SYNOPSIS
Finding out the answers to her past, was not the soul freeing event Madalyn had expected it to be. In fact, she felt more lost and confused than ever. The only thing helping her keep sane? Love of her existence, Dick Grayson.
Ever since coming back into each others lives two months ago, Dick never let her out of his sight long enough for her to even contemplate an escape plan. He'd made everyday more enticing than the last, making it impossible for her to even spare a thought for leaving him again. She hadn't planned on sneaking away since that day she woke up in the infirmary to a terrified and insistent Dick, but she didn't intend on telling him that. Their need for each other was what kept her mind straight when her thoughts began to sway and she would cling on to that for as long as he wanted her.
But like they say; nothing lasts forever.
Roman is still very much alive, though not well, pointedly making appearances in her dreams so she'll never forget him. His strength, despite his health, was still his mind games and he consistently played them on his sleeping sister... until she stops sleeping, that is.
Reality by nature is what you're willing to accept and believe it to be. If you're bombarded enough with certain images or information, whether you want to or not, you eventually begin to accept them as truths. When you can't trust what you think is true, you can't trust anything.
Or anyone.
Not even the man you love.
So why is it that, through all the madness swirling inside her, she finds herself trusting a complete stranger?
With an enemy like her brother, Madalyn Addams really didn't need anymore. Roman, on the other hand, needs all the help he can get before it's all over.
