"Wh... What's wrong?" I asked Johnny. I could feel my brow furrowing and my chest starting to ache seeing Johnny in this state. His hair was disheveled and he just looked like he was in pain. I took a couple steps back to let him enter my house.

"Something happened." Johnny stepped in cautiously. He peeked around to see if anyone else was awake. A slight vibration was heard coming from his jacket pocket. Johnny pulled out his phone to reveal Ten's name on the screen. Johnny immediately ended the call, sending a pang of confusion and sorrow in my heart.

"My parents are asleep in the other room. We can talk in my room," I told Johnny as I started for the stairs. He quietly followed me up.

"Sorry for the mess," I apologized. A few things were scattered around my room that I quickly threw into my closet, closing the door.

Johnny walked in and scanned the walls. I started to close the door so we wouldn't wake Jisung, but left just a crack open.

"Now," I sighed, "what's up?"

Johnny sat down on the floor, resting his back against the wall. His eyes lingered on the screen on his phone. I sat down next to him, waiting patiently for him to answer. Johnny met my stare with his and I could get a closer look at the red and puffy look in his eyes.

"Hyunji," he started, "Ten cheated on me."

I gaped at Johnny from the shocking news. My hand slowly covered my mouth that was slightly hanging open. "Ten... really?"

"I got back to the dorm early to see him about to kiss this guy named Taeyong who attends the same college." Johnny directed his vision back down.

I rested a comforting hand on his shoulder and Johnny leaned his head back while closing his eyes. "It just hurts, you know? To see someone that you actually love, giving themselves to another person. He was going to kiss another guy when he's never even kissed me." Behind his closed eyes, a tear escaped. It rolled down his left cheek and dropped off the end of his chin.

"If Ten can't see how amazing of a guy you are, then screw him," I said, harshly.

Johnny moved his head from side to side. "I can't believe this how it ended." His eyes finally opened back up, but it caused a pool of tears to fall over. Our eyes met and he pulled his head away from the wall. "Why did I ever take you for granted back when you liked me? You're a really... incredible person."

My heart stung with grief.

"But you're with Haechan now, and you would never take me back."

Emotions of all kinds kept adding into my system and I was afraid I would overflow at any second now. "Johnny," I mumbled in a hushed voice. I was afraid to speak any louder because of how broken Johnny was at that moment. Anything could cause him to fall apart. Never would I have thought Johnny could get to a point where he was so vulnerable.

"It doesn't matter," he tried to reassure me, or maybe he was just trying to convince himself.

"Why didn't you go to your sister?"

"Well, one: you're closer. Two: Jueun wouldn't be as comforting in this moment." A pitiful laugh let his mouth. "I just want to forget about Ten."

I swallowed hard. "If you want, we could watch something. Maybe that'll help?"

Johnny ended up agreeing. We sat on my bed, putting in the first season of Friends to watch on my TV. Whenever something funny would happen, I would laugh along, and glance at Johnny to see if he was feeling better. He would stare blankly at the screen. I was about to lose hope, until I noticed a smile crack on his face.

We ended up talking over the show, telling funny stories and making jokes. Our heads tilted back in laughter. I realized how loud we must've been, and I tried to shush us, but that only made us want to laugh even more. Once we settled back down, our attention was caught again by the TV.

I don't know when it happened, I don't even remember falling asleep, but I did. The next thing I knew, I was sitting up and stretching with the morning sun shining through the curtains. The main menu of the disc played on the screen of the TV. I smiled, hoping that Johnny was feeling better.

But my heart stopped as soon as I felt the bed move beside me.

I hoped and prayed that it was just Jisung. My gasp was so loud I thought I sucked in all the air in the room. Johnny jumped, waking up from his slumber. His head came up so fast that it hit my headboard.

"Shit!"

"Shhh!" I hushed him.

Johnny's eyes were the size of saucers when he realized he was still at my house. "Why am I here?" Johnny asked under his breath.

"I should be asking you the same thing." I could feel the stone cold look on my face.

I whipped my head in the direction of the door when I heard footsteps in the hallway. I shoved Johnny off my bed, rushing him towards the closet. I closed the door, right as the one to my room was opened. I pressed my back against my closet with a big grin on my face.

Jisung narrowed his eyes at me. "Why is there so much noise coming from in here?"

"Uh," I coughed. "I'm still waking up, so my balance is a little off."

Jisung made a face of disbelief, but shrugged it off. "I'm just reminding you that everyone is coming over later to spend the night since we're going to that Halloween party tomorrow. It's going to be lit!"

"Never say that again." I rolled my eyes. "Yes, I'm aware of everyone coming. You should go downstairs and start cleaning."

"Hey, Jisung!" our mother called from the bottom of the stairs. "Was Johnny coming early?"

"No, why?"

"His car is parked in the driveway!"

My fingers pressed into my palms as I cursed under my breath.

"Maybe he is here early." Jisung tilted his head, looking like he was thinking.

I paced over to the door to my room. I pushed Jisung out and into the hall. "Maybe you should go outside and see for yourself if he's here or not."

"Why are you being so weird?"

"Why are you being so weird? Go find Johnny." I slammed the door shut, leaning against it with a heavy sigh. Johnny stepped out of the closet. I waited for Jisung's footsteps to disappear down the stairs. "I swear, if we get caught..."

"We can just explain what exactly happened."

"And if that happens, you better hope they believe us." I ran my hand over my face in frustration and anxiousness. "We have to get you downstairs without anyone noticing."

I reopened my door, inhaling deeply before leading him out into the hall. Listening, I couldn't hear anyone downstairs. I nodded my head in the direction of the stairs to tell Johnny now's our chance. We were halfway down, and I was so sure of freedom.

Jisung suddenly slid into view. He was standing by the wall, hiding from the view seen at the top of the stairs. He had a look of victory on his face.

"I knew something was going on! You seemed too suspicious."

I slammed my hand down on the railing. We were so close.

"But, why are you here Johnny?"

I sighed, glancing at the two guys. "Ji, Johnny had a rough night."

"Rough as in...?" Jisung gave me a weird look.

I picked up a shoe that sat on the stairs, threatening to throw it at him. "Jisung, I swear! He found Ten cheating on him."

Jisung's playful smile fell and his eyes clouded with sympathy as he looked up to Johnny. "So, you spent the night with my sister to feel better?" Mischief twitched on the corners of his mouth.

"When did you develop such a dirty mind?" I questioned, dropping the shoe from my hand.
