5.Morning
Thomas's (pov)
The next morning I awoke to my alarm, ringing at the ungodly hour of 7am. I slam my hand down on the alarm groaning as my back cracked when I attempt to get up. Though when I do manage it everything seems right. Perfect even, in my new home.
I hummed to the radio, which I managed to fix, as I made breakfast. Eggs and bacon with toasty toast. I laid them out on a flower decorated plate and placed said plate on the table. I sat myself down, the small square table pushed up against the wall separating the kitchen and living room. Before "I smell bacon!"
I nearly jumped out of my skin as Virgil emerged in the wall head sticking out of it directly above my plate. "Jeez! You almost gave me a heart attack." I said placing a hand on my chest. "Truly it wouldn't make a difference. Unless you don't have unfinished business then you'd just pass over." Logan stated, nose in a book and walking straight through the wall and table. "Unfinished business?" I asked though I got cut off as Patton waltzed in. "Now kiddos what did I say about walking through solid objects?" Patton asked rhetorically in his best parental voice. He himself coming through the already open door. "Don't do it because it could make guests sad and sad backwards is das, and das not good." They both said at the same time a monotonous ring in their voices. "Exactly!"
"Ooooooh, what's this? My living kiddo can cook?" Patton asked sitting across from me. "I'm not your son. Yes I can cook." Patton smiles widely eyeing my food. "I wish I could still cook. It's been to long." He said in a dream like state as if remembering something. "Well your sitting in a chair, Logan's holding a book and Virgil's............what are you doing on the fridge?" "It's not a chair!" I look to Patton confused only for him to mutter 'long story'. I nod in understanding before Logan speaks up from his place leaning against the sink. "To answer your question Thomas we can touch things that we touched in our actual lives or things we were attached too. For example, this book I read 5 times in life and 3425 times in death." Damn.
Patton continued to talk about food and things he was interested in such as puppies and cats despite being allergic to cats, Logan read in silence and Virgil stared at a single spot on the wall from his place atop the fridge. A surprisingly peaceful morning. Until "Behold! My glorious self with my new glorious sword!" Roman burst through the wall to be met with Pattons stare and Virgil's soft snicker. "Where did you get a sword?" I asked bewildered. "I had it in life but I've been meaning to polish it and fix it up but I never used to clean for that was a peasants job but look! I finally have it! Isn't it glorious?" He asked practically speaking to the sword. Murmurs of agreement were heard throughout the room. Apart from Virgil who blew a raspberry at the prince. I looked down to my watch eyes widening as I saw the time. "Sorry guys uh ghosts but I gotta run. I got an audition and class to get too." "Audition/Class?!" Logan and Roman yelled at the same time. I nodded. "I'm a drama teacher that dabbles in performing, stories for later however. Bye guys!" I yell as I grab my coat. The last thing I hear?
A chorus of encouragement behind me.
