Johnny's P.O.V
I looked at the remaining of us, still sitting on the couch with a white sheet covering the fabric. All the couches in the barn seemed to be covered with one. I'm not surprised, considering some babies might be conceived or the amount of drinks that will most likely be spilled.
"Are we just gonna be lame and sit here the whole time?" I asked, having to raise my voice to fight the loud music.
Hana readjusted the gold wings on her back that matched the theme of her outfit. "I don't want to get up. I'm going to sit down as much as possible with this dress."
"Don't be so self-conscious about it," Jueun told her. "If you went out there in the crowd, every guy would be checking you out. You look great."
"I think that us staying and sitting on this couch together is fine," Jisung quickly added.
I leaned back against the couch. If Ten was here, he wouldn't have even giving me the chance to sit down. He would've taken my hands, pulling me with him toward the stage. That stupidly adorable grin plastered on his face. I could see it now, replaying in my head.
Was I just not good enough?
Not long after, his imagine wasn't only in my head. I snapped into a standing position, watching Ten walk up the stairs, Taeyong close being. Ten was wearing a cowboy outfit, while Taeyong was dressed as Jack Frost. I was suddenly thankful of my Willy Wonka costume because the sunglasses, hat, and face contour could help disguise me.
"Are you okay?" Mark asked me, giving my arm a tap.
I quickly shook my head. "I need to go downstairs."
Waiting for Ten and Taeyong to travel into the massive group of people, I creeped down the stairs.
The music was still completely audible from the first floor. A few people were scattered around. Most of them consisted of couples on the couches, mouths glued to each other. I huffed, looking for a place to sit away from the love birds.
In the opposite corner of the lower level, I saw G-Dragon sitting by himself. He was moving his finger gently around the rim of his red solo-cup. I started making my way over to him.
"The host shouldn't look this lonely for his party," I told him, sitting in the chair next to his.
A group of squealing girls burst of from the "haunted" maze not too far away. G-Dragon glanced their way, giving a small smile.
"That girl in the middle, Soomi," G-Dragon pointed out the girl, "she's been all over me tonight."
"Do you like her?"
G-Dragon shook his head, falling back against his chair. "She's a senior. Still in high school. Plus, I'm not into the prissy kind. I mean, I like me a bad girl, but not like that."
"So... are you single?" I didn't know why I felt a spark of hopefulness.
"It's complicated." G-Dragon let out a slow sigh, looking into his cup. "He showed up tonight. His name is Seungri... but I saw him dancing with this ladies. I just..." he shifted his position yet again to leaning forward towards me. "I thought he was my baby. My fucking cinnamon apple, you know?"
I let out a sad, breathy laugh, looking down at my hands. "I really relate to that. I caught my boyfriend kissing another guy."
G-Dragon gave my shoulder a hardy pat. "It looks like you could use a drink, my friend." He reached behind the chair to pull out a bottle of alcohol.
"No no no." I waved him off. "I don't drink."
"Nonsense." The cap gave off a loud pop as he opened it. Before handing the whole bottle over to me, he downed a quick swing. "Ahh, one of my favorites. I don't share this stuff with just anyone... Johnny, right?"
I gave a short nod, deciding to try it out. The flavor wasn't as bad as I thought. Definitely something that takes a required taste. It ran smoothly down my throat, leaving a slight burning sensation from it being the first time I've ever drank.
"So, do you want to hear a little more about this barn?" G-Dragon asked.
"Sure," I replied before taking another swig.
"This barn was built before my parents were even born. My great-grandmother owned it and her family farmed. You can tell by how the rooms are separated that they used to be stalls they kept animals in. Also, in the haunted maze there's a huge feeding trough full of creepy baby dolls. If you look up while on the second floor, you can see a conveyer-belt type thing, but it worked from animal power. They would attach a rope to horses and have them walk in a circle to move it. Anyway, it's along the ceiling and it moved bails of straw or hay to and from the second story without having to walk up and down the stairs.
"Well, my great-grandmother did a lot of babysitting. There was this little boy who was over while my great-grandfather was loading bails onto the mover. He wasn't paying attention when the kid climbed onto one of them. He continued up into the barn. Since the ceiling is so tall, the kid was absolutely terrified. The poor little guy ended up falling from the rafters, missing the stack of hay and landing straight onto the wooden floors. Everyone thought the kid was missing, until my great-grandfather went up to retrieve a bail of hay. That's when the little boy's body was found."
I held a hard stare towards G-Dragon, my eyes stretched to the size of saucers.
"Do you not like creepy stories?" he asked me.
"No, I'm fine with them... I just don't deal with ghosts." I hung my head, flashbacks of Jisung's birthday party when he was a freshman coming to mind.
"Trust me, you don't have to worry." G-Dragon tipped his cup back and let the rest of the liquids flow into his mouth. "I worked from dusk to dawn and even into the night when getting this place back into shape. I saw no ghost activity."
I met eyes with G-Dragon. They were starting to form a slightly pink and glazed look, giving away his intoxication.
(A/N): I hope you guys don't mind a lot perspective changes ><
