Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

she was a woman of the book 

so she obeyed.

seeing the weak

a girl

on the steps

bulging stomach 

and maternity dress.

no-one used to know her

not until she got naked

and her body was 

on display.

That is until

the condom didn't work and she was 

left with another being inside of her,

with rights upon her before they were even born.

but the new mother was not unkind

so 

the muslimah

sat next to her on the bench

pulling out the scarf  tied around her own neck 

and covering the cowering

mother 

with it.

soothing her

with a gentle voice

'oh my sister

who has lost her way,

repent and all shall be forgiven'

And the girl broke into

tears.

Indeed Allah forgives all except shirk
