Leo's P.O.V.

"I am going to the hospital!" I
ran out. I let the fresh air fill me and took a breath for Hazel.
It was difficult to move my iron heavy leg. I panted and decided to take my car.
I moved in and started driving.
I passed the gas station and... Here I am.
I walked in the corridors.

I am here Hazel Grace.
I knocked the door. I looked around. Luckily, no one knows I am here.
It is midnight, I guess everyone is in a deep sleep, into completed darkness.
I opened the door and came close her.
It was silent.
It was like the disease erupted in that scary room.
It was misty and everything was covered in dust. I opened the window to refresh the place.
"Who is there?" A sleepy voice asked.
"A night guardian." I said moving the curtains.
I let the moon appear and get lost into the room.
"You haven't solved simple questionings mister... you actually don't *yawn* know who you are..." She said moving her head to the opposite side.
"You are ignoring me sleeping beauty... It isn't so easy to sneak out, avoid all the nurses just to wish you goodnight..." I said smiling lightly.
"Not difficult enough for a supposing guardian *yawns* sorryy the medicine made me sleepy..." She said and she yawned once more.
I complained about the hospital's dust in the rooms and she nodded slowly.
"Thanks you again for..." She didn't finish.
She slept peacefully.
I came closer and petted her hair.
I moved them left and right to discover her forehead. I brought my lips closer, but I didn't kiss her. I put her oxygen mask back to her mouth and nose.
Our first kiss will exist only with her permission. I walked out from the window using my rope.
It wasn't easy for an untrained walker, but I could try.
Then, I touched the ground and went at Raphael's.
After that I have to plan some strategies for the new guys that attacked the love of my life...

Hazel's P.O.V.

I woke up at home. I had to get my medicine and watch tv...
America's next top model.
"Well, well,well why didn't you come the whole time?" My mom shouted.
I turned my head to see April's red eyes and her neck full of bites.
I gasped.
Poor girl she hadn't consiller with her.

"I hope you have a good excuse on this one!" My mom told her.
She turned red.
"Please do not yell I get dizzy! My head needs to gain oxygen and I need my sister next to me. I was checking her homework and I would like to continue..." I said.
I made them stop.
My mom put a pillow under my head and kissed my forehead.
"Baby I will be right there if you need me." She told me.
I know she will!
April sat next to me.
"Thanks for the safe!" April said squeezing me in a hug.
"That is enough." I told her and checked my phone.
I had 3 missed calls and 2 messages from...
"What are you doing Hazel?" She said fluttering her eyes.
"The consiller is over here, your eyes need plenty of sleep and I will be doing something really important in my room." I replied.
"Got it... Lemergency!" She said in a naughty tone.
I went in my room.
It was three days without seeing him.
It is better living without me Leo...
I will die! I know I will...
And the oblivion will swallow all of us one day.
I breathed heavily and I knew the end was close.
I just listened to the music...

After two depressing days...

I read for the university hugging my knees.
"Honey are you sure you won't go outside? You are better and you should go to the supporting group." She told me as kind as she could.
"You should realise I will die... You need to find things to do except from the babysitting of a goner."
She left sobbing softly.
I cried once I realised how hard I was at my mom... My mom cares... I am just a failed teenager.
My phone ringed.
"He... He... hey..." I said trying not to sound like I was crying.
"Hazel Grace? What is wrong?" Leo said.
I can imagine his face.
He must be frowning and his mouth will be dropped. All that in a unique sexy way.
"I am okay..." I said weakly.
"Okay?" He repeated.
"Okay"
"Okay?"
"Okay"
"Okay?"
"Okay..."
"Go to the backyard." He told me.
"Why? There is no reason to do that..."I said,but I obeyed.
I scanned the backyard and two hands wrapped my body. He hugged me.
"Hey Leogas... Remember your promise..." I said as I laughed at his face.
"You are beaut... You are okay now..." He said making me smile.
"Wanna go for a walk?" He asked me suggesting me his arm.
I took it and he dragged my luggage.

I texted April to give me the payback.
My parents would think I was with a friend.
