Jungkook oh-so-excitedly talked about his upcoming match and they were sitting on their bed as per routine, Taehyung took a long sweet glance at Jungkook who was watching a movie.

Thousand memories flooded his mind when he took a glance at the other.

"Jungkook...?"

Pausing the movie, Jungkook turned around to look at the black-haired male. It was a comfortable silence, just them enjoying the moment and not even talking.

After staring at each other, Taehyung suddenly lunched at the other, tackling him. Jungkook let out a surprised noise and wrapped his hands around Taehyung's waist out of instinct.

Burying his head in his neck, Taehyung hummed gently. Jungkook raised a brow at his action but still stroked his waist in circular motions.

"What's with you today?"

"Nothing. I just...let's stay like this for a bit."

Jungkook hummed in agreement and shifted around to get comfortable with Taehyung laying on top of him.

"Koo..?"

"Yeah..?"

"Don't quit playing."

"Out of the blue?"

"Yeah. I know it makes you super happy so don't even dare thinking about quitting it."

"Alright Your Highness!"

Taehyung smacked his head and Jungkook chuckled while rubbing his head.

"Also! Listen to your mom. She worries about you a lot. And stop stirring troubles--"

"Woah Woah Woah Calm down. What's up with you today?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to tell you this. And now seems the perfect time." Lies. He knows why he's saying all of this. He knows all too well.

"...Okay?...and? Anything else?"

"Umm...Don't ever drink. Last time you were drunk I couldn't even recognize you." Taehyung gave it a thought before speaking.

"Yeah Yeah. Rub it on my face."

"And take good care of yourself. Make your health your first priority. Ok?"

Jungkook hummed in agreement and wrapped his hands around Taehyung tighter.

"And be less selfless. Being selfish once in a while isn't a bad thing Koo! It's important."

"I'm not a selfless person. I'm very selfish."

"That isn't you and you know that. Think about what makes you happy too, okay? Don't play hero all the time." Taehyung raised his head from Jungkook's chest and looked at him.

Jungkook childishly pulled out a tongue at Taehyung at which the other just shook his head.

They stayed like that for quite a long time, Taehyung's head resting on Jungkook's chest, listening to his steady heartbeat, unconsciously syncing both their heartbeats.

Tears were not quite far, he wanted to cry in front of Jungkook one last time, the feel that familiar sense of familiarity but he didn't.

He couldn't let Jungkook know.

When Jungkook was fast sleep on the bed, Taehyung carefully sneaked out of the bed and looked at the other in longing.

He's gonna miss him so much. He knows it.

Silently pulling out the chair , he sat on it and started writing a letter, pouring his emotions into the words he wrote, the blue ink capturing whatever he felt, he took his sweet time thinking back to the memories he made with Jungkook.

By the time he was finished, he could feel the tears streaming down his face, he was quick to wipe them off and gently folded the paper, putting it on the side.

When everything was done and he had packed his stuff, he finally stood with his luggage in their room and glanced at Jungkook one last time.

He smiled at the slight pout that was adorning his handsome face. He walked slowly to their bed and leaned down a bit to take a closer look at Jungkook.

After watching him for a while, Taehyung silently placed a quick peck on his cheek, blushing afterwards.

He smiled sadly and whispered the words to him.

"Farewell Jeon Jungkook. It was really nice meeting you. I hope you never forget me and I'll do the same."

And with that he walked out, out of his room, out of Jungkook's house, out of his life, out of Jungkook and out of everyone's life.

.

.

.

Jungkook squinted his eyes as the sun rays hit his face. He shuffled around his bed and stretched. His sore muscles finally getting a relief.

After a while, he opened his eyes and looked around. Blinking multiple times, he finally got a focused vision.

At the call of nature, he went to the bathroom and started to freshen up, too sleepy to even register the fact that Taehyung was not beside him.

After taking his time to get ready, he stepped out of the bathroom and waddled to the kitchen.

Since the sleep was already long gone, he wandered his gaze round the house only to find Taehyung nowhere.

Taehyung usually waits in the kitchen as he wakes up way earlier than the other but he was not here today and Jungkook found that a bit weird.

Deciding to check up on him, he lazily wandered around the house. Peeping into the restrooms and the other rooms, he found nothing.

He became more worried as time passed by. Speeding up now since it was really unusual, he shouted.

"TAE?"

Nothing. Jungkook could feel his anxiety rising. He searched for his phone and decided to give him a call.

The phone ringed but no one answered. He heard the phone ringing. It was somewhere near. Somewhere close to him. He followed the sound and found himself standing in their living room.

His gaze fell on the purple-case phone lying on the stand near the couch. By now, Jungkook was pretty worried. Taehyung always had his phone on him.

It was weekend so going to school was out or the scenario. Could he have gone to a friend's home? The idea suddenly crossed his mind and he decided to call his friends. Taehyung and Jungkook shared the same friend circle so he knew pretty much everyone of his friends.

Jungkook sat down on the couch, defeated. He had called everyone. By everyone he means even Bambam who was in Busan. No one knew where Taehyung was.

After some time, he started to walk to his bedroom. On entering the room he spotted an envelope placed neatly on their study table. How had he missed this earlier? Maybe he was too asleep.

Eyes fixated on the piece of paper, he walked towards it with heavy steps.

Is it what he thinks it is?

With quick movements he opened the letter and started to read what was written inside. It was beautifully written. Taehyung had impressive writing.

'Dear Kook!'

'Hey! It's me. Your one and only best friend.'

Jungkook scoffed at that and smiled slightly not aware of what was about to come.

'I don't wanna beat around the bush so let's get straight to the point.I know I should have told you all of this in person but I can't. I might change my mind if I do so and I really don't want that so here I am writing a letter to you in the 21st century.'

'I'm moving out of the country. In fact I would've already moved by the time you would be reading this.'

Jungkook felt his whole world crumble down. His eyes widened at the written words. Emotions rushing. Heart beating uncontrollably fast and hands shaking slightly. He was not taking all this really well.

'You can curse me all you want. I would do that for you too. I am the biggest dick ever born. I'm really shameless and selfish. You are not wrong to feel all those about me. I know its not something that can easily be forgotten. After all you've done for me all I ever did was shut you out and you still stayed by my side.'

Jungkook felt his eyes sting. A lump formed in his throat and it felt like something was trying to bury his insides.

'I had a really good time with you and the others. I want to cherish those memories forever. I really wanna frame those if possible so that I could look at it every time I go through a hard time.'

'You are an amazing person Jungkook. So selfless and so passionate. You might try to be a tough guy on the outside but I know you really well. You are the biggest softie I ever met.'

Jungkook wiped the tears that threatened to escape his swelled eyes. He sniffed as he continued to read.

'And someone so perfect like you had to met me. I'm really sorry you had to be friends with someone so broken and vulnerable like me.'

'I hope you would forget about all the hard times I gave you and try to start anew. Although it might be hard and seem impossible, you have to try in order to live a happier life.'

'Goodbye Jungkook! I hope you live a healthy and happy life. If possible I would want to meet you again sometimes. When I'm no longer broken.'

'Thank you for everything Jungkookie. I love you.'

Jungkook finally broke down. He couldn't control the sobs that left him. All the emotions came out and he let it out.

He cried until his voice got hoarse. Until he had left no strength in him. Until he felt so light headed it was almost blissful.

He wanted someone to stab him so that he would forget about the pain his heart is currently going through.

He screamed at no one. He was a mess right now. Tears adorning his cheeks all the way down to his jaw. His eyes so swollen and red it was almost pitiful.

Nothing can explain the pain he's going through right now.

"I-I love you too. S-so much" he whispered out, too tired to speak.

The comforts of his room, the only witness of his sincere confession.

Taehyung was gone, just like that.
