Kate's POV

Done, I've finished my maths homework. I ended up doing the whole textbook though.

Just in time, too.

"Kate! Dinner's ready! It's your favourite, pizza!" My mum yells up the stairs. I looked at the time- 7 o'clock- Dad must be home already. I ran down the stairs and sat at the table. Pizza was placed in front of me and I began eating straight away. My parents joined me at the table and we all ate together.

"How was school?" asked Dad. I would tell him that Tara pushed me in the mud, he and mmum have no idea about Tara.

"It was fine." I said. "I got full marks in my maths test too, but yeah that's it"

Dad congratulated me and Mum smiled. I flashed a fake one back- it really wasn't that exciting. We all continued eating in silence.

After I had finished my food, I put my dish in the sink and looked at the clock. It was quarter to 8- I still had time. I climbed up the stairs and turned on my laptop. I opened the messaging app and went on the chat with 'Taran567'. Taran is my online boyfriend. He asked me out a while ago, and I agreed. The only issue is, we've never met in real life.

Anyways, I text him hello.

ME: Hey x

TARAN567: Hey Kathryn, how's it going?

(Oh, by the way, my full name is Kathryn- I didn't want to say I was Kate, in case it was some creep on the internet)

ME: Not bad, how   about you?

TARAN567: hmm, I think you're lying to me-

No one is ever 'not bad'

Tell me what happened today

I smiled- he knew too well.
