Laksh was getting closer to Ragini, hypnotized by her eyes, but just then Ragini angrily turned around and her hair hit his face, making him return in the reality.

Ragini left the room while Laksh kept looking at her from behind.

Ragini came in the living and Sanskar, who was watching the TV sitting on the sofa, saw her and stood up immediately: "So, what's your final decision?" – He asked going towards her.

Ragini: "I accept this job..." – She said looking down.

Sanskar smiled: "Oh great! Then give me your number! We will discuss about "salary" and other stuff via message... if you don't mind..."

Ragini looked at him and smiled: "Sure!"

They exchanged their phone numbers.

Ragini: "You know, you both are so different! You and your brother... What's his name?"

Sanskar: "Laksh..."

Ragini: "Oh yes, I mean Laksh is so rude and you are so kind! You are south, he is north... you know what I mean."

Sanskar: "He is stupid and I am intelligent?!" – He laughed.

Ragini laughed: "Exactly!"

They were laughing and they raised their hands to exchange a hi-five but they stopped their hands on mid-air noticing Laksh who was looking at them with crossed arms raising an eyebrow. Ragini and Sanskar looked down silently but, as soon as Laksh went back to his room, they slowly started to laugh again and completed their hi-five.

Ragini: "Now I must leave, my family must be worried for me."

Sanskar nodded. Ragini stepped ahed but she slipped in the carpet and was about to fall when Sanskar held her by the waist. She put her hands on his shoulders. They looked at each-other: Sanskar's pupils followed Ragini's ones.

"Haule haule" tune (from "Rab ne bana di Jodi" movie) plays in background.

''Haule Haule ho jayega pyar , chaleya!

Haule haule ho jayaga pyar..."

Suddenly someone knocked at the door and they recomposed. Ragini looked down while Sanskar went to open the door. He is surprised and confused to see a crying girl (Swara) at the door.

Sanskar: "Excuse me, who are you?"

Swara was sobbing and wiping her tears with a handkerchief.

Swara (sobbing): "I am sorry to disturb you but I'm looking for my sister, she hasn't returned home since afternoon and we are really worried for her. She is wearing an orange anarkali..."

But before she could finish the sentence she saw Ragini behind Sanskar. The handkerchief fell from her hand and she ran towards Ragini and hugged her tightly: "Ragini!! Where were you? We were so worried for you! We looked for you everywhere!"

Ragini broke the hug and wiped Swara's tears: "Swara don't cry, I'm here and I'm fine!"

Swara: "But what are you doing here?"

Ragini: "Let's get home, I'll tell you everything."

Swara wiped her remaining tears and nodded.

Ragini turned towards Sanskar: "Ok then see you tomorrow and thanks for everything!" – She thanked him before leaving.

Sanskar smiled: "It's ok."

Swara was looking at them confused.

Ragini gave a last smile to Sanskar and went out the flat. Swara followed her but Sanskar called her from behind: "Excuse me..."

Swara turned and Sanskar gave her the handkerchief which was fallen from her hands earlier. Swara looked at it and then at Sanskar. She slowly took it from his hands and turned to walk behind Ragini.

Swaragini entered in their flat. Sharmishta was sitting on the sofa and Shekhar was on his wheelchair and they were looking tensed.

Ragini: "Maa! Papa!"

Sharmishta got up and Shekhar turned towards Ragini. Sharmishta ran towards her and cupped her face: "Ragini! Are you fine? Where were you? Why are you so late?! We looked for you everywhere! You don't know how much tensed we were! Why you didn't take phone with you? Who does like this? What if something happened to you!"

Ragini smiled and put her hands on Sharmishta's ones which were still cupping Ragini's face: "Maa why are you so tensed? Look at me!"- She indicated herself from top to bottom – "I am fine and you can't even imagine how much happy I am!"

Ragini held Sharmishta and Swara's hands and made them sit on sofa.

Shekhar: "What happened Ragini?"

Ragini was so excited and told them about Sanskar, hiding the circumstances in which they met to avoid making them worried. She told them about her part-time job and about Laksh.

Sharmishta: "But Ragini, how did you meet Sanskar?"

Ragini got nervous: "actually.. I.. I got lost and asked him directions and then got to know that we are neighbors and all.. I told him that I was looking for a job and he wanted me to help so he offered me this job." – She lied.

Swara is touched by what Sanskar did for her sister.

Shekhar: but Ragini, as you said Laksh is.."

Ragini: "I know Papa but my love for my family is more than my hatred for him."

She hugged Sharmishta who was sitting near her: "Right Maa?!"

Sharmishta smiled hugging her back: "Right!"

Swara: "I want an hug too!"

Sharmishta hugged her too and Shekhar smiled looking at them.

After a while..

Ragini came out of the bathroom and saw Swara sitting on the bed looking at a handkerchief with dreamy eyes and with a smile on face. Ragini slowly went near her and....: "BOOM!" – She shouted in her ear.

Swara screamed returning back in the reality. She looked around and saw Ragini sitting near her. Ragini raised her eyebrows: "So my dear, what's going on in your mind?"

Swara put the handkerchief in the drawer and lied down: "Ragini let me sleep, tomorrow is a big day!"

Ragini: "Oh really?"

Swara didn't react pretending to sleep. Ragini smiled shaking her head and lied near her. Swara opened her eyes and recalled Sanskar. She sighed and then closed her eyes smiling.

Meanwhile in Sanskar&Laksh's flat:

Sanskar was lying on his bed and wasn't able to sleep. He was looking at the ceiling recalling Ragini's laugh, her smile, her voice, their moments: her thoughts were occupying his mind.

Sanskar told to himself: "Why am I continuously thinking about her?"

He sighed and smiled to himself and slowly closed his eyes.

Laksh was in the same condition of Sanskar. Almost. He was thinking about Ragini too, recalling the way she slapped him and told that she hates him.

Laksh: "Hatred at first sight. Not good. Enmity with Lucky. Not at all good. She is such an headache and I'll have to bear her everyday... but she is cute."

He smiled a bit.

The next morning:

Swara and Ragini entered in the Academy. It was their first day and they were excited and nervous at the same time. Swara has chosen her best jump suit while Ragini was comfortable in her blue and white salwar-kameez with her long and straight hair left open.

They put their stuff in their respective locker and then stepped inside the classroom: all the students were talking to each other. Suddenly a voice called Ragini who looked on and smiled seeing Sanskar coming towards them.

Sanskar:" Hi Ragini! Hi... Swara right?"

Swara nodded smiling.

Sanskar: "Raginj told me about you."

They were talking standing at door when someone coughed behind them. They turned: Laksh was standing there holding the hand of a girl who was wearing a short black dress with white flowery patterns. Behind them there was Omi and another girl.

Laksh indicated Ragini: "Ragini right?"

Ragini nodded looking at him angrily.

Laksh put his hands around the shoulders of the girl near her: "So Ragini, let me introduce Karishma, my girlfriend."

Ragini looked on.

Karishma (Roop Durgapal) looked at Ragini from top to bottom: "Hmm... nice dress! From where did you get it? You know my maid has a same one."

Sanskar stepped towards her angrily but Ragini held his arm to stop him.

Swara didn't stay quiet: "What do you mean by this? See don't even try to say anything against my sister or else.."

Ragini: "Leave it Swara, don't waste your time with these brainless people. I was expecting his girlfriend to be like this only. No smart person would stay with such a stupid one."

Karishma: "Did you just called Lucky stupid?"

Ragini: "I am doing that since we unfortunately met. Right now I called you stupid as well.

Karishma was finding the words to reply but before she could say anything, Ragini, Sanskar and Swara left. As soon as they were gone, Laksh left Karishma's hand.

Karishma: "Lucky! Why didn't you say anything to that girl?!"

Laksh: "Lucky doesn't speak, Lucky does."

He went and sat behind Ragini followed by Karishma and the others.

At the end of the lesson, it's time for a break and all the students left the classroom. Sanskar, Ragini and Swara were about to go in the courtyard when..

Karishma: "Hey! What's the hurry?" – She called them from behind.

The three turned around and saw all their classmates, including Laksh, there.

Sanskar: "What's all this?"

Laksh went towards him and put a hand on his shoulder and walked around him: "Bhai did you forget our first day here? We were challenged to do something and if we hadn't done it, we would have become the losers of the year! Today we have two new students between us, Swara and Ragini; they have to do the same! What say guys?" – He and Karishma smirked.

Everyone exulted agreeing with him. Swara and Ragini looked at each other.

Ragini: "We won't do anything like this!"

Karishma: "But it's a tradition of our academy, you can't go against it!"

"Yes, you have to do it!" – many students shouted.

Sanskar went to Laksh: "Lucky, what are you planning?!!"

Laksh ignored him: "So, without wasting much time, let's start with the mini cracker" – he looked at Swara – "Hmm.. let me think about what make you do. What do you think... about a kiss?!"

Sanskar shouted: "Laksh!"

Laksh: "What's the matter Bhai? Chill! It's only a peck on the check. Swara, you can choose anyone here!"

Ragini: "She won't do it!"

Swara: "I will do it!"

Ragini: "Swara!"

Swara: "I know what I am doing Ragini, don't worry."

All started to shout: "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!!"

Swara looked down, but a smile came on her face. She went near Ragini and kissed her cheek. A smile appeared on Ragini's face and she hugged her sister: "I love you!"

Karishma: "This is not done!"

Sanskar: "Laksh said she can choose anyone."

Laksh gritted his teeth but calmed himself and smirked: "It's ok. Smart move. Now, my atom bomb.." – He looked at Ragini – "You have to kiss someone on his cheek too, but it must be a boy!"

Sanskar: "Lucky this is disgusting, she doesn't know anyone here how can she.." – He made a grimace.

Ragini looked down.

Laksh: "She knows me, doesn't she? After all she is going to be my teacher! I won't mind! And anyway it's just a kiss on cheek!" – He chuckled.

Karishma glared at him but then, seeing that Ragini was still, she started to laugh: "I guess we have the loser of the year!"

Laksh smirked.

All were laughing but just then Ragini moved towards Sanskar and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. Sanskar's eyes became bigger, Swara looked away feeling uncomfortable and Laksh's smile disappeared.

Ragini: "I am sorry Sanskar.." – She said looking down.

Sanskar: "It's ok Ragini." – He blushed.

Karishma: "I guess we don't have any loser this year, till now." – She said grudgingly.

Ragini: "Excuse me? Of course we have. It was a challenge, wasn't it? You gave us the challenge, in case we didn't we would have been the losers, but now that we have done out part and that too, modestly talking, brilliantly! So here the losers are those who gave the challenge."

Karishma: "What rubbish!"

Swara: "It's a tradition dear!" – She said getting Ragini's point.

Laksh gritted his teeth and clenched his fists: "What do you mean?"

Ragini: "Isn't it clear? The losers this year are you Laksh, your girlfriend and whoever planned about this so called ridiculous challenge!"

Many students there started to agree with her and laugh on Laksh and co. who left from there angrily.

The following hours passed in regular lessons and the first day at the Academy got over like that. Ragini had now to go to Sanskar and Laksh's place for the tuitions.

In his room, Laksh was waiting for Ragini without knowing the reason of his impatience. He was walking left right and the wait seemed never-ending for him. He wanted to confront Ragini. Since the moment they met, she was insulting him. He recalled the slap and then he being called a loser. This was just not done.

Laksh: "How dare she? What does she think of herself? I did a mistake by not driving carefully and I accept that but how can she keep insulting me!"

Ragini was some minutes late but Laksh felt like he is waiting since hours. He took a glass of water from the jug on the nightstand but just then he heard the door bell ringing and got distracted splitting the water on his t-shirt.

Laksh: "I am sure this must be Ragini at the door. She just came and this happened! Shit!!" – He said irritated. He surely was in bad mood and the reason was Ragini.

On the other hand Sanskar was lying on the sofa with a pencil between his teeth and a book in his hand. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear the door bell. He was looking at the ceiling instead of the book. Flashes of his first meeting with Ragini, where he placed her dupatta on her shoulders, their talks in his car, the way she slipped and fell in his arms and then that kiss, were continuously coming in his mind.

''Paaya maine paaya tumhein

Suddenly the door bell rang again and this time he heard it and returned in the reality. He got up removing the pencil from his mouth and went to open the door.

As Laksh had guessed, it was Ragini. She was holding some books.

Sanskar: "Ragini, you here?"

Ragini furrowed her eyebrows: "I am here for the tuitions, you already forgot?"

Sanskar: "I am such a stupid! I didn't forget, how can I forget just that I was thinking about.. about... well, leave it! Come!" – He was a bit embarrassed.

Ragini: "I didn't know you were such a strict boss that if your employee is few minutes late you open the door late too!" – She kidded coming inside.

Sanskar: "What? Boss? Employee? Late?"

Ragini: "Yeah, you offered me this job and you pay me so basically you are my boss, aren't you? And I was a bit late but when I came you didn't open the door for a while, doesn't that mean you are a strict boss?"

Sanskar: "I am not a strict boss, just a distracted guy!" – He replied scratching his back head.

Ragini giggled going towards Laksh's room.

Sanskar slapped his forehead with his hand: "I am a distracted guy??! Why am I behaving like a fool?! What's happening to me? Couldn't you say something else Sanskar?"

He recalled Ragini apologizing after the kiss and his reply "It's ok Ragini."

Sanskar: "What will be thinking about me? Why I become so nervous and say silly things in front of her?" – He sighed.

Meanwhile Ragini entered in Laksh's room and as soon as she came inside she screamed covering her eyes. The books she was holding fell from her hands.

Laksh was standing in front of his wardrobe shirtless.

Laksh: "You are here? What happened? Why are you screaming?" – He asked confused.

Ragini: "Do you always stay like this? Wear something!" – She kept her eyes closed.

Laksh: "I was just taking a t-shirt to wear. Why are you behaving like this? Girls die to see me like this and you are covering your eyes?!"

Ragini: "I am not like those desperate girls who drool over you. They may love guys like you, I don't. I only hate you!"

Laksh: "And why do you hate me?"

At this question, Ragini opened his eyes and glared at him angrily: "Didn't you feel ashamed when you asked me and my sister to kiss someone among those people we met today only? What if there wasn't Sanskar? You would have humiliated me for whole the year in front of everyone right?! What did you even thought while giving me such a ridiculous challenge! Shouldn't I hate you for this? Should I worship you?"

Laksh: "What are you doing here if you hate me so much? Why did you accept this job?"

Ragini: "Because of you my father is on wheelchair today. He had gotten a promotion at job and that's why he was transferred from Kanpur to Mumbai but he couldn't go to work for one week that this accident happened, just because of you. I was left with no option. I am not selfish; I wanted to help my family! Why are you asking me these questions? I should ask you, why are you behind me?"

Laksh: "I'm not behind you. I just can't..." – He stopped.

Ragini raised an eyebrow.

Laksh held her elbow and pulled her closer making her wince.

Ragini: "What are you doing?"

Laksh: "You slapped me on the road in front of everyone, you humiliated me in front of my friends. Whenever you are around, you insult me! I hate you!" – He pushed her. Ragini looked at him with an angry glare.
