They Were.

but she wanted to know 

why mommy 

was crying

when she woke for Fajr to make wudhu

and why 

mommy

was crying

at Maghrib time

and Isha.

-just before she went to sleep-

And daddy...

Daddy was a different story.

-apart from always being frustrated-

he thought 

something was wrong 

with the women in

his life.

What had these women done to deserve such hate?

nothing.

What had they ever done wrong?

nothing.

Yet the scholars would preach 

The Best Of You Declares His Love Ya Akhi!

-the best of you

declares his love-

But he didn't.

The Prophet said:

(My Allah Be Pleased With Him)

'Treat Your Wife With Love And Compassion

Even If You Dislike Her'

but that wasn't the case.

so mother and daughter would reside to their bedrooms

dreading when

the man of the house

would arrive home.

but she preferred not to think of that

instead

she raised her hand

to make dua'a

even in the darkest of days.
