"Am I talking to Holly Beckett? If so, I'm Smith, Harold Smith."

Silence.

It was a male voice I definitely not heard once, but I needed a second, to realize who it was.

'It's the same voice from back then!' It's definitely him!'
Standing up, I walked directly to the bathroom and closed the door behind me.

"Who are you and why are you calling me this late at night!?"

"I think, I already told you who I-"

"-I wasn't referring to that. You know exactly what I mean!."

Giving out a light chuckle, he continued talking "You're just like him. Tomorrow at 9 pm on the same alley you saw us the last time" He said and hung off leaving me standing there speechless.

"T-The same alley you saw us the last time?" I mumbled silently to myself, just now realizing that they saw me that night.

'But why weren't one of them showing any signs of unwanted guests around them?' and why didn't I noticed someone watching me? Why did they let me go like that after I saw some of them with guns?

Looking to my right, I saw myself in the mirror, having a blank facial expression. 'how did he got my number and how am I supposed to face them? Do they think I saw something that no one outside their clan should've seen? Should I tell Dwayne? Should I even go there?'

Shaking off my thoughts, I quietly walked back to the living room and took a quick glance at the clock. Right now was 3 am. In other words, 42 hours till the meeting.

I have to go. If I don't go there, they will be searching for me.

The next day, I woke up uncomfortably looking over to Dereck and Hans, both of them looking down at me. Not knowing what to do or what to say, I remained in my position until one of them loosed their temper to get me right out of my bed.

The Breakfast went by pretty fast and we said our goodbye's before I headed to my work. As usual, it felt like the clock stopped working and hours felt like weeks. Especially today, the time was taking its time to do its work.

'keep a cool mindset, don't think about it. At least now'

27 Hours till the meeting

"You smell like a good hot cup of tea. Whatareyouhiding?!"

"N-NOTHING" I accidentally said out loud and immediately looked away.
'C‘ome on find a good lie to get yourself out of his gaze! Otherwise the whole building will know, that I'm hiding something important‘
"There's a rumour saying, that you're going on vacation this weekend!" I told him and gave one of my best fake interested facial expression to him.

"Hmm-" he looked intensely into my eyes and turned back to his computer "you know what, there is something I want to show you". A minute or two passed by and suddenly a song startet to play out loud from Josh's computer.
"Hold on, let me put it on 00:48 minute"

And then, not only did the song play out loud no, Josh even startet singing it and pointing his fingers at me.

He then stopped the song by himself and continued talking."Nevermind" he coughed a little bit and sat back to his chair "You're looking like you're about to go somewhere important later on?"

"Do I really look that obvious?"

With my question being said, Josh gave me a bitchy look and continued to look back at his phone. "I'm actually once in my life not interested in what you're hiding. But don't tell anyone okay?"

"Yessir!" I happily said and turned back to my computer. The fact, that he didn't freaked out to find out what I was hiding was something I would've never even thought of but-
HOW DID I JUST NOT NOTICE THAT?? A JOSH WHO DOESN'T WANT HOT TEA FOR A GOSSIP???

"What happened!?" I immediately turned back around to him.

A second of silence until the bomb startet so explode

"What happened!? You really want to know what happened???"

I gave him a quick nod.

"Do you even know how it feels, when your dad doesn't allow you to go on vacation?? Hellooo? I'm your son and I'm working for you so you gotta keep an eye for my well being!!" He stomped over to my working space and took his chair with him.
"I wanted to go to the Bahamas but my Dad thinks it's a waste of money... SO WHAT? ITS MY VACATION NOT YOURS DAD!"

"Sooo, you actually wanted to go on vacation this weekend?"

"OF.COURSE. And for a fact I know, that you didn't knew about this because you're not talking to anyone in this building neither do the others try to talk to you. You're a pretty good-" he trailed off and took a deep breath in "why am I even trying to Compliment you, I am the one with a huge problem!"

"I-It's m-more serious than I thought-" I chuckled.

"-Oh hell yeah it is. I don't even have good friends to go there! Dammit-"

15 Hours till the meeting

It's 6am right now and I was getting ready to go off to work. Still dark outside, I walked down the streets and picked up my phone to call Dwayne.

Yesterday, he didn't came over since he had a lot to prepare for an important conference today.

"Good morning" he was breathing heavily.

"A morning run, huh?" I chuckled.

Silence.

"I just wanted to tell you to not come over tonight"

Silence.

And more silence.

"For what exact reason?"

"I have to do a lot of paperwork and it could take longer for me to finish it tonight"

"I will pick you up afterwards then." he insisted.

"You don't need to-"

"9 pm or 10 pm?"

"I don't know, I will call you when I'm finished" Holly come on try more??

'Are you going insane? he'll find out you're not going to stay longer at work! You know exactly it's just an excuse to keep him out of this. You're making it more obvious if you insist!'

Silence.

And I hung off.

1 Hour till the meeting

"Won't you come out with me?" Josh asked me.

"No, I still have a lot to do."

"It's been 12 hours of work and you still have paperwork to do? What happened? Is your boyfriend bad at doing his job down there?"

Showing him a confused facial expression, he put back his bag on the chair and pointed his finger to the secret zone.

"Your little kitten. You know, your v- don't tell me you don't know what I mean!"

Again showing him my confused face, he took back his bag and leaved the office with a "nevermind" mumbling down the hallway.

"Oh god" I sighed and leaned back to my chair. If I showed him any signs of understanding his thoughts, he would've came back to me asking me every details out. But wait- why does he know, that I have a Boyfriend?

I NEVER TOLD HIM THAT! And Dwayne never actually said, that we were boyfriend and girlfriend!

Slowly but surely the whole building started to get dark and silent. Not long after I was all alone waiting for the the right time to get out here.

Half an hour later, I packed my things and leaved the building. Outside I took a quick glance on my phone. It was 08:37pm.

Walking down the street in the night is pretty calming with the streetlights. But not today. My palms were getting wet and my overthinking mind startet to pull out every 'w' question ever existing. But still, I gave my best to not think about it. A cool mindset will bring me some good benefits in finding out what the real story behind is and every other detail I have to ask.

"If I was able to not think about it the whole time, I'm able to get through this!"

Suddenly my phone was ringing. Still walking further down the streets, I picked it up from my bag and quickly hung off.

'he will find out I'm outside if I pick up his phone call!'

Oh hell yes he will, and I will be dead faster than I could blink! Immediately unlocking my phone, I  messaged him.

I was still walking down the streets, looking down to my phone. I should've known better to keep an eye out, especially after knowing on having a meeting with 2 possible pretty dangerous people.

But at that second I was dumb. I was digging into things I shouldn't have hidden behind Dwayne. And I should've never distracted myself.

Independency makes you strong, but never unreachable.

At one second I felt an strong male hand with a little cloth around my mouth and nose. A sudden burn went down my throat.

The other second my body decided to go to sleep.

Right now I'm since roundabout 2 months a medical assistance and passed my last exams since!

I'm actually still really bad at expressing my own feelings so I'm gonna leave this like this:
