Hayley's POV:

"We have a problem." Rebekah states with worry in her voice.

"What is it?" Soph questions.

We're still on the search for Kai, it's been thirty minutes ever since Soph worked her magic and we ended up outside in the middle of the woods - finding dead bodies surrounding our feet.

"We might've just found Kai... and I think he has Damon." Rebekah explains to us.

I glance at Soph to see that she rolls her eyes, "How much longer before someone has to get hurt just from finding this guy?!"

Rebekah sighs, "I don't know. In the meantime let's just make our way to Mystic Falls."

"Actually people have already gotten hurt by Kai, Soph." I catch on to Sophie's pout.

In return she doesn't say anything. Instead, she lets out a deep breath.

We've finally arrived in Mystic Falls, Virginia to look for Kai - adding Damon onto the list as well.

"I tried calling his cell again, he didn't pick up." Rebekah exclaims, shoving her phone back into her jean pocket.

"Should we split up?" Soph asks.

"No, we should stick together." I suggest, walking side by side with Rebekah and Soph as we're walking through the town square.

Suddenly Rebekah's phone rings and she pulls it out her pocket to pick it up, "Hello?"

I eavesdrop into the conversation -luckily I'm a supernatural being-

"Rebekah! How's the search going?" A familiar deep, intimidating voice-- Kai?

My mouth drops from hearing the sound of his voice again. Rebekah glances at me in notice that I'm listening.

She narrows her eyebrows, "Is this Kai?"

"Ding ding ding! Corrrrect!" He jokes humorlessly.

"What have you done to Damon..." Rebekah reveals the anger screeching through her voice.

"Your little boy toy is just fine, but besides that I'm gonna need you to meet up with me at 2104 Floyd Street. Oh, and I hope you don't mind I took your boyfriend's phone to make my call." He sounds so calm and confidence spills once he invited Rebekah to meet with him.

"Wait, make that all of you: you, your little witch, and the girl I want - Hayley. Meet me there!" Kai ends the call.

Okay, make that all of us.

"What is it that he wants from me?!" I blurt and wonder to myself.

Without an answer that I wasn't too much listening for, we find our way to Floyd Street.

"2100," Soph counts to herself as we walk past the house addressed 2100.

"2102," Soph continues. 

"Well hello there, I didn't actually think you'd come," Kai appears behind us with a smirk.

"Give us Damon." Rebekah demands without a doubt.

Kai motions his pointer finger side to side signaling a 'no'.

"Actually, I was thinking we make ourselves a deal - a trade."

"Just give is Damon, Kai." I say from behind Rebekah since she stepped in front of me the moment she saw Kai.

He glances at me and cracks a smile.

"Hayley," he breathes.

"We're not trading," Sophie blurts, causing whatever look or emotion Kai was having to drop and he glares at her.

"You haven't even heard my deal yet, witch." He glares at Soph, an intimidating glow in his eyes.

"What is it? Your deal..." I shout considering he's standing a few feet away in front of us.

"You."

I furrow my eyebrows, confused.

"I'll trade you Damon, for Hayley." He offers.

"You're bloody joking!" Rebekah takes another step closer towards him, balling her fists.

"No?" Kai questions, showing an upset look.

In an instant he rushes to Soph and quickly takes his hand to dismember her head from her body - she falls breathless onto the street we're on.

A gasp escapes my lips as I watched the split second Soph instantly died.

Rebekah's jaw drops from the sight and I see fire in her eyes.

He just killed Sophie.

And he won't take no for answer - he'll return Damon to Rebekah, if only he gets me in return.

I now know that nobody I've ever met has been more cruel, and barbaric and brutal than Kai.

"Now you know; nobody messes with Kai Parker." He says roughly as Soph's blood slowy drips from his hand.

My eyes peel from the sight of Sophie's dead body to Kai glaring at Rebekah.

Just when I see Rebekah about to make a move I stop her, gaining the attention.

"Stop...

Take me," I glance at Rebekah, "I'll be okay."

Rebekah sends me a glare, "No, no Hayley that's not happening."

"I'll go, only if you really return Damon to her." I deal with Kai.

He smiles widely, "Okay. A deal it is..."

He begins to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Rebekah calls out.

"You want Damon don't you?" He shouts, going up to a black car that neither me and Rebekah have noticed before - although it is late at night and that car's black - don't call us blind.

He gently pulls out Damon who seems to be overdosed with vervain - vampires' very own poison.

Rebekah instantly runs up to him as he groans getting out of the car, appearing to be extremely weak.

She catches him in her arms, "You gave him vervain?"

"Yes. I hope that's not a problem," Kai admits.

What a jerk.

"It's okay baby," I hear Rebekah whisper to Damon as he groans in pain.

Watching the two I feel a grip on my arm and I quickly glance to see Kai standing beside me.

I scoff in reflex and shoot him a glare, taking a step back when I remember our deal.

"Are you ready?" He says softly.

I nod in hesitation and look at Rebekah once more as she tries to comfort Damon.

She glances at me and tenses, "Hayley, you don't have to..."

I stare at her - no words - instead I watch as her eyes begin to water.

She nods, "I'm coming back for you," she promises.

She drains in thought for a moment, it looks as if she was just hit with a ton of bricks whatever just appeared in her mind.

"Klaus," Her watering eyes gaze at me - and then it hit me.

Klaus.

I feel a tear streaming down my cheek when I think of him.

"When he wakes..." Rebekah pauses in thought.

"I'll be gone." I finish for her.

Kai grips my arm harder signaling for me to come with him.

"Can you tell him..." I shout, my voice cracking from the tears beginning to pour as Kai pulls my arm back - taking me.

I see Rebekah nod before Kai takes me out of her sight - as my vision turns into a blur, again.
