Today was one of the best days ever! I threw Kate in the mud! And Kathy and Jada even laughed!

I parked my pink Ferrari by the water fountain and walked into the house. I greeted our maid, Mary, and headed upstairs. Mum was probably still at work, and probably wouldn't be back until late, as usual. Ever since dad left, she spends more time away from the house, maybe because the house brings back too many memories. Most people would love to live in a mansion, but with no siblings, it was very boring. I would invite Jada and Kathy over, but mum says outsiders would ruin our house, regardless of whether they were friends or not.

Sometimes though, I wonder if Jada and Kathy really are my friends. They seem to be drifting away from me. For example, we used to love to pick on Kate. But today, they just left me to push her in the mud; they just laughed whilst I did it, and then walked away. It used to be...different. I don't know how, but it just was.

I don't get it though. I used to be a clever kid. Like Kate. But then I had one bad test. Kathy and Jada were usually the people at the bottom, and somehow this time, I'd stooped lower than them. They said they thought I was cool. And I'd be even cooler with them. First, I didn't go with them. No way would I go to their level. But then my parents divorced. I stopped trying. And I joined them, and did what they told me, to be cool. I have to admit, many people do now see me as the 'popular girl', so Jada and Kathy did something. I even got a boyfriend. Many boyfriends, in fact. Jada and Kathy had made be popular, I couldn't just ditch them, so I am forced to put my thoughts aside. They are more my best friends than my enemies, after all. 

Regardless of whether Jada and Kathy joined in, pushing Kate in the mud was worth it. She deserved it. Who does she think she is, getting full marks in her test? What's more, it was a maths test! The worst test of all! When Professor Bernley announced that Kate had the highest score, you should've seen the smirk on her face. She was so happy with herself. I felt like slapping her on the spot. 

 If there's one thing that Jada and Kathy have told me, it's that good grades mean bad things. So when I got announced as the lowest scorer, I couldn't help but turn around and flash a huge grin towards my two best friends. They smiled back and mouthed 'well done'. I was proud. 

I get my phone out of my blazer pocket and text Tara and Kathy in our groupchat called 'Die Nerds!'. Tomorrow we plan to steal Kate's homework and rip it to shreds! I cannot wait! At times like this, I am grateful for Jada and Kathy.

I hear the door open downstairs, along with a flash of lightenign. I then hear shouting. I can't hear much, but I hear the words 'why', 'started', 'dinner' and 'hungry'.Mum was home. And it sounded like she was shouting at Mary for not making dinner. Urgh. 

That's it so far! How do you like it? Kate's one was a bit shorter lol.
