Virgil's (pov)
I could ask Roman...
I look down on my bed, Thomas there asleep. Since he took the bed I took the ceiling. I'm used to being up high in a sense. It's ironic. I'm actually scared of heights.
But nevertheless I float down and through the walls, a light coming from Logan's office as always and Roman's door wide open. He's never liked confined spaces. Probably something to do with his old mansion. I look into his room to see him staring out the window. The moon shining through showing off his slight ginger streaks. Man he would of gotten bullied like hell if he showed them off at my school.
"You just going to stare?" I flinched as he spoke though didn't turn around. "Oh uh sorry." He chuckled, turning around and leaning back on the window sill, elbows up and smug smile on his face. "You don't have to go. I get it. I'm gorgeous." I rolled my eyes. "Yea right ginger." His face turned to one of confusion. "Why is that a bad thing?" Damn. He has me there. "Well uh it..." How do I explain 90s bullies to a literal Disney prince?! "Because." I snapped, crossing my arms. He snickered once more. "Alrighty then purp man. So why are you here? Other than to state the obvious." Oh right! Unfinished business. "I was wondering if you knew anything about Patton? His unfinished business seems to have shook him and since I don't really remember anything I can't know... so I was hoping you did!" Congrats Virge. Shitty explanation there. He nodded solemnly, his eyes clearly going over what I said.
"I don't know much about Patton but unfinished business can be something of guilt or loss. So maybe he's embarrassed? 1930s you gotta remember were the Great Depression, which was basically his childhood, alongside that awful disease he died of and how he endured and survived war by the skin of his teeth. I'm sure he has a lot to think about." I leant against the doorframe, I mean everything Roman said was true. A lotta shit happened to him. Yet he managed to survive the Great Depression. Wonder how... "Why are you asking me this anyway? Not like I know why I'm here." I shrugged. "B-because you know about well you know? The uh~" "Homosexual thing?" I nodded. "Right. I mean if Patton was one of us and still is one of us wouldn't that mean what he saw was a guy? He never had a wife I know that." The prince made his way towards me, patting my shoulder and ruffling up my hair. "If he knows he'll be able to get out of here. We should be happy for him. Not digging in his past. Ok?" I sighed defeated.
"Ok..."
