🔥News That's Deathly Good part 2🔥
You guys = the best
----------
~two days later~
As you and f/n were sitting on your couch, chatting idly, your phone rang. You jumped slightly, but f/n fell all the way off the couch.
"I'll get it," you said.
"Thanks," f/n said, standing up and dusting themselves off.
"Hello?" a voice said. The voice was oddly familiar, but you couldn't place it. "Is this the residence of f/n and y/n?"
"Yeah, that's us," you answered, still confused.
"Good, good!" the voice said excitedly. "Yes, well, it's me Alastor, here to see if I can still take you two up on that offer of mine of becoming co-hosts on my station!"
Silence.
"So?" f/n yelled. "Who is it?"
You covered the mouthpiece with your hand and replied, "It's Alastor."
Your friend ran over to you.
"Give me the phone," they said, and without waiting for an answer, they snatched it.
"Are you still there?" you heard Alastor ask.
"Yeah, this is f/n, sorry," f/n said.
"Oh, delightful!" Alastor exclaimed, his voice still perfectly audible. "Well, I've found some news to report and I was wondering if you and your friend would like to help me with spreading the information."
F/n looked at you and squealed, then turned back to the phone. "Yes of course," they said. "We'd love to. Come over when? Oh, yeah, we can make that. Ok, ok. Bye!!"
"So, do we have a deal?" you asked, grinning.
"You know it! His house isn't actually that far from here," f/n said.
"So when do we leave?" you asked. F/n took your hand.
"Now!"
~time skip, lovelies~
F/n was grinning from ear to ear as the two of you arrived at the suburban neighborhood where Alastor lived.
"LOOK!" they practically screamed. "There's his house!"
"Calm down," you laughed as the two of you walked up to his door.
"Do you wanna knock, or should I?" f/n asked.
"You," you said. "You're the one getting so hyped about this."
F/n laughed.
"Okay then."
Knock. Knock.
The door creaked open and Alastor greeted the two of you with his signature grin.
"Hello, come right in, I just got a fresh pot of tea going!" Alastor ushered you too into the house, and you and f/n exchanged a grin.
"So, do we have a script or something, or do we just talk?" f/n asked.
"Just talk, my dears," Alastor said cheerily. "I'll bring up a topic and you two can discuss what you think, just say whatever comes to mind."
You nodded, and f/n bounced on the balls of their feet.
"It's 3:25 right now, so the radio show starts in 5 minutes," Alastor continued. "So feel free to get yourself comfortable."
He gestured to a small space with cushy chairs and a pair of microphones.
F/n walked over without hesitation, and you sent a small smile to Alastor before you followed your friend.
"Well you're excited," you said.
"Gee, really?" f/n said excitedly. Meanwhile, Alastor's grin widened as he watched the two of you.
"Oh, it's time to start!" Alastor said as he sat down between you two.
F/n took a deep breath and you smiled. Alastor turned a dial and cleared his throat.
"Hello everyone, welcome back! Alastor back again, but this time I have two new friends with me! Everyone say hello to y/n and f/n!"
He played an applause track as you and your friend said your hellos.
"Well, I have some sad news to report," Alastor continued. "Unfortunately, the dead body of Alyssa Maywells was discovered at her home just last night. Co-hosts, your opinions?"
"I think it's terrible that someone could do that," you said honestly. "Killing someone for no reason just seems... ridiculous."
Alastor eyed you curiously.
"Yes, y/n, I agree. F/n?"
"I would like to share my sympathy for her family. To have your daughter dead overnight, with no motive or incentive seems, to me, one of the worst things to happen to a parent," f/n said, smiling sadly.
"Very good perspectives," Alastor said. The show continued with the three of you speaking about rumors, possible motives, and patterns. It was actually quite a fun way to spend the hour, despite the dark topic.
"Well, that's it for today!" Alastor concluded once he had turned off the mics. "It was lovely to chat with you and hear your perspectives."
You nodded.
"Maybe we could discuss serial killers more next time," you said. "I'd like to talk about it and spread awareness."
Alastor nodded, regarding you with a look you couldn't quite decipher.
"Sounds like a plan," he said.
As the two of you left, and f/n ranted to you nonstop about how much they loved it, neither of you realized the way Alastor's eyes narrowed, and the plan that was quickly forming in his mind.
You were special.
And he needed to have you.
