Chapter 8
Even though Tim loved being around Adam, the conversation between Adam and his friends soon bored him. He decided to go see what the younger spirit was up to. He actually felt bad about destroying Austin's box that played music.
"I'm going to see what Austin's doing." He whispers to the blonde. "I promise to keep it down."
Adam gives a slight nod as he continues to talk to his friends.
"Oops. Sorry." Tim chuckles as he steps on the creaky step causing the others to look around at the staircase.
"Now, what were you saying?" Adam smiles as he turns his attention back to Chance.
Tim quietly walks up to Austin's room and peeks in. Austin was laying across the bed on his stomach as he watched a movie.
"Watcha doing?" Tim asks innocently as he walks into the room.
"Watching a movie. You gonna break my television too?" Austin asks, never taking his eyes off the screen.
"No." Tim says as he hangs his head in guilt. "Sorry, about that."
"I guess I did have it pretty loud." Austin says with a shrug. "Did the blonde's friends run you off?"
"They were talking about something that I had no earthly idea what they were talking about." Tim sighs as he sits down next to Austin on the bed. "A Dork Vader or something like that."
"Darth Vader." Austin chuckles.
"Yeah, maybe that was it." Tim says as he sees cowboys on the front of the box they called a tv. "What are you watching?"
"Tombstone." Austin says with a slight smirk.
"Really? I've been there." Tim says as he gets interested in watching the movie. "Who is that?"
"Wyatt Earp." Austin answers.
"That's not Wyatt. He looked nothing like that." Tim says with a confused look on his face.
"Actually that's an actor, Kurt Russell. He's portraying Wyatt Earp. Wait a minute..." Austin says as he pauses the movie. "You met Wyatt Earp?"
"Mhmm." Tim answers with a nod as if it were no big deal. "Doc Holiday too. Morgan and Virgil. They were all pretty cool as you would say."
"Wow! That's awesome." Austin says with a huge smile.
"My dad had a buyer in Tombstone and needed help herding the cattle there. So I volunteered to help." Tim explains. "They were cool guys but you definitely didn't want to piss them off."
"So cool." Austin says as he starts the movie.
"Man, that brings back some good memories." Tim says as he sees the town of Tombstone on the screen. "Who's that?"
"That's Val Kilmer, he's Doc Holiday." Austin answers.
"Pfft, Doc never looked that good." Tim chuckles as he lays down across the bed and gets comfortable.
"Geez." Austin laughs and shakes his head.
Adam says goodbye to his friends and decides to go see what the spirits were up to. They had been way too quiet. It was actually making him a little nervous.
"If Billy the Kid looked that good I would have looked him up." Tim was saying as Adam peeks into the room.
Both spirits were laid across the bed as they watched the movie.
"Will you just watch the movie and stop drooling over the actors." Austin laughs.
"Have you ever seen pictures of Billy the Kid? That boy was butt ugly." Tim says causing Austin to laugh even louder.
Adam smiles. It was good to see the spirits actually getting along.
"That's Emilio Estevez." Austin says.
"D*mn he's cute." Tim smiles.
Austin glances around to see Adam standing in the doorway with his head down. He had a sad or somewhat disappointed look on his face.
"So. If you had your choice between the guy on tv or Adam, who would you chose?" Austin asks with a cocky smirk.
"There's no comparison, I'd chose Adam, hands down. The man is gorgeous." Tim says. "But I have just as much of a chance with Emilio Estevez as I would with Adam."
"Why do you say that? He's attracted to you." Austin says with a puzzled look on his face.
"Uh, maybe because I'm dead." Tim says. "Adam needs someone that's actually breathing."
"You mean to tell me that if Adam pulled you into his bedroom and wanted to make passionate love to you that you wouldn't do it?" Austin asks as he sits up in the bed.
"Well, hell yeah, I'd do it. I'd be stupid as hell to turn him down." Tim says with a slight chuckle.
Adam takes a deep breath before walking into the room.
"I was wondering where you guys slipped off to." Adam says with a smile.
"Just showing the old-timer what modern-day cowboys look like." Austin chuckles as he continues to watch the movie.
"Care to join us?" Tim asks as he smiles sweetly up at the blonde.
"Sure." Adam says as he crawls onto the bed and lays down on his stomach next to Tim. "Is this 'Young Guns'?"
"Yeah." Austin nods.
"The modern-day cowboys are a lot more pleasing to the eyes than the ones I remember." Tim chuckles softly.
"The ones you remember didn't have a makeup artist following them around to redo their makeup after each scene." Adam smiles.
"No, they were smelly and dirty." Tim says.
"I can't imagine you being smelly and dirty." Adam chuckles.
"I knew what soap and water were for." Tim says with a smirk. "But when you're on a cattle drive, you don't have the luxury of taking a bath. So, yeah, you get dirty and smelly."
"Unless you were a Cartright." Austin laughs.
"That's true. They always were clean and never a speck of dust on their clothes." Adam nods and laughs.
"I don't understand what you're talking about." Tim says as he looks at Austin and then to Adam.
"It's a tv show called Bonanza. You'll have to check it out sometime." Austin says.
They fall into a comfortable silence as they watch the movie.
Adam's eyes were glued to the screen but his mind was not on the movie. He thought about what Tim had said about not having a chance. What would it be like to have sex with this good-looking spirit laying next to him? What if they did have sex and then he ended up actually meeting someone? What would that do to Tim? Why did he feel a bit of jealousy toward Emilio Estevez?
"You gettin tired?" Tim asks as he softly as he lays his head on Adam's head.
Adam realizes that while he was deep in thought that he had laid his head over on Tim's shoulder.
"What? Oh, uh.... Sorry." Adam mumbles as he raises his head. "I was just deep in thought I guess."
"Trust me, I didn't mind at all." Tim says as his eyes meet the blonde's.
"If you two are going to start getting cuddly, you can just go to your room." Austin states as he flips through the channels for something to watch.
"Sounds go to me." Tim smiles at Adam.
"Me too." Adam replies with a giggle.
"Really?" Tim asks. Adam's reply took him by total surprise.
"Really." Adam says as he gets up from the bed and holds his hand down to Tim.
Tim looks around at Austin with a shocked look on his face.
"What the hell are you waiting for?" Austin chuckles.
Tim quickly scrabbles from the bed. Adam takes him by the hand and leads him from Austin's bedroom.
Austin laughs and shakes his head as he reaches for some earphones.
"Looks like I might be needing these." He chuckles as he plugs the earphones into the tv. "Not having sex for over a hundred years? Things could get pretty noisy."
Adam walks into his room and turns around to face the brunette as he closes the door behind them. Adam suddenly grabs Tim and pushes him against the door, crashing his lips onto the lips of the unsuspecting ghost. For the second time since they've met.
Tim moans into the kiss as it gets even more passionate. This kiss lasting much longer than the first. He actually had time to respond.
Adam suddenly breaks the kiss as they stare into each other's eyes as Adam tries to catch his breath.
"I'm no Emilio Estevez. But will I do?" Adam asks softly.
