Have you ever wondered what is in the Quran? All we know is , it's One of the Holy book of 6236 verses revealed to the last prophet of this world, Muhamad (Peace and blessings be upon him) just like Tawrat (Torah or the Law) revealed to Musa (Moses), the Zabur (Psalms) revealed to Dawud (David), the Injil (the Gospel) revealed to Isa (Jesus).

Who is the author of Quran? Prophet Muhamad(PBUH)?

No, When I mentioned that Quran was revealed to the final prophet instead it was written by the Prophet, then it is confirmed that someone assisted him. Then who is that someone?

The account of the first Revelation that Prophet Muhamad (PBUH) received in Cave Hira was narrated as follows:

"The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied 'I do not know how to read'. The Prophet added, 'The angel caught me (forcibly) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, "I do not know how to read". Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read" (or what shall I read?). Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said: "Read, in the name of Your Lord, who created, created man from a clot. Read! And Your Lord is the most bountiful... (Al Quran(96- 1 to 5))" (Bukhari)

The Quran was sent to a illiterate Prophet Muhamad (PBUH) in 609 C.E/AD in the form of sound by the one true God through an angel Jibrael (Gabrael). When he didn't even know how to read the Arabic words, then how can he able to write on his own? Then the author of Quran is a not an ordinary man. And the angel Jibrael was from the one true God, the Almighty.

The above Hadith(sayings of Prophet Muhamad(PBUH)) shows us how the prophet Muhamad got the first five verses of the 96th chapter of Al-Quran. This verses got written in his heart and he conveyed this message initially to his wife Khadeeja after experiencing a great shock with what he had seen in the cave. She is the first one to believe what Muhamad experienced is true. Likewise, Prophet Muhamad(PBUH) got all the verses of the Quran in various circumstances of his Life (till 622 AD). If you are math genius, calculate the period of Revelation from 609 A.D to 622 A.D. The answer will be 23 years, Right?

The Quran was revealed to the prophet Muhamad(PBUH) from the one true God through Jibrael in this 23 whole years. The intro part for Quran is over I guess...
