angel x fem! reader (one-sided)

This request was by eylulaydin14! Thanks for the request.

One-sided Angel x fem! Reader coming up literally right now.

Plot: Y/N is Valentino's daughter, and has time to talk with Angel between shoots. Kinda angsty lmao

This is not going against his sexuality in any way shape or form, it is purely one-sided.

Ps, of course Val would be a terrible dad. Don't even doubt it for a second. He'd probably not even know you existed, and not be very happy when he found out you did lol.

-

My father never cared about me all that much. Always busy working upstairs. I saw Dad maybe around three times a week, at best. I wasn't his fondest achievement.

And thought he never saw me, he let me wander where I wanted. It was...okay. I knew the Vee Tower like the back of my hand by now.

There was one room, however, that peaked my interest. It had a huge heart on the door and said 'Valentino's Studio' in big bold letters in the center.

I wasn't allowed in there, my second father-figure, Vox, told me tons of times. It was something I wouldn't like to see.

I didn't know what he was hiding. I'm old enough to know what he does for a living, why couldn't I go into the room?

Whatever. I told myself every time I passed the door.

But one day, curiousity killed the cat, and I was about to open the door.

Hands reaching out to grab the golden handle, twisting it left, I was about to pull towards myself.

But something stopped me. My father, standing at least a couple feet higher than me, emerged.

Valentino scowled down at me a little, squinting. "Y/N? I thought Vox told you not to come in here."

"I just wanted to see what was happening in there that was so important you had to hide it." I retorted firmly, standing my ground.

"I told you no. So you listen. Got it?" He leaned forwards, blowing a small puff of smoke into my face.

"Fine, Dad."

"What did I say about calling me your dad? We don't talk like that, okay?" Valentino hissed lightly, his voice squeaking like a moth.

"Fine, Val."

As my father stalked down the hall, leaving me there, I peered into the room before the door fully shut.

A frilly pink bed was in the center, surrounded by purple tinted lights and regular lights everywhere.

And on the bed, covered with a pink fluffy robe, was none other than Angel Dust.

I let out a shocked squeak. I'd never seen this part of the Vee Tower, let alone a celebrity inside it. I only knew about him from Velvette and Vox.

The spider's head flicked upwards. "Who's there? Val?"

"No- no. I'm not Valentino-" I took a step into the room, waving awkwardly at him. "Just...his daughter."

"Fuck. Val has a kid? He didn't tell me that shit-" Angel blinked at me, taking the bottom of the blanket on the bed and covering himself more.

"You probably shouldnt be in here...um-" Angel seemed unnaturally awkward. "Fuck, I did not expect this."

"I know what Val does. It's not a shock." I responded quickly, trying to buy more time to talk to him.

"I...expected that. What's your name?" Angel asked, tilting his head. His fluffy hair flipped to one side of his face.

"Y/N." I told him nonchalantly. "I already know who you are."

Angel's expression widened, as if I'd said something wrong.

"Not- Not from your...um- films. From Dad. He talks a lot about you, y'know. And the other Vees." I stuttered.

Angel's eyes darkened. "I'm sure they do. Listen, I gotta get to another shoot." He stood upright, towering above me.

Pushing past me, Angel lightly shoved me to the side and rushed down the halls.

Weird.

I hurried away, confused and dazed by the strange interaction. He was very...quiet. Reserved, jumpy, and most of all, scared.

Not like Vox or Velvette described him to me.

Nothing like it at all.

-

As I found myself wandering the halls once more, a week or two later, I was pushed to the side as a crowd of bustling workers followed Valentino, carrying set lights, cameras, and microphones.

Val paused, squinting at me. Everyone else stopped behind him. "You. Tell Vox to keep an eye on you. I have to go out to film this shoot."

I just nodded absentmindedly, my gaze focused on who lay behind Val.

Angel's eyes met mine and I felt a little spark. Blinking the thought away, I simply walked away.

As Val left, dragging Angel along with him, the hall became empty and silent again.

I squealed lightly, running towards the elevator. As I pushed the button, and the doors opened, all I could think of was Angel.

Kicking my legs into the air, I giggled into my pillow. My room was silence other than the childish giggling and laughing.

"A spark! I felt a spark!"

Then it dawned on me.

Isn't Angel gay?

Shit.

-

Weeks after weeks went by, and we became better and better friends. I learned about this thing called the Hazbin Hotel. Somewhere he lived in the meantime, apparently to get away from Valentino.

Angel also told me about someone named Husk. Wasn't really sure who that was, but Angel seemed fond of them.

The crush grew stronger and stronger. It wasn't even just a light, simple crush. It was full-on fangirling.

One day, I had to break the news.

"And then I said, 'let go of me, you bitch!', and he didn't! And then he-" Angel paused his story as he noticed my odd expression.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Uhm- I think I have a crush on you." I blurted slowly.

Angel's eyes softened. "Sorry, toots. Y'know I'm gay, right? I love you too, as a friend."

Heartbreak hit me like a brick, but it felt good. At least I got that over with.

"I know." I sighed. "We can still be friends?"

A snorting laugh sounded. "You know it."
