PREPARE YOURSELVES CHILDREN AHHH

~Aurora's Pov~

We've been here for a few days, Kaleb decided to stay here too. We wanted to leave but some guys brought in Carol, They said she was in a car accident and we were just waiting for her to wake up. "You were right, I hate this place.." I said stealing some food from Kaleb's plate. "I told you," he said drinking some water. We were having lunch right now. "I tried leavin'.." Beth said, We looked over to her. "With Noah, but I got caught." She said looking at me. I nodded a bit, "We should try leaving.. When Carol wakes up, we'll pack some stuff and leave. All of us." I said holding her hand then looking over at Kaleb too.

He nodded, "Together," Beth said looking at us too. I smiled a bit looking at her, She looked around then back at me. "I have Dawn's key, I gave her something to help her wake up. She should be okay to leave in a few days. We should start plannin'." She said softly. I nodded and looked over at Kaleb. "I'll start looking into it.." He said softly, careful so we wouldn't be heard by the others.

~The next day~

Beth and I were getting ready, Dawn just told us that my dad and a few others from our group were coming here. They took some officers and they were making a trade. The officers for Beth, Carol and I. I walked over to Beth's room, She smiled softly at me. "You ready?" I asked returning the smile. She nodded. "Are you?" she asked. I nodded too and held my hands together. "We're gonna be together again," She said with a wider smile, I smiled wider too.

"They're ready," We looked over to see Dr. Edwards with Carol in a wheelchair. Beth took over and she was the one pushing Carol now. We made our way down the hall and we saw all the officers here, I looked at Kaleb and he gave me the smallest nod. I returned it and the doors opened to reveal 2 more officers walking our way, behind them i saw my dad, Sasha, Tyreese, Daryl and i'm assuming Noah. Dad and Daryl were holding two other officers.

"Daddy." I whispered to myself, looking at him. The look in his eyes changed as soon as his eyes locked with mine. My heart started racing as I looked at him, I felt tears well up in my eyes. He gave me a small smile and a nod, I returned it. Letting him know I was okay. He looked away from me and over to Dawn. "They haven't been harmed." Dad said, "Where's Lamson?" She asked looking at him. "Rotters got him." "We saw it go down." The two officers said.

My dad's beard was long now, I was relieved to see they were all okay.. "Oh.. I'm sorry to hear that. He was one of the good guys.. One of yours for one of mine." She said. Dad nodded and looked at me. One of the officers grabbed Carol's bag, "No- Aurora first. Rora first." Bath said, grabbing Caro's bag from the officer. Dawn looked at him and nodded. He grabbed my arm and I pulled away from him. "I can walk." I said. We walked over and Daryl held his arm out towards me. I smiled and hugged him, He hugged me back. "You alright?" He asked as we walked over to my dad and the rest.

I nodded, "Yeah." I said looking at him. He nodded too and let me go. I ran the small distance to my dad and hugged him. He hugged me back quickly. "Oh thank god.." He whispered closing his eyes, holding me close to him. I did the same and started crying against his shoulder quietly, relieved to be with him again. "Daddy." He put his hand on the back of my head and kissed it. He pulled me away and smiled, putting his hands on my cheeks. I smiled at him too, we both had tears in our eyes. Sasha went for Carol, "Are you- real? Are you real?" he whispered as a tear fell. I smiled wider and wiped his tear away. "I'm real daddy." I giggled the slightest as a tear fell from my own eyes.

He was now concerned, I nodded as another tear fell from his eyes. "I'm okay." I whispered, the smile faded. He wiped my tears away and kissed my forehead, pulling me back into him. He closed his eyes holding me close. "Oh my baby.." He whispered holding me. I smiled again but just for a second. I closed my eyes and started crying again. He rubbed my back and kissed my head. "It's okay.. I'm right here." he whispered not letting me go.

As soon as we had Carol, Daryl went back for Beth until we were all back together. My dad pulled me away and put his hands on my cheeks, they shook slightly as he wiped my tears away. His eyes were filled with tears too. I closed my eyes and hugged him again not wanting him to let me go.

Beth walked over to us, dad put a hand on her shoulder. "Let's get out of here.." She said softly, "You alright?" Dad asked her. She nodded, He returned the nod and i pulled away looking at Beth.

"I'm glad we could work things out." Dawn spoke, "Yeah." Dad said and wrapped his arm around me, we started walking away from them, "Now I just need Noah.. And then you can leave." Dawn said. Beth and I let go as we all stopped walking. She turned back to her, my dad and I did too but he didn't let me go. "That wasn't part of the deal." Dad said letting me go. He walked back to her. "Noah was my ward. Beth took his place and i'm losing her, so i need him back." She said looking at my dad. I took a step, heading back towards my dad but I felt a hand on my arm, I looked back to see Daryl.

He shook his head and guided me to the back with Beth. "Ma'am, please it's not-" "Shepherd!" Dawn snapped back at her, not breaking eye contact with my dad. I looked at them. "My officers put their lives on the line to find him. One of them died." Dawn said looking at him. "Nah, he ain't stayin'." Daryl said pushing Noah back to us too. "He's one of mine. You have no claim on him." Dawn said as Daryl headed back to the front with my dad.

"The boy wants to go home, so you have no claim on him." Dad said looking at her. "Well then we don't have a deal." Dawn said shaking her head. I walked back to my dad and held his hand again. He held my hand back. "The deal is done." Dad said looking at her mad. I didn't let go of his hand, "It's okay." Noah said walking over to us. "No. No." Dad said looking back at Noah as he walked over to us. "I gotta do it." He said looking at my dad.

"It's not okay." Beth said, I looked back at her then at Noah, He handed me his gun and I took it. "It's settled." Dawn said as Noah made his way back to the rest. "Wait!" Beth went up to Noah and hugged him. He hugged her back and smiled,  "It's okay.." He said softly. "I knew you'd be back." Dawn said to Noah. Beth let him go and walked up to Dawn. "I get it now." she said, I saw her slide a pair of scissors out of her cast and she stabbed Dawn's shoulder with them.

Suddenly, a gunshot went off. I felt splatter on my face and I let go of my dad's hand, bringing my hand up to my face, wiping the splatter off. I looked down at my hand to see red on my fingers. I looked up quickly seeing Beth's body drop to the floor and my mind clicked, realizing what just happened. I felt a pressure on my chest looking at Beth's body on the floor.

Dawn shot her in the head.

I screamed, immediately crying. I took the safety off Noah's gun and pointed it at Dawn, Pulling the trigger as I cried, another gunshot went off at the same time and Dawn dropped too. I felt arms around me from behind, holding my arms down. "No!" I cried trying to pull away. "Aurora!- Rora!-" My dad tightened his grip on me so i wouldn't be able to do anything else. "Beth!" I cried looking at her body on the floor. "No! Hold your fire!" Another woman called out over my cries. "Beth!" I repeated looking at her. A blood puddle started growing beneath her head

"It's over! It was just about her." Shepherd said, stopping them. "No! Let me go! Daddy! Let me go! Please!" I cried, slipping slightly. He came down to the floor with me, holding me close to him as I cried. "Stand down." Shepherd commanded the other officers. "Beth!" I dropped the gun and grabbed my dad's arms, not taking my eyes off of Beth. Everyone stayed silent except for me. I kept crying in shock and heartbroken. My dad kept holding me close to him, tight. Not wanting to let me go.

"You can stay.." "We're surviving here." "It's better than out there.." They officers spoke out, breaking their silence. "Go to hell!" I cried looking at them. "No." Dad spoke out still holding me against him. His voice cracking slightly. I looked back down to Beth again, all I saw was the back of her head and the blood puddle growing. "And I'm taking anyone back there who wants to leave. If you want to come with us... Just step forward now." Dad offered as a tear fell from his eyes. I looked up, straight to Kaleb.

He kept looking at me with glossy eyes. He looked at Beth's body on the floor then back at me. He shook his head. I shook my head too. "Please." I cried. "Ro.." "Please." I repeated. He shook his head then stepped up. He walked towards us and went straight to the back, standing with us. "Cmon.." Dad said and picked me up, I couldn't stop crying. Daryl walked forward and picked up Beth from the floor, in tears himself. "Don't look- don't look sweetheart." Dad pulled me into him, putting a hand behind my head, keeping me from looking at Beth's body. I hugged him back as I continued to cry. He held me close to him and pulled me away, we started walking out of the building.
