Charlie doesn't like to get messy, and definitely doesn't want to frighten you, so she doesn't let you see your family and friends, but she doesn't kill them. She knows that if you ever found out, if would break you.

If you isolated yourself, she'd be really nervous, but she'd let you be and give you food and water when you needed it.
