The Clown
I hate clowns. In fact, I really hate clowns. I actually used to like clowns. Well, I didn't mind them, at least. That was before my encounter I had with one.
Here's my story...
I was visiting Party City last October, looking for Halloween decorations. I then found this really creepy-looking hanging clown decoration. It looked as if every evil clown you could think of was fused into one. It was the only one in the entire store. I knew this would look great in the front yard!
I went up to the cash register to buy it. The cashier examined clown for a few seconds. "Strange. I don't remember ever seeing this in stock before." she said, confused. I then pointed out that it had a price tag attached. So, she scanned it. The price was $10.50. Not bad. I paid, and brought it home with me. I should've bought something else instead.
As soon as I got home, I hung the clown from a tree in my front yard. It really helped add a spooky atmosphere to my property, along with all my other decorations. Satisfied, I went inside my house to watch TV.
About 20 minutes later, I heard what sounded like a laugh come from outside. Nervously, I peeked through the front window. All my decorations were trashed! I went outside to see if I could catch whoever did it. No one could be found. However, I noticed that the only decoration that wasn't damaged was the clown.
I grabbed it and stuffed it in the attic. Hoping to keep him safe for the future. He was a good prop, and I didn't want that vandal to get a hold of him.
That night, I was woken up by someone laughing directly in my ear! I was shot awake. All I saw, where someone should've been, was the clown. It wasn't possible! How could he have gotten downstairs?
Then, I decided to just throw him away. Something wasn't right with that clown. I felt a great relief as I did that. I wouldn't have to deal with him anymore......or so I thought.
To my dismay, the clown returned every single night since then! I've lost so much sleep because of him! I even destroyed him once, and he still came back! Unfortunately, I'll probably have to deal with that clown for the rest of my life, which; fortunately, won't be much longer...
