"Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?" (Al-Quran 21:30)

This verse makes a few clear statements:

~The heavens and the Earth (ie: the cosmos), while differentiated now, were once a joined entity, described as ratqan (رَتۡقًا) in Arabic

~The heavens and the Earth were separated(fafataqnahuma) from their state of being ratq.

~Water is the source of all life.

Here the first two statement talks about Big Bang and the expansion of Universe and the third statement tells the essential need of water in Earth.

1. Big Bang and the expansion of Universe.

And the Quran also talks about expansion of Universe in the following verse,

"And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its]expander."(Al-Quran 51:47)

Scientific Proof:

Just over 100 years ago, luminaries such as Einstein, along with almost the entire scientific world, believed that the universe did not have a beginning. It was static — it always was and always will be. But Einstein's own Theory of General Relativity changed that. When physicists looked at the equations governing its applications, they realised that the universe should be expanding. Like a balloon being blown up, if you rewind the clock, you realise that an expanding universe should have started from an initial much smaller point of origin.

2. Water is a source of Life.

And the Quran also talks about expansion of Universe in the following verses

"Allah has created every [living] creature from water.And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent." (Al Quran 24: 45)

"And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by]lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]." (Al Quran 25: 54)

Scientific Proof:

Water is an important source of life on earth and about 71 percent of the surface of the earth is water. Every living organism on earth contains 50% to 90% of water in their body. And the largest membrane in the every living cell is Cytoplasm that contains 80% of water content in it.

The fact that living things consist mostly of water was discovered only after the invention of the microscope. In the deserts of Arabia, the last thing someone would have guessed is that all life came from water.

Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.(Al-Quran 30:24).
