Third Person's POV:
Five years is a long time. Five whole years are longer than you would expect, just when you would want the time to pass quickly, it won't.
It is a really long time yet for Taehyung, it passed in the blink of an eye. It passed as if it were a matter of months and not years we were talking about.
It had been five years since his life took a drastic change, five years since he had decided to move to London and leave his old life back, ignoring anything and everything as if they never existed in the first place.
These five years changed him a lot. Of course it would. He learned a dozen of things. Even his perspective of life took a drastic turn.
No longer the weak, fragile, vulnerable boy who was afraid of standing up for himself because of the guilt his heart carried, he, who was scared of his bully, his past and most importantly, himself. He was no longer that pitiful.
Although the guilt subsided with time and some counselling sessions, he still felt bad about what had happened years back when he had lost someone so special to him.
His Hyung.
Time had taught him that maybe it wasn't completely his fault. Maybe he was not the one to be blamed but the circumstances.
Despite all those sessions, all those talks to make himself feel better, his heart still carried that guilt. Although the feeling was not as strong as before, it was still there.
That is why the first thing he did was visiting the grave in Daegu. That horrific place that he dreaded with every bone in his body. The very place he would think of, in his darkest times. But running away wasn't an option now, was it?
That is why he found himself in the cemetery, in broad day light. No hint of living beings in the vast area whatsoever. He could hear his own heart beat thumping in his ribcage with how silent it was around him.
Yes, he had returned back to Korea.
As the saying goes it was his unwavering determination to never let go that was enough to light up all his hopes.
He decided to face it all. Nothing would come from hiding behind a mask. He couldn't hide away all his life, eventually he'll have to face them.
His existence isn't based on his mistakes nor is he the sum of his missing parts. Taehyung learned that a hard way.
"Mr Kim?" His assistant spoke in a small voice not wanting to disturb the photographer who was currently kneeling in front of the stone. It was not a common stone though.
To Taehyung, this stone represented his past. It was an embodiment of how delicate and fragile he was back then.
It was his Hyung's grave.
"I'll get going in a second. You go first." The male replied not even glancing back at his assistant.
"Alright Sir."
Taehyung pursued photography like he wanted to. It was his dream to capture the world from his point of view and share it with others and to say he was content with what he had would be an understatement. He still felt like all of this was surreal.
It was too good to be true. Back when he had left Korea, he really thought it was over. He was so sure he wouldn't be able to make it. Yet here he was, standing in all his glory, meeting the only one who believed in him despite everything.
"Tae, let them bark all they want. I know you are a good person. Don't let them get you. They are not worth it."
"I know you'd be a someone one day and I'll go around the neighbourhood and brag about it."
"You can do it Tae. I can see it."
Taehyung wipes a single tear that somehow broke out, unknowingly.
He stood back on his feet and stared at the grave in longing. Memories flooding his already jumbled head. Bitter sweet memories flashing right before his eyes as he stood back on his legs, wincing a little at the sudden stretch in his limbs.
"A-Are you proud,Hyung?" A mere whisper it was. The broken voice laced with emotion no one but he, himself could feel.
....
"Yo, Jungkook! Well played man!" A foreign team player congratulated the raven head.
Jungkook smiled back politely in return and shook his hands, repeating the same routine, it was like a ritual to him now. Greeting and talking to their opponents after a long, tiring match.
It was the final series of the year and their team, once again, unsurprisingly won the match. It was a tough game, Jungkook won't lie. The other team was stronger than he had expected and they were almost intimidated by the opposing team in the first half of the match, yet they won.
Jeon Jungkook, a professional team player for South Korea. The most successful athlete at such a young age with breathtakingly handsome face was a topic of the town.
Everyone swooned upon him despite their gender. It would be a lie if he said he doesn't enjoy it. He basically lives for the praises and attention despite the fact that once in a while it becomes a bit too much to handle.
"Jungkook?" A small voice resonated in the four walled room, Jimin's head peeking from the office door.
"What happened now, Jimin?" Jungkook sighed, irritated by the sudden intruder when all he wanted was a peaceful nap in his office since he had practice in the evening. His life couldn't get more tiring.
"Nothing. You are really cool?" Jimin spoke up after a long pause during which he took careful steps towards the other who was cross-looking at him, not at all impressed by the shorter male.
"All of a sudden? What did you do?" Jungkook retorted already suspecting Jimin might've done something against his wishes. 'Cause the Jimin he knows never complements him. Like never. It becomes sadder the more Jungkook thinks about it but never mind.
"I might or might not have set up an interview for you?" Carefully responded the mint-haired male, mentally preparing himself for any sort of reaction.
Jungkook was hella unpredictable.
"The hell you taking about?" Jungkook stood up furiously, a frown etched to his face and a sudden increase in his chill voice.
There was it. Jimin could only sigh at the attitude.
"Excuse me? I'm your manger. Technically I have the right." Retorted back the small male, both hands on his hips as he looked at the player accusingly, lack of amusement dripping his face.
"Technically, my ass! Couldn't you consult me first?"
"Calm your tits bitch. I did it for your sake." Jimin shook his anger off with a careless wave of his hand, knowing all too well that it would only get worse if he fights back and knowing Jungkook since their highschool years, it won't end well.
"My sake," Jungkook aggressively mumbled before storming out of his office and slamming the door shut.
Jimin flinched and punched the air to relieve his stress. Honestly this shouldn't be such big of a deal but the raven head had a knack for making everything harder.
Jungkook was absolutely against the whole interview thing. Jimin had tried to convince him multiple times but he refused every time. It was a big mystery why so.
However, Jimin huffed and nodded to himself, an expression that clearly displayed determination etched onto his face.
I can't let him go easily this time. I'm his manager for a reason. This brat should learn how to respect me.
"Yes, Yes. He's ready...My pleasure Mr.Nam!"
Jimin hung up and started to walk to the field. Already sure Jungkook was there, sweating his anger off.
"Jungkookie~" Jimin cringed at the tone he had to use to convince this man-child. He might seriously consider resigning at this point.
"Shut up, Hoe." Mentally assuring himself that Jungkook didn't mean it, it was just his anger talking, yet he couldn't help but feel a slight bit hurt at how the other was treating him.
Yet again, he had to be the mature one.
"The disrespect I swear to god, imma cut off your balls and smuggle them to South Africa--"
"Please god! I almost imagined it." Jungkook knitted his brows together and looked at his manager accusingly.
"You pervert."
"TF. Why am i a pervert for imagining my own balls?"
"Tell me you did not just spell that out loud, rat. And you sure you even have the balls?" The shorter male gasped out, disbelief written over his face.
"Sorry to break your fantasy but I just did. Oh and you were trying to smuggle my balls then why are you in doubt now?" Jungkook replied smugly.
"I can't believe we are having this conversation...I don't even know why the hell I'm your manager when I feel like your servant."
"You don't know? Your stinky ass loves me bro~" The player sing-songed just to annoy his potential best friend slash manager.
"Don't 'bro' me you tasteless swine and listen to me!"
"Yeah. Shoot" Jungkook challenged his manager.
"What?" He asked confused.
"Words, you dumb cow."
"Wait, did you just call me a cow? How dare you--"
"Now that I think about it...The one feeling bad should be the cow here." Jungkook retorted with a dramatic tone and a concentrated frown etched onto his face.
"Shut the fuck up! you pig. Listen to me, I prepared an interview and you have to give that. End of discussion."
"We talked about it, Jimin!" The raven head rolled his eyes and spoke up with a tired voice, Jimin almost felt bad at his exhausted tone. Almost.
"Excuse my sorry ass mister but you just told me 'I dont wanna give a fucking interview' while I stared at you. If you call that talking than my friend! We need to find you a new dictionary."
"Jimin please! Don't make it hard for me." Jungkook sighed and looked at him pleadingly.
"Look who's talking. I wanna flip you so bad but I won't and you have to give that interview. Are we clear? Yes. Okay? Okay." Jimin ranted and took a deep breath at the end to make up for the lack of oxygen in his system.
"Alright but I have a condition." The player finally agreed and stared at the shorter male.
"Finally. The heavens decided to listen to me." Jimin breathed out a sigh of relief.
"You have to buy me food."
"That's easy--"
"For a year."
"Jungkook don't test me. I'm so close to kicking you all the way to Pacific Ocean..." Jimin closed his eyes and muttered out, his nostrils flaring. If only the human body was able to, you would be able to witness smoke coming out of Jimin's ears.
"Okay, Okay geez...A month then."
"A week it is. You have to appear for the interview."The shorter male warned.
"Fine. I went easy on you."
"And I appreciate that kind act with all my existence." A sarcastic smile was enough to make Jungkook burst out in chuckles.
Jimin soon joining in.
This would be all. Drop your thoughts here..
