Turning on the hot water from the shower, I begin removing my clothes to get cleaned up.

I look in the mirror above the bathroom sink to see a couple of bruises that Kai left of me.

"They're not healing," I state softly to myself, placing my left hand onto a bruise on my collarbone.

"Everything just felt utterly incomprehensible." I tell Klaus as he asks me how I coped with Kai.

"Did he," Klaus clears his throat, "Did he hurt you?"

I nod in return and he promises, "I will never let anyone hurt you again."

He comforts me in a amorous hug. "I saw you..." He whispers.

I furrow my eyebrows and realize he can't see my state of confusion from our hug.

"What do you mean?"

"The wolf, love. That was me." He says softly and my eyes widen in remembrance of the gray wolf.

I pull gently from our hug and look him in his eyes, "The gray wolf watching over me-- that was you?" I question quickly.

"Yes," He chuckles, "I told Rebekah I would never leave you behind. I searched for days... I informed Elijah that I would not return home until I found you. When I saw you standing there outside, I had to wait for the right time - to kill Kai and get you out of there.

Elijah called Marcellus to come get me, I refused to leave. But I intended on it and--"

"Klaus," I interject him and stand in stunned silence.

I pull him in for a tight amorous hug and smile, "You gave me hope, Klaus." I whisper.

He tightens our embrace, "Thanksgiving's coming soon." He tells me as his hands are now on either side of my hips.

"This will be our first holiday together." He grins.

I smirk, "I can't wait," I lean in to capture his soft lips in a kiss.
